I'm actually a little confused. Do people want more information like arenas, characters, bios, etc or do people just want to see more of the game in general?
Because I think people just want to see more of the game in action.

I want characters and their bios. Last week's Scorpion vid should have been the first of a weekly series. The game comes out in 6 months, there are 26 weeks in 6 months, and they've got 26 primary characters. It would be the perfect way to pass the time until the game is out.

I've got to join the ranks of all the people who were amazed by the incredible tag-team combos. That was some of the sickest stuff I've ever seen in any fighting game, period. All that "Super Marvel vs. Capcom meets Rival Schools of Fate Hyper Fighting Turbo Championship Edition 13: Battle Arena Dark Resurrection" crap is pathetic compared to this. Does anyone seriously play games where down-to-forward and all seventeen punch buttons perform 112-hit autocombos that deal 18% damage?

This forever.

I am not too impressed with this MKast for one and secondly I was hoping that it would be in 2 parts instead of 4. I appreciate the fact that they tried so hard to get it to us on time even with technical difficulties but to me I really don't think it was worth it.
I am thinking they better answer some damned good questions or the whole thing is a waste of time. Almost everything said in this episode was irrelevant to what is obvious. I thought it was suppose to be a deeper look inside the game? I dunno,I feel like they are just stalling because this to me is disappointment. What do you think?

His hair is... Awesome sauce.
My opinion on this MKast is that this was very informative in telling us how they are really taking advantage of the extra time given to them to advance development.
I love the direct feed gameplay videos. The graphics are spectacular, awesome combos. Cyrax is a beast! I am greatful and satisfied with this episode 10/10. Thanks NRS!

I still don't understand that whole "post-release tweaking" thing. How can you get the changes to everyone's game if NOT by releasing patches?
Unless they're saying that everyone who buys the game after a certain date will get a less buggy version than what ones who bought it on its first day? Essentially meaning that there will be heaps of different versions of the game.
Sick vid though, I love hearing them talk about the developmental process.

The "post-release tweeking" isn't for fixing patches - it's for balancing characters. The type of things they can change are how much damage certain attacks do. It's usually only used for competitive online modes where balance needs to be perfect. They should also be able to change server settings (since servers are on their end) to help increase online performance and decrease lag.
Uncharted 2's multiplayer allows the developers to tweek things in a similar way, they use it to change how much damage weapons do, and how often / where weapons will spawn in each map / arena. They also allowed players to used holiday themed characters (such as Drake wearing a santa hat).
NRS could use it to change the pit level to have santa fly by more often and other things like that. I just hope they don't take it too far if they do something like this as some holidays can be offensive to some.

I find it a bit silly for people to be in awe of the combos when they clearly stated everything is more than likely going to change anyway. What they shown are just possibilities and are not set in stone. They said it plain and clear that with each character they make they pretty much make changes to all the characters for balance. Like I said before,I am not too impressed because this system almost every game maker goes through...this stuff is pretty obvious.
As for the combos...the best one I saw was Cyrax's. That air grab and slam was actually sweet but it does not make up for what we got so far. Regardless that there was limitations on video for youtube and all that...I still think they should upload all the footage in one day or at least release it every Monday and Friday. Recent tweet said next week...that is lame. It is an MKast not character reveals.
Here is to hoping the Gametrailers reveal will make up for this.
The only good thing we really got from this MKast is the fact we know they are focusing on the balancing of characters more and that they want the moves to accent the characters more than ever. That is not deep info inside how the game works but its something I guess. EDIT: That new version of Kitana's special air attack(square wave punch) looks horrible on impact & recoil. It also looks slower than the original. I don't like how she lands so far away after the connect. I think she needs to flip closer or something...maybe even not have it not knock the opponent so far back. Cyrax's net special does not draw you in now from the way it looks...I dunno if I like that. Scorpions current air throw looks silly...I like the old flip styled air throw better.

The moves and combo list won't particularly change much, what they most likely mean when they say about going back and changing things is the speed and damage of the attacks, and maybe even adding in a few moves. I can't really see them taking things out unless they add in a replacement.

Oh so it'll only work for online play, not offline? I guess that's ok, online is where it really matters anyway.

I would love to do another fan based MK assessment as a way to formally reply to these guys because this is just too enjoyable (check out the last one we did for people who don't know what I'm talking about. the link is always in my sig space). It's too bad though, I don't have my equipment at the moment.
To hear them blatantly address an issue like gameplay is a great confidence booster. I wonder if Check actually got hired as a tester?
PLEASE gimme this...
