sry for the late answer....
what stood out on Marek for me was his origin. i always was a "fan" of the Shadow Priests and having one to fight as is very cool . also i like his fatalities and x-ray . the only thing i don't like is the axe special...i can't imagine a mystical human throwing axes...this can be avoided by making the axe made of energy or fire...or something...

Yeah, I had a hard time coming with specials for him, the only reason I gave him an axe is because he wants to give his opponents a fighting chance.

Well, I'm starting to read up for the next bracket. Gendo, Ravyn. Ataxia, Adsler (wait, I've already read him, bonus), Nirvana and Okorik here I come.

Great idea for a character, I really like the idea that she hunts down potential kombatents and she has a nice set of skill that seem very coherent.
I also really like your designs for her, her second costume is my favourite though.

Wonder if it was a bad idea having the first day of the tournament proper on the day that Skarlet was released

Also, here are my reasons for voting the way I did in the first round.

Match 1: Khaali vs. Luna
I picked: Khaali
Why: I'll tell you below

While Khaali reminded me of Sheeva (obviously, how could a female shokan not?), she seemed pretty unique, and very brutal though not overdone like some characters I've read. Her design sounds pretty cool too (though in terms of plausibility, I don't think we'll be seeing a fully topless character in an actual MK game anytime soon). Her story was also very intriguing and well wrtten.

Luna was also very good, which made my decision pretty hard. In terms of appearance and gameplay potential, she was pretty even with Khaali (and I could actually visualize her moves better). It really came down to the stories, and Khaali's just intrigued me more. Judging by some of the other entries I've read and glanced at, Khaali and Luna are two of the better entries in the tournament, and it's a shame we have to lose one so early.

Match 2: Erebus vs. Ekimaru
I picked: Erebus
Why: Look no further!

Erebus sounds like a really neat character, and definitely unique in the MK universe. He had a cool story and some pretty cool moves, though I do think he could be a bit confusing to use. I also agree that having four different forms may be a little *too* much, but he's still a cool concept.

Ekimaru was also a good concept, and the drawings accompanying him were some of the best in the competition. His moves seemed a little bland though, as fire/light/heat powers tend to be a bit overused (especially in this KAK tournament). I also had a few problems with his story, namely how Ermac was just sort of shoe horned in as the assassin who killed his mentor. I just couldn't see one of Shao Kahn's most trusted warriors taking up freelance hitman jobs. I also didn't like the ending where he challenges the Elder Gods all by himself...it seems like a battle he's destined to lose.

Match 3: Terra vs. Malcom
I picked: Terra
Why: Have you figured out to scroll down by now? Sheesh...

The concept of an Elder Goddess as a playable character is intriguing. While it does raise questions as to how balanced she would be (is she still a ELDER Goddess, or is she like Raiden?), the character just looks amazing; some of the best art I've seen on here. Her size is a bit hard to comprehend as a playable character and not a boss, but Sheeva is huge too, so that's not a big deal. The earth powers are unique to MK, but they did feel a bit trite after awhile. I would've liked a little more variety. The story was great though.

Malcom was ok, but he was too bland for my tastes. His moves centered around his knives mainly, reminding me too much of Kano. Also, his designed didn't really interest me.

On that note, you, sir, owe me a character analysis

I have to admit that this round was certainly harder to decide then the 1st one because I pretty much liked all of them.
At this point I think Terra could win the whole shabang

Yeah, this round was harder, all of the charachters were really good. And i right now i have Terra as one of my favourites, along with Adsler. They are the best charachters i've seen so far (I read just a few :P)

Yeah I'm terrified if Malice has to face either of them! and thats if I'm even lucky enough to get that far as I have a pretty darn good opponent to face in my first match

You're terrified? I'm terrified! I imagine if Terra even makes it to Malice she's toast. Malice is a really great, strong character. I really like her. If she were in the game she'd probably be a favourite of mine.

LOL well I suppose it would be hard to tell as they are extremely different characters, but I dont hold much hope with my insane bunny boiler going against a god ;) I personly think your story has alot more depth and interest and thats will be and is her biggest strength.
What I do adore is that you made a very strong female character who 'GASP' is fully clothed and not completly sexualized

@TheAdder lol... join the line-up my friend. I owe one to LycaniLLusion for Luna, AlphonZeus for his updated ideas for Lonin and Spider804 for Marek. Plus I'm still reading through round 2 kharacters and you're not til round 6. You're jumping the gun :P

Anyway, I'll take a look at Merrick soon. Maybe tonight and let you know what I think.

I was nervous people would think she's too similar to Jade or Tanya, but I tried to make it as apparent as possible that Kuwinda's cut from a completely different cloth than the other two gals despite also being beautiful mocha skinned women.

Jade's the type of warrior who's loyal, sassy, sarcastic and full of attitude. She's more of an "in the shadows" sort of assassin who'd use a lot more strategy and stealth to kill her prey than a huntress like Kuwinda who'd be more likely to tackle her opponent head on when she thinks they expect it least.

Tanya is disloyal only to preserve herself, and is manipulative towards others to succeed in her own goals. Kuwinda's betrayal of her people was in arrogance more so than anything else. Having been renowned as an exceptional warrior she was quick to turn on her own people and slaughter them in battle than to even be associated with the losing party. She thought nothing of that betrayal for years because in her eyes, the weak deserve to be hunted, and her people were losing the battle during Khan's invasion. All that truley matters to her is her obsession with hunting down powerful warriors, and killing them to prove her power. That's why the outcome of the tournament means little to her.

I know how you feel. I'm facing Annete and i'm really scared, she is a great charachter. I'm so nervous, and it's terrible because our fight is the one before the last one, so it'll take a long time before i know what people think about them.

Me too, I''m not until the final round. But I'm glad that I've gotten plenty of praise for Marek at the very least.

I loved Malice, her duality was very intriguing and I liked the fact her playstyle would differentiate depending on which personality was more dominant. The artwork you done for her was amazing too, she reminds me alot of a sexier, darker version of Kuja from Final Fantasy 9. Would have loved to have seen her use those barbs in a similar fashion to Alessa in the Silent Hill movie when she rips the woman apart in the church, that would have been amazing! And for a 3rd alt, she could have those horn/barbs wrap around her body to form a semi-nude armour similar to Witchblade.

She has a lot of potential, captured my interest with her story and overall design but I would have elaborated on her romance with Khan a little bit more considering his Romance with Sindel never became of anything and I always wanted to see how a brutal warlord would treat his lover. As I said, it really caught my attention, she's easily one of the most memorable contestants I've read so far :)

Sadly as I myself have stated a few times I wish I had fleshed out her story more but I went down the Mortal Kombat official bio route, sadly its too late now.
I'm so glad you picked up on Silent Hill because that scene was a big influence, I was originally going to have her second fatailty rip them apart but thought there were already enough rip um in half fatalities, I thought the crucifixtion was something we hadn't seen before plus it seemed a lot more torturing to have them hanging there which seemed very fitting to her character. Prehaps she could tear them apart if she performs the fatailty in her tortured mind persona.
I do like your idea for her third costume but personally I was trying to stay away from making a female character that was scantily dressed
