That was the whole point of taking the mask off, dude. He stopped being a ninja assassin. He left the clan.

I actually think this one looks cool, however, instead of having him bald, give him his short MK3 hairstyle or a regular ponytail.

However, he is probably going to have an MK3 style outfit. I wouldn't mind that though. ^^

Something similar to his MKDA primary. It's always been my favourite design.

A slicked back ponytail might be cool.

Well good thing its not about what you want. You amke a thread asking what the Kommunity wants, and just discard anything you dont like.

Read the posts, people like this look. So stop being biased and either give every option, or request your thread to be closed for improper use. You ask and then say no....? ok ?

I would like to see an updated version of his MK3 outfit, so I guess pretty much something along the lines of his MKDA primary actually. Unmasked is a must.

I personally enjoyed his Deception look the most. Mostly because I'm a huge Ninja Turtles fan and it pays homage to Shredder. An updated MK3 costume would also sufficetongue

His MK: Deception alternate costume is awesome, but the overall look would have been better if they didn't have the bald and ponytail look. I don't see that kind of costume being his alternate for this game, but it would be nice to see again in a future game.

Both MKD costumes are out of the question. The primary because he finds that armor later in the story and the alternate because its effing ugly. The MKSM is a cool one but he already has a masked one and we all know he'll have an unmasked with scar one, which leads us to the MK3 one. In my opinion that one is really cool and it was a shame that they ruined it when they tried to bring it back in MKDA. The primary in MKDA-MKA is cool too but it's too similar to the one he already has, and as I already said before, he already has an outfit with a mask. So yeah, MK3. wink

Never liked this look. He resembles a two armed blue Goro. I do appreciate the fact they took a chance with it though.

MK3/MKDA is awsome and clearly has support.

MKD is out of the question anyways yet you include it

MKSM is still at least holding support and you dont even put it in the original post.

tell me how your not completely biased? stop being a fanboy and do this properly please. Im not even a Subzero finatic, I am just extremely annoyed at how childish this is.

I actually like this idea. NRS could learn a lot about the value of simplicity in design.

Then we wouldn't have messes like Scorpion's shoulderpads that are scorpions and look retarded.

Can't say I would have put the Shaolin Monks costume in the running.

I mean it's a fine Sub-Zero costume, but it looks too much like his primary. Same reason I wouldn't list his MK2, Mythologies/4, DA Primary, or MKvsDCU costumes as options. (Unless they do more Retro DLC, that is)

Alts never look like the primary. That would defeat the purpose of having them.
What NRS is actually going to give him as an alt can really only come down to two options, a remake of his MK3 outfit, which is the most obvious, practically a given, really...or something entirely new and completely unexpected, much like his Deception Alt was.

The funny thing is that they've started the series great with simple designs. They're working too hard on the new outfits for the wrong reasons. Remember when they mentioned how it took forever to design Scorpion's new look for MK2011? I like the retro Scorpion outfit better.

Just like the other ninjas, each should have an alternate without a mask on, I mean we know what they are, and will show great artistic-side of the team to show off what they really look like; same for the females too.

I swear that Shredder-looking one from Deception is about as korny as they could've ever gotten, amazing people actually liked that LOL, almost pissed myself when I first seen that look; LOL DESPARATE LOOK, when ya can't think of anything else lets turn him into Shredder!!!

I really wouldn't mind if they totally change things around and actually make him a cyborg or partial cyborg regardless what anyone else thinks; him and Scorpion as GREAT as their both made out to be are getting quite OLD quickly!!!

Exactly right. I like the retro Scorpion better too.

Maybe it's because my personal aesthetic leans toward simple designs, but I loved the costumes in MK1 and I loved the costumes in MKII. But in MK3, they just started doing stupid things with the designs. MK4 they simplified somewhat but they still had a lot of design issues. MKDA they started to go crazy with character designs. MKD it got worse. MKA was more of the same. MKvsDC had good character designs, but they could've simplified them a lot more and still had them look good.

Now in MK2011, they're going back to the overdesigned stuff that makes me shake my head in despair.

"MKDA they started to go crazy with character designs."

MKDA was a re-invention of the series and to demonstrate that fully, they had to hugely redesign the characters. Take them from 1992 and place them into 2002. Deadly Alliance wouldn't have been as unique if Sonya was still dressed in her cheesy 1980s exercise video jump suit from MK1. So it gets a pass from me, and to some extent, so does Deception/Armageddon.

Simplicity is good. But it's no longer the 90s. I would be pissed if all the ninjas classic costumes were their defaults. That would suck major ass.

I think Deadly Alliance was the sweet spot for detail.

With the old MK1 thru 3 costumes, they all look too bare bones, like you would at least want to see some dragons or lettering on the pantlegs or something more complex than large stripes, some sort of branding instead of plain black pants, like fighters would really have, but you could tell they went "No, it won't show up right on the digitized sprites, we have to be very simple for the sake of our graphical limitations."

You finally started seeing a little more in the way of logos and decoration in Mythologies, then 4, and finally, DA they could do whatever they wanted and make it look right. I mean if you look at MKDA Scorpion, he actually just looks like MK1 Scorpion, but there's better textures on his clothes and fancier wrist guards. Another example is, Sub-Zero's MK3 costume was directly brought back...but they got to throw some kanji on his suspender squares and a crotch flap instead of goofy wrestler spandex, with a fancy dragon embroidered on it. It looked so much nicer that way, it's like they were saying "This is what we wanted to do, now we can."

When they went from 3D to HD, though, they clearly lost their god damned minds with putting shit on there you'd need a magnifying glass to appreciate. It's just too far over the top. At least with Scorpion, that is.
I actually really like most of the cast's outfits because they do look like modernizations of their old gear, but there's just a couple that seem to no longer hold the spirit of the original character in them, and in Scorpion's case it's because he's so fucking busy looking because they went for that stupid H.R. Giger aesthetic that he never had before.

It got to the point for me as if they were competing with Soul Calibur's detailed designs. Maybe because the overuse of weapons at the time. Everything looked alittle awkward to be taken serious. Cover ups were okay, but here and there alot of stuff should've been left out.

Eh, no shame in competing with SC for character design, depending on WHICH SC it is. I think Soul Calibur lost it on over-detail in 3, but the characters looked perfect in 1 and 2.
