What if Frost returns as a cyborg? She was Lin Kuei after all....

I kind of like that they're keeping the Frost/Sonya rivalry alive in this time line...even if it isn't actually WITH Sonya directly.

I always saw it as one of those "mutual hate at first sight" things.

Like, Sonya was the one who immediately recognized that this chick was bad news. And considering how Frost turned out, I suppose you can also look at it as dramatic foreshadowing of sorts.

For some reason,I always envisioned Sonya and Kuai Liang being tight in the original timeline after MK3 events, I mean, she is the only Earthrealm hero (besides Raiden of course,but he is God) to visit him in his new reformed Lin Kuei while he started training Frost in MKDA.

Sonya is usually portrayed as distrustful to strangers ( I suppose she might have been distrustful of Kitana and Sub-Zero during MK3 but then maybe coming around once knowing them), but once you are family to her,she is going to protect precious people to her. She just knew that Frost is going to bring Sub-Zero down somehow. But that's my crackpot.

In general,I always envisioned in original timeline that Sub-Zero and Sonya had that "even though we don't hang around much, you know I always got your back!" kind of relationship. I just wish NRS would elaborate on these two in the new MKX but I doubt it. (Even though Sonya and Jax are the first Earth heroes Kuai Liang encounters in MK9)

*sigh* Quoted for truth. Boon can be a real sap at times. & I was looking forward to seeing a longevity amongst the new characters too. Especially Kotal Kahn & Forest Fox.

Frost vs Cassie is an amazing nod to Frost vs Sonya MKDA's Konquest rivalry.

I just hope Frost doesn't get killed off. Personally I'm not really a fan of her but her storyline potential is immense & her being a female Cryomancer makes her even more valuable. Last I checked we didn't have a bunch of Cryomancers running around.

If that was the case I'd say it would be the daughter of Bi Han, that way it would explain the evilness in her and could still of been that way in the original timeline, but considering shes already in MK 2011 as seen in both Pit II background and Cyber sub-Zero's HUD during story mode...no way, plus there's always this which hopefully they elaborate more in MKX

Do you think she will be used as Hsu Hao just to be killed off or do yiu think we will learn a bit more of her.

I'm still curious about her cyromancers heritage and connection to Sub Zero(s)

I think she will be playable in MKX, she was in the background of the Pit II stage and she flashes during story mode in cyber sub-Zero's HUD in MK 2011, with her coming up in the comic and being in the same timeline as Cassie, just furthers my theory.

I have no problem with Frost, but with already having a Sub-Zero, it seems that her being in too might be unlikely, I know it happened before but they will really have to get creative for her variations if they want to set her apart from Sub-Zero and not just feel like a female version of him.

Agreed. I feel like a lot of energy was put into making Sub-Zero's variations feel distinct. Having six well-executed ice-related variations is a stretch.

I hope Frost returns for the game but i don't think she will. but if she does, she can't be a carbon copy of Sub Zero (KL).

But he being in the comic i can't help but wonder what role she will play. I don't think she will be killed so quickly like they did Hsu Hao was but if they do kill her im sure it would be in a more grand fashion. But i hope she returns for the game or she escapes and is left alive for later use!

Mk 2011 had a couple ice characters. Do you think they'll go back to 3 ice Lin Kuei ninjas? One was just a skin but it was still 3 characters. I guess I could see frost replacing cyber sub but I doubt they'll go that route again. I think she'll be in the game story though, or a decendant at least.

I don't want Frost dying. Vogel called her one of the best characters and she appeared in MK9.

But I expect her to die.

If Frost IS the daughter of Bi-Han in the realm of possibility, then who did he make out with? Sareena is a very unlikely choice.

I for one believe Liu is out cold.

She is the only cyromancer I care about, purely based on her story potential. Being in the comic is a good start but I hope that she not tossed aside.

Well Bi-Han could have been Noob Saibot at that very moment, so I would want see him partner up with a Chaosrealm cleric; maybe Shujinko saves Frost from being brought up in the Chaosrealm, afterwards he teaches her cryomancy. I mean that is how I would handle her as a brand new descendant; her variations would have a chaotic or shadowy twist to them, while she tries to suppress her Chaosrealm heritage.
