yeah Kitana look amazing, i would hated if she looked like MK2 which is one of the most boring costumes i seen.

I think Kitana's render pose is absolutely amazing!!! It is so classic and so awesome. She looks powerful and deadly. I really hope that's her official render because it's fantastic.

But people really need to cool down! Hasn't it already been established (a billion times) that Kitana looks uninspired and bland with that "new" costume? I seriously don't understand all the bashing against her as if this was the first time you people actually see her outfit and her boobs-size! They (the boobs) are no bigger than the ones we saw in the PAX videos.

I'm still not fond (at all) of the costume and hair design, but, her pose in this render seriously kicks butt. I hope they re-design the steel fans because they look really ugly (and I agree with WarriorPrincess regarding the MK:A ones), but if not, I hope they at least make them look like they did in MK2 and MKU.

Crow, I would like to know your opinion of Kitana's UMK3 attire, since she too had "overly exposed" cleavage. Because you are coming off as if she never wore such a thing.

I think her costume is awesome personally. Really not that revealing at all. Reminds me more of jade but i still like it. I think what people were arguing over earlier was more a definition of "whorish." I totally disagree. I think she looks great in the light blue and silver. I think it's a welcome change without being too drastic and out there. Plus I have a personal preference for lighter blues anyway.

Although that recolor you did looks very nice and if they had gone with the traditional darker blue and gold instead of silver for her secondary color I wouldn't complain.

Her Annihilation fans were nice. But they seems more sword-y than projectile-y which is probably why she hasn't gotten them. The fans in this game are my favorite so far.

Yeah there's some things that i'd like changed (fans, a little less flesh, add tanya's dress thing), but overall I think she looks great. If she plays well then everyone should be happy.

I "care" because if they want me to spend $60 for their product I want to enjoy myself with it, which entails having things I like present in the game. I personally think kitana looks badass. I will agree with Crow and say she defeintly looks to revealing, mainly because my girlfriend had an argument with me about females in video games and how they are basically only there to sell sex and whatnot, long ass discusion i wont get into.

I actually now that i take a better look at it think it is very inspired. Though im not the kind of person that thinks regular is very inspired, i agree that you shouldnt pay 60 dollars for something that you wont enjoy. Thats the beauty of forums. The detail work with the gold on her costume is reeeaaally good looking if you ask me. The bracer things especially. Her costume actually has a really chinese look about it which screams Edenia for me. Though kitana isnt one of my favorites i may end up giving her a try lol

Well, my instant reaction after seeing the scan was: WOW!

The pose is fantastic, hopefully it will be the same in the official render.

As for the costume itself, I like the shade of blue they went with and I like the boots and arm pieces as well. I think her hair looks fantastic (they only need to fix the animation and I'm sure they will) and the mask is cool too. The fans are a bit bland, hopefully they add some details.

As for the whole sexy (I won't say trashy, 'cause I don't think it is trashy) look- I assume they're going in that direction for all 3 of the "ninja" females- I expect Jade to look similar to Mileena and Kitana in her primary costume. Alternate costumes will be more diverse hopefully, and I'd like for Kitana to have a more conserved look there.

Costume aside, Kitana's model to me is perfect. The face (visible parts) looks pretty, the hair is great, the whole model is just feminine (we all know there were plenty of issues with female characters looking like males in the past) and attractive.

I don't think the proportion's that bad, the breast's a bit big, but Kitana isn't supposed to be some average woman, she's supposed to be extremely beautiful. I would have toned it down a bit if it were up to me, but it's not really game-breakingly bad. Besides, video game characters are always like that, it's a side effect of being made up by teams of mostly guys.

As for the costume itself, I don't think it looks bad, it just doesn't feel very Kitana. She's an assassin, and I always pictured her as the more down-to-business one. I would totally buy as a Jade costume for instance, and like it, but for Kitana I would prefer something looking more practical.

Also, Shao Kahn's outfit is really slutty.

