Jack Nicholson was a great Joker.... but Heath Ledger is the Joker now. It's very much the same in my opinion.

Honestly, I've never thought of either of their Joker's as definative ones.
They were both very stylized to that particular actor in that particular movie. Neither was just "The Joker" they were Jack and Heath AS The Joker.
I personally, when I think of The Joker, think of him more like Mark Hamill's... Batman The Animated Series or Batman Arkham Asylum version.
And I'm not saying I'm a Hammil fanboy, per say, I just think taking the actual actor's image out of the equasion helps the CHARACTER shine a little more than the ACTOR. Which I don't think is the case in Jack or Heath's scenario.
Heath's Joker I call, "Heath Ledger Joker"
Jack's Joker I call, "Jack Nicholson Joker"
Hammil's Joker, I just call "The Joker"
But I've totally veered off Kano at this point... lolz...

The Joker's not exactly the good example. Burton's Batman, Nolan's Batman, and comic Batman are three separate continuities.
MK9 Kano is supposed to be literally the same character MK1 Kano, MK3 Kano, and MKDA Kano all were. The Goddard face worked for MKvsDCU because that game WAS a separate universe from the main games. This one is not, so the character, logically, ought to bear more resemblance to himself than he currently does.

I will add that, in the story mode, Shinnok better look like Steve Beran.

There's a lot more room for interpretation with Shinnok 'cause "Steve Beran's face" wasn't the first to play him. The actor from Mythologies was.
As long as you've got an old man with stark-white flesh, glowing green (or possibly purple) eyes, and a demon horns-shaped red pope hat/crown, you've got Shinnok.

I thought he looked best in Deadly Alliance. It's a nice mix of his two looks. If I had to choose from just the two, I would go with the Trevor Goddard look. I never liked the bald look from MK3.

Definitely Kano's bald and shaved look from MK3. To me this marked his best appearance in MK, look and story wise, a traitor to Earth who bargained for his life by teaching Kahn's army how to use Earth's weapons.

how about a shaved Kano with hair BUT with a catch.
With scarring just above the metal plate on his face. Maybe burns and laceration scars to sort of push his hair line further back (much like a real accident victim) I dont want you to picture something as extreme as two-face but just enough scaring that it accentuates his metal face. And possibly inferring the process was extremely painful.
Why shaved? ( just to avoid the whole "Hello, Im Kano and I'm here to show you an exciting new product that will surely change your life for the better...Oxyclean!") my point is that even though Goddard rocked the beard with style, they can become a joke over time.(I would NEVER say this to Chuck Norris!)
I dont know...its kind of hard to incorporate something new when im so late to this thread. I hope I tickled your fancy. well, I'm not that late.

to me it depends on the back story, if his Aussie bearded is good but if they make him Asian like originally he was go the mk3 look. Mk3 in my opinion is awesome and meaner but I want atleast one Australian in mk...And I'm glad he's evil instead of a good guy that has a crocodile fetish like most aust interpretations haha

I remember him most looking like Steve Beran. It's kinda similar to how people see Quan Chi by Rich Divizio. I don't. I picture him as his MKDC face.
Jarek and Mokap needs to look like the people they were based off of though. (Herman Sanchez and Carlos Pesina respectively.) Especially since Mokap Man is just Carlos Pesina in 3D. I wasn't happy with Jarek's MKA face. Hell, I wasn't happy with him at all. Only liked his moves.*venturing off topic*

I also tend to think of Quan Chi by his MKDA or MKvsDCU face rather than thinking of Rich Divisio because Divisio was so buried under the makeup, the character of Quan Chi in Mythologies didn't really look anything like MK1/3 Kano.

To me, the bald and shaved Kano made his metal face plate stand out, which is what makes him interesting phisically-wise. When you think of Kano, you think of his metal face plate, or am I wrong? At least I do.
