It's acceptable. I mean, I'm still buying the game, but the quantity of the arenas and the lack of stage fatalities is... unforgivable. Yep, I will never learn to not notice the repetitive dozen stages. And the lack of stage fatalities will leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Every MK game has something that's really driving me nuts. In MKX, it's the arena controversy.

I believe that they prioritized, same with Stage fatalities, in Boon's interview with AngryJoe he said with all the stuff that IS in the game, some stuff had to be left out, such as tag battles, im sure the shortage of stages is due to a similar reason.

Yes, and that reason is more $. Watch for dlc stage packages. The greed never stops.

So, what exactly does this game offer DIFFERENTLY from what MK9 gave us? I'm probably not even aware of everything.

Brutalities? Stamina meter? Running? More alternate costumes? Fan favorites like Tanya and Tremor through DLC? Better online gaming (supposedly)? Factions? Better graphics?

MK9 has DLC characters as well, just saying.

This could've been handled better But it does kinda throw me off during storymode with setpiece-to-stage transitions.
Despite all the good things in MKX, I can't shake the feeling the game just feels like..less.

Then don't post in this fucking thread.
As for the topic, 13 stages does suck. However, as someone else mentioned, this is NRS's first go at the next gen systems, I am pretty sure they are just making the foundations of greater things to come in the near future.

I agree with op 100%. How the hell does a game that spans 25 YEARS only have 13 stages?!?!? This is just retarded. I am already sick as hell of the out world marketplace and the jungle level & I haven't even touched the game yet :( wtf NRS? WTF?

Should have been 4 to 6 stages more.
I'm not really counting the training room as a stage. It's basicly an empty room or just the other stages when interactables are enabled.
The transition from story to stage is indeed a bit odd, but understandable.

After waiting 4 years and being assured certain elements would be present; I'd like a complete game. It's not a lot to ask.

So the game isn't complete because it doesn't have more stages? Lol Smh

Yes, it screams a rushed game. In terms of arenas, MKX is a substandard product, compared to the other current fighting games and the previous 4 games in the MK series.

A game is most easily compared to its predecessor. In this case, the predecessor to MKX had 25 stages and 26 if you had PS3. How can a 50% reduction in stages feel complete? Oh right, because of all the detail. Come on.

I stand by what I said. Most people, when given the opportunity to choose a stage, tend to stick with their favorite. This was incredibly obvious during Injustice, for example. Same with the Mario Kart series.

The team is dealing with a new system so we don't know how much more work goes in to making the game look a certain way and what had to be cut out.I never said anything about detail so why are you bringing that up? When the next fighting game they work on comes out I'm sure the things lacking in this game will be there.did you take that into consideration?

I'm tired of excuses.
The game needs more stages. They should do something about it. DLC, more kontent for the Komplete Edition... I don't care.
