I'd rather talk about this behind closed doors, but seeing as how there is no longer a way to chat with users, I've been forced to do so here. Where are the site guidelines? Also, how would anyone be aware that they committed a transgression unless they happened to notice a change in their inconspicuous "Dragon Points" total? I would think communicating with your users, when they've committed a transgression would be the best action to take. In my opinion, penalizing users would best be handled by first pointing out the offense that they've committed so that they are aware of how to avoid making the same mistake in the future. Or, give the user a chance to edit his or her post because he or she may not have been aware that they've even committed an offense, which is exactly my position at this point in time.

I was also under the impression that contributions to the "Fan Kreations" center would warrant an uptick in the total of "Dragon Points". Seems as though that's no longer a thing.

Also, post totals are still glitching. Sometimes the number increases, sometimes it doesn't.

Actually, we do, its the bubbles on the bottom right hand corner. You do need to be friends with a user, but once you are, just click on "Send Message" when hovering over their username anywhere on the site.

Agreed, and we've started adding moderation notes below those posts to make that clear.

We did; we don't now. Its still be decided whether we want to go back to doing so long term.

Numbers get cached for a minute or two; they do actually update and the view should update after that minute goes by.

Nope. Standard iPad running a regular version of safari with zero plug ins.

When I hit post reply, a black box appears and doesn't allow you to do anything. You can quote a post and your keyboard will pop up, but the black box remains and you're basically typing blind.

Everything was fine the first couple of weeks. It only started in the last week or so.

Hrmph. I'll have to get a hold of an iPad or an iPad emulator then to test. I can't reproduce the problem on either Safari or my phone.

So I’m having to type this from an iPhone, but for some reason nothing shows up when I’m on my pc to reply to a thread.

I click reply and it’s just black.

Ok. I cleared my browsing history and that seems to have fixed the problem. Everything’s functioning normally now.

​​​​​​Just registered like 30 mins ago (which had some issues of its own, but ended up fine). Here are my initial thoughts, from using via mobile (iPhone X).

• Default Sub-Zero theme is not very readable (actually, most of them aren’t)
• Uploading a user profile pic simply didn’t work. It just did nothing after choosing the pic. Link version worked fine.
• Mobile layout of the forum view (list of threads) is just... not good
• No breadcrumbs within threads, to easily get back. Instead, have to use browser’s “back” button, which takes you back to the edit post screen (if you just posted a reply), then you have to go back yet again go get to the forums. Either that, or you have to completely restart your navigation from scratch.
• No thread memory, so every time you return to a previously viewed thread, you have to scroll through every page/post and try to remember where you left off.
• “Reply” button under posts within a thread doesn’t work. Click it, the word “reply” pops up, but nothing else happens, no matter how many times it was clicked.
• Smiley (emoji?) icon does nothing when clicked
• Uploading an image into a reply just inserted a giant black box, and navigation and editing became impossible. Had to reload the page and try again.
• Editing a post causes the text box to become extremely narrow, and jumps all over the place while typing... if you can manage to start typing, since it’s a gamble if it will let you scroll or not.
• Poll results on bottom left of the page are clipped off-screen
• Random zooming/scrolling issues, especially when typing

Basically, this is the most user-unfriendly forum I have ever used. It has been nothing but frustrating. Try to use this site on an iPhone and see how long you last.

I post on TYM and Reddit (among others) daily with zero issues, and was just looking to find yet another like-minded community to join.

I would highly recommend upgrading to something more usable, like xenForo, which is near perfect.

Please disable your ad blocker. The forum and profile both use Imgur for upload, and if you have an adblocker enabled, neither will work.

They are actually there, but hidden on mobile. I'll reenable them once I figure out how to have them not take up too much height.

This appears to be a bug in the editor we use, same with the box changing shape incorrectly. I'll have to look into why this is.

Wow, thanks for the speedy responses! Yeah I can’t seem to find the poll thing anymore. Weird. It was something like, which reveal character was most hype, and had percentages. But it was shifted too far left and I could only see the last digits of each one. No idea which page it was on though.

I’ll post some screen shots later for the themes. But basically the contrast between text and background was not easy on the eyes, when viewing the lust of threads. The Scorpion theme is perfect though.

There is, but it isn't enabled on mobile. I'll make sure to get that added to the mobile view as well.

Please hard refresh and take a look. I've implemented most of the changes, although the editor might still require an extra click to focus into. I'm still working out how to remove that requirement. Please let me know if you encounter any other issues.

Yeah man, seems much better! And notifications! Awesome. Is there a way to get the notification to focus on the actual post? When clicked on, it takes me to the right page, but all the way to the top of the thread.

I also noticed that the like and other buttons no longer take two clicks to activate. And I didn’t even mention that one, lol.

Loving these quick changes already!

Oh man, and a back link within the threads now! Perfect. Can this be added to the bottom as well? That way you don’t have yo scroll all the way back up to the top.

We used to be able to search forums using keywords and such. Any plans to implement that back into the updated site? I'm kind of full of myself and like to look up my old posts for giggles from time to time.

It exists, but the search takes way too long right now. I'm working on replacing it with something better.
