I've been in some brief scuffles (once while in drag. THAT was proof enough to me that chicks can fight in heels ) but I never saw pieces of clothing just falling off in big gaps :P

I'm fine with damage, i encourage it, on the face or wherever. Blood cuts bruises (although those are some damn quick bruises)... I just find it odd some of the clothing damage... Only fights I've seen where things got THAT ripped were those drunken wrestle fights where they're not really trying to hurt each other so much as get all homoerotic and nakey...

She looks very battle damaged. I'm not exactly sure what's to discuss here. The fact that she's got the sides of her pants ripped and showing some side boob? Right now she's still the most clothed woman in the new game. And the only reason that Kitana and Mileena don't have more battle damage is because what they're wearing can't be ripped any more otherwise it would fall off. Is that what this topic is really about?

How convenient that being kicked in the upper thigh results in just enough clothing falling off to reveal your whole upper leg and ass cheek :P

Meh, at this point I'm not surprised. Seems to be what they're going with in this game, I kinda got over the shock of seeing the women almost buck naked back when Sonya's nip-naps nearly fell out of her battle damaged overtly-tight-for-a-teen-rated-game tshirt. Fingers crossed a few punches to Jax or even Johnny Cage and his bulge becomes more noticable!

Interesting to know just how they'll manage to shred Sindel's outfit and still be able to retain that decimal of modesty that keeps her covered up! lol

I have no problem with her battle damage. Those slashes across her calf looks like she's been fighting Reptile.

Gives the game an edge, that's for sure.

Have you ever seen a big fight? Sometimes people are almost naked, but realism is the last thing that makes me ok with this stuff.

Sheeva doesn't really wear clothes so instead of getting daamged she should just get uhm.... madder. You know like the hulk.

lol but srsly, I'm ok with my char getting mashed up as long as I can mash up my foe even worse. If I can. I like the damage. It's nice escape from the rubber mannequin fighters out there. Adds ore to fatalities too, and really suits the game's brutal energy overall. I'm impressed that female characters are not spared any damage...though Sonja's sideboob addition IS a little funny imo. lol OH how CONVIENIENT

I hope battle damage can be turned off completely. I didn't like that I couldn't turn it off in MK vs DC either. Or that stupid rage mode.

It seems like something that should have a toggle button. I love it but I can see why others might not. Though I DO find it odd that an MK enthusiast would be agaisnt battle damage. I'm a SF fan myself, originally, and I admit I had a completely different view of MK fans. I suspected "the more gore the better" kind of sentiment. Do you not like gore or just don't like that your character gets beat up and it shows?

This. The character models are so gorgeous that we'd just like to admire them when they aren't all shredded up.

That said,I really wouldn't worry about this. As I recall,previous MK games all had gore level options. Deception had the option to turn off the Death Traps. And didn't the GBA MKDA allow you to choose blood color? I'm sure character damage will be optional as well.

The models are nice, but the interactiveness of the damage is too sweet for me to complain about if my precious Sheeva is purple in places. Just don't give her green blood, mmk? OH and honestly Sindel should remain unscathd but instead have her hair get more and more messed up until she has a permentent pissed off scowl on her face with some heinous frizzies

What kind of sluts have you seen where you could look at Sonya and go "yeah, she's a whore". The only thing that I don't get about her outfit, aside the high heels is the lack of any undershirt. Aside from that, her battle damage looks fine. I think the only thing people are raging about is that she's missing part of her upper pant leg and showing some thigh.

He battle damage looks the same as everyone else's battle damage. I don't know what you guys are complaining about (other than people who just don't like battle damage overall). I'm pretty sure she'll be given an undershirt, if she hasn't got one already (I dunno if I can see a shirt in the scan, I think I can but that might be hopeful thinking). In no picture have I seen anything that I'd even begin to describe as a slut or whore. If anything, she looks classier than her MK vs DC or MK: SM rendition.

Well she's not, she's fighting Sindel. Just look at the right side of the image of Sindel screaming (or whatever) and you can see Sonyas's hand.

Of course I agree that battle damages should be allow to be tweaked in the Options, or some junk. In fact we should encourage NRS to add that option, that'll get their hands out of their pants for once.

As long as her costumes never look as revealing as that "body damage" I won't complain.

Her body damage is just as ridiculous and exaggerated as everyone else. It's simply that: body damage + tons of sexiness.

What I find super curious is that despite Mileena being the "sexual character", Sonya's the one who's been portrayed more like a "sex symbol" judging by everyones comments on her look and style.
