I keep hearing "MK9 had more stages" but they weren't new stages. They were just old arenas from previous games with a new paint job. MKX has all new stages, with the exception of Sky Temple. And these stages look 10x better than the ones in MK9.

Fine. For MKX, I want 2-4 old arenas from previous games with a new paint job. If you don't like them, don't buy them. For me, arenas are just as important as the characters.

I don't know why the 60$ matters. There's a metric shit ton of content that justifies the price tag. I guess you can have constantly changing towers, fully cinematic story mode, 100+ finishers, 3 variations for each character, online factions, and a Krypt full of stuff. But if you don't have a certain amount of stages the game ain't worth it.

And who knows? Maybe you will get stage DLC. Wait and see what happens.

You still don't get it, do you? The towers, the story mode... they have something to do with the arenas and all of its offline/online modes. The arenas bring visual diversity to the game. I was pissed, because in MK9 some arenas, namely the The Tower and and The Pit Bottom, never appeared in the single player ladder. It may not be important for you but is extremely important for me.

If you care about stages fine, but to say that the game isn't worth it just because of stages is silly to me. When there is so much content that damn well makes the game worth it.

But if that's how you feel then fine.

Injustice had more stages & transitions; NRS is going backwards with less stages & no stage fatalities.

I never said that. I said, that I preordered the game and I'm gonna enjoy it, but the amount of stages will leave a bad taste in my mouth. Also, I said that the stage count is NOT unacceptable, but unforgivable. Not changing my opinion.

Yes, you must be right. I'm here to teach them a lesson. I guess I shouldn't buy the game because of an aspect of development I'm disappointed in. I'm reluctant to get into bitch bitch whine whine threads, but I do agree that 13 stages is a little low compared to MK9's, which spanned arenas from MK1 - MK3 and threw in a few new ones (like the flesh pits).

Especially disappointing considering stage fatalities are deconfirmed, which I'm still trying to wrap my head around.

You think NRS studios woulda learned after the backlash of no stage fatalities in MKDA... Guess not...

What backlash? I remeber that game getting a lot of shit, none of it related to stage fatalities. Most of it was aimed at the bullshit engine.

One fatality per & no stage fatalities were definitely both part of the backlash. I remember stupid rumors that House of Pekara had a stage fatality. Google 'MKDA Stages' and the first few results will mention lack of stage fatalities.

There are several MK9 Stages that could easily be copied and pasted into MKX that would fit the storyline.