The MK3 models, whilst hardly clad for modest family outings, were positively conservative compared to this thing. The cleavage certainly wasn't weaponized to the degree it is in the render, helped no doubt by the fact that they were restricted by an actual human being! Comparing the two is really quite absurd!

There's no good reason for Kitana to look like this.
It doesn't lend any credibility to her as an assassin; it's not appropriate to what we can assume of her relationship with Shao Kahn; it isn't becoming of any type of royalty, Edenian or otherwise; and it generally flies in the face of her character, particularly if you consider Mileena's overt sexuality as being justified by it's contrast to Kitana, and reactionary nature.

Fawn over big boobs and long legs all you like, a spade is still a spade.
It's a dull bit of cloth that adds some much needed flourish to the character and design (on the boots), but ultimately remains completely ineffective in giving Kitana the embellished look she's long overdue for. More uninspired tripe! The kind of stuff the series should've, and momentarily looked like, moving well beyond.

I don't mind a revealing outfit, but it should be interesting first. I think saying, "Well, the Edenian characters have always looked like whores...so as long as they continue to wear as little as possible, it'll be okay," is a very weak defense for a lazy, boring, bland, and uninspired design.

Compare to Mileena's Deception primary. That was a very revealing and sexualized outfit. But it also had thought and effort put into it. It was memorable and a distinctive design...and not just because Mileena's tits were hanging out (though I'm sure that's what people remember most about it).

Look at this "new" Kitana design and can you honestly believe any more than 40 seconds was spent on it? I bet fifteen of which were spent on trying to decide whether or not she should wear the one-piece bathing suit again and the last thirty were on designing the inlay patterns.

Nothing about it is memorable. Nothing about it stands out (except for her tit size, judging from the responses in this thread). Nothing about it suits or defines Kitana as a character...except apparantly that she, like all other Edenians/Shao Kahn assassins, is a skank.
Oh yeah, she's wearing a tiara. Or at least, it looks like one. So...just in case we forgot....she's a Princess (which has troubling implications for how she's going to portrayed in story-mode).

I've seen people say "At least it's better than her MK/DC outfit." Well, that's like saying it's better to have three cents instead of two. It's still minimum wage, either way you slice it.
(By the way...who wants to bet her alternate will look just like her MK/DC outfit?)

And as a Kitana fan, it just strikes me as despressing indication that she's getting bare minimum effort and is otherwise just a quota character.....AGAIN.

I'm actually very pleased with the render myself. I love Kitana's pose and the fans and she looks better than she's done for awhile. I have no issue with her cleavage and do agree that the size should be similar, if not identical to Mileena. At least she isn't as exposed.
I do hope her alternate outfit offers something new however. We've seen this same sort of design and look for her since the beginning and it's time Kitana got a complete makeover.

I'm inclined to side with Crow on this one, even on a sex appeal level. Personally, I woud find Kitana a lot more attractive if she had the proportions of a real woman. And before anyone goes spouting off that there ARE real women with boobs that big, let me say that IMHO boobs can be TOO big, even real ones. I don't too much care for the stripper with implants look, sorry. A princess should have class, even in Edenia where everyone wears a bathing suit.

If I went to a strip club and saw a stripper wearing what Kitana was wearing, I would think that was a high class stripper lol (NO it's not an oxymoron lol). The way it's embroidered helps give it a little class. I approve

yeah, I came back too when I heard about this new game. Usually with other games, when a character is revealed, gamers talk about the actual game play that's been updated with said character, there's usually not a 4 page debate on the character's physical appearance lol. Even after the Pax stuff, I still haven't heard too much about Kitana's game play, just how she looks like a skank blah blah blah. I'm not here to bash anyone's opinion, we're all entitled to one, and it is fun to see what other fans think, but it would be cool to elaborate on more important things. Like gameplay

I like hearing others opinions, but at this point I beyond sick and tired of hearing the words skank, slut, trashy, and stripper. It is truly annoying.
