This doesn't mean she is a returning character for mkx at all.

Shawn K has already stated that they would be pulling from the vast pool of lore and characters for the comics.

I'm not expecting any post-MK3 characters with the obvious exceptions of Quan Chi and Kenshi to make the cut. Frost will just have a small role in the comic like Hsu Hao, nothing more.

Characters appearing in the comic =/= appearing in MKX. Calm down, OP.

Just because the OP said Frost is returning doesn't mean that they meant she was returning to the video game. The comics are canon to the upcoming game so technically, Frost, like Hsu Hao, is making a return to the series. On another note, I'm interested to see what they do with Frost this time around. I was never a huge fan of her so maybe this may change my opinion assuming she has a large enough role in the story.

She might not be a playable character in MKX, but it's still NRS admitting that yet another one of the post-MK4 characters actually exists in the new continuity and wasn't shamefully swept under the carpet, so it's still significant.

I smell sexality between Kotal and Sonya.

Huh, Frost and Cassie battle it out. Wonder how the heck this is going to pan out. As much as she's my favorite, I never really cared for the random rivalry she and Sonya had in Deadly Alliance. I thought it didn't make sense with the kind of character that she is. And now that I guess she's going to be heading after Cassie, how is that going to get started.

But nonetheless, I plan on getting it. Even if she doesn't make it into the game, the fact that they're at least doing something with the characters they don'r want in X are having more show time. So I'm happy either way.

Cassie battle Frost? A new rivalry perhaps? I always imagined frost to be around the same age as Cassie.

Hopefully they don't kill her off.

Which brings me into the next thing. Besides Scorpion and SubZero, NO ONE IS SAFE FROM DEATH! it's like watching a tv show hoping you're fave doesn't get killed off.

I also like reading one of the descriptions for one of them having Scorpion battling Raiden.

That is an interesting match up, might be the cause of the whole "Resurrect my clan,' "you already had that chance" interaction between these two.

i mentioned on another forum about two possible ways this match between Cassie and Frost could end. Of course, I don't like theorizing as much as everyone else here but I'll give it a go... or basically say what I said on the other site.

I can't really see Frost dying here, and that's not the "me being a fan of hers" talking. But I can see it both ways.

1.) Cassie gets her ass whipped by Frost, thus making her train much more and that has her parents coming into action. It could be a way of having them introduce either one of these characters as the next character reveal. (If they're really in the game that is)

2.) Cassie does end up killing Frost with the fatality that we've already seen her do. But to add a little more depth to her character, maybe this could somewhat traumatize her in a way? Not saying that it should since we already have seen the kind of personality that she has but it doesn't hurt to see other stuff than the sassy side.

Would love to see Frost kill Cassie instead, which should happen

Remember how Sonya and Frost had a little bit of a rivalry in Deadly Alliance? Maybe that is being reworked and Cassie and Frost will be rivals.

What if at this point of the story Sektor is still on charge of the Lin Kuei and Frost is a Cyborg?

It's a possibility and a good reason to see why they're fighting against each other than having no reason at all.

Like literally, I do not think there is a reason at all as to why Frost attacked Sonya. It was stated in her conquest story but I do not think it stated the reason why she went after Sonya.

I think minimal. In the original timeline Frost was recruited into the Lin Kuei after winning a tournment Sub Zero hosted when he became Grand Master.

I do not care about the outcome of the fight to be honest, more intrigued as to what the circumstances are as to why Cassie would fight Frost and how they come into contact.

Do we think that Frost is possibly being reworked into the daughter of Sub Zero? So we have another descendant?
