Well if that one guy is legit who predicted Cyrax and Sektor being in the story mode...he did list pretty much all these characters as DLC, and he also said Reiko and Sareena. Plus he claimed 3 secret/unlockable characters

This list matches everything that was said in the same leaked stuff as the correct roster. These same people also mentioned Sareena and Reiko. Considering the DLC is only 9, assuming its 12, we may get those two since the others were so accurate.

From a development standpoint, Ash makes a lot of sense. It's just repurposing Leatherfaces moves from MKX.
But I take it with a grain of salt, considering that these days they realize people are datamining everything and they could 've just put random names in there. And if there are still spots unaccounted for, they are probably open for fan request at that moment?

I also did saw something about 1 stage and 1 extra story (chapter?).

Sindel, Nightwolf, Fujin, Shang Tsung. I am in! Now pls one or two from the 3d era like Havik (pls NRS Havik would be a lot of fun) and maybe Hotaru/Ashrah and the fun begins. Only if Sektor and CYrax are secret kharacters.. if not then pls both as DLC :D Oh well.. time will tell.
