I imagion ist being more like this.

Sindel punches the guy in the gut. As he bends over in pain, she then whips her hair around him. Then, with her hair, slams the guy's, head first, onto the ground by using her hair like a whip.

(going to stop quoting because its getting too big)

Well, for me...I want characters more than anything. So naturally, I'll be very motivated to get them over many things.

Again, I'll still be satiated since theres plenty of things in the krypt. But I wouldve liked a few (not all) characters to buy.

Its like how in MVC3 I've already grown bored with it because I have literally NOTHING to do but play arcade and online. Obviously, MK is offering MUCH more to do than MVC3.

But whatever. This isnt even that big of a deal to me. I just felt like I needed to defend myself since that one guy basically vomited all over my opinion.

Sheeva sounds great. She is exactly what I wanted and is what the roster needs.

Ok this bothers me. Kintaro wasn't on the character select screen in the leaked photo OR the video with the guy playing with shang and subzero.

why is this? and if he is playable how is sheeva the tallest? he must have been counting the hair because kintaro is the tallest shokan in all the games he appears.

Thanks for the post, good stuff here. She claps "herself" with the opponent's arms or am I reading this wrong? I'm guessing she smashes the opponent's skull with the arms similar to Jax. I wanted Sheeva to be more nimble, but I can get use to her being a powerhouse.

Yeah, that made me curious too. What I got out of it is that she removes the arms somehow, and uses the opponent's arms to clap after she does whatever finishing move.

Depending on her attitude in the game, I could thoroughly enjoy that as a little "Eff You" to whoever she just killed.

Not saying youre wrong, since theres no way of me knowing.

There was an interview that said they weren't. However it could be misdirection...who knows? Maybe Shao Kahn's alt comes with the story mode if he's not playable?

That's my guess, too. Also pretty sure the earliest shot of Goro (when people weren't even sure it was Mk9 artwork) had him as having no armor on, contrary to his ladder shot. [EDIT: Disregard, armor is indeed on Goro in that first shot.]

Two fatalities for an unplayable character? Doubtful.

To be honest I don't know.
All he wrote that she cla[ing with the arms of the opponent.
I am curious myself what does it mean.

Maybe you unlock them along with the alt costume after beating the Challenge Tower? Would definitely be worth doing 300 missions that way.

Kahn having two fatalities doesn't confirm his playability but certainly does raise the chance.

And wasn't it confirmed in one of the magazines recently that 14 characters are available from the get-go and the rest need to be unlocked? I really hope that was BS and that the characters really ARE unlocked from the beginning.

That person might've thought the PAX build was the final version when they said that.

The bosses are playable and if it wasn't obvious before the description of Kintaro (and the whole DLC thing) and Kahn having more than one fatality should be enough to make people realize that they are.

I'm guessing you really didn't like MK1-4. All you really have to do in them is arcade mode and online. Does that make it a crap or boring game?

What happened to the good old days when everyone wasn't ADD and had to be given something to have fun. "NO I'M NOT GOING TO PLAY UNLESS YOU GIVE ME SOMETHING FOR IT".

I'm getting the feeling nowadays that with acheivements, unlockables and extra modes that just the main basic mode isn't enough for people.
We're living in a world where people pay money for Avatar The Last Airbender purely to get 1000 gamerpoints in 3 minutes. That's not gaming.

PS It's nothing against you brah, just had a wee rant bubbling up when you mentioned that. It's not aimed at you.

Guys, it's time to just accept it already. Bosses aren't playable. Boon said it. Hector said it. Now Shadaloo is saying it, and Shadaloo does not fuck around when it comes to stuff like this.

Ya'll fought a good fight, but it's over now. They're not playable.

To be perfectly honest. You are kind of right.

I did like MK1-4 at the time. Because at the time, I did not expect anything more than what they offered.

I'm "spoiled" in the sense that videogames have advanced so much that you expect as many features as possible. You couldnt release a Beat em' Up like final fight for 60 bucks today...but back then it was awesome. Things change. If MK9 had as many features as MK1, I'm not going to lie...that would be horrible. Horrible because I KNOW they could do better.

Also there is a HUGE difference between having guys in the krypt and playing for gamerscore. I have a ps3 and I never try and get trophies. All trophies gives me is "bragging rights" and I have no interest in those. Only reason I wanted unlockable guys in the Krypt is that it gives me more to do. The more there is to do, the more I play.

And again. I have 0 problem with MK. I think they are offering more than enough to motivate me. I wanted unlockable guys, but not having them isnt a big deal.
