I tried when I was making my character to have her be believable as an MK warrior, to have her as a fighter who was different from the rest but not to the point where she stuck out like a sore thumb. Initially I was going to go down the "revenge" route for her but then I decided not to because that's way too common in MK, so now she's got other reasons for entering the tournament that are slightly more distinctive. The closest comparisson to her would be a mixture between the insanity of Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal of Catwoman and the morally fickle and slightly ambiguous nature of Resident Evil's Ada Wong.

Kuwinda is shit fucking crazy, and is one of the only characters in the series to neither conform to black or white or show any real interest in the tournament's outcome. She's her own tone of grey and she's loving it, and she'll only play by your rules if that allows her to do what she sets out for.

I know the fanbase can be a bit tough, so hopefully you guys will look at people's creations here and offer constructive criticsm more so than "That fucking sucks" or "This/this/that is shit". I'm genuinely excited to see what other people have come up with, but fingers crossed this contest retains an element of maturity and respect as it has so far. Best of luck everyone!

Ditto. This is my first KAK Tourney also and I have no idea of how it works or the history of winners and so on. Yeah,the fans are a rough crowd at times and I hope the same. My character I did not go way in depth with and I kept it simple because I focused on moves and stuff a bit more. I did not go Photoshop crazy either but I did throw some quick concepts together just to fuel peoples imagination.

I am interested to hear more thoughts and pondering on the characters from other people. Like my character Luna...someone said she would seem to be extra terrestrial in some way with moon powers. Not where she is going but I do actually have a character that is an alien that I almost did use. I used the name Luna in reference to the classic game message "Look to La Luna" so I see why someone would think this.

Me personally looking at many of these names get the feeling alot of them are inspired by anime favorites.

My bio is pretty simple too, all I'll say about him is he's not from Earthrealm.
Real life issues have kept me from greatly detailing my entry, so I hope what I've managed to submit is satisfactory. lol

my bio is basicly 2 paragraphs, 1 short kinda history of him, second being what he wants to do next type of thing for the next game as it was said it could be for a place immediately after this game, hope you guys like him...

I made a bio similar to the ones in MKD. I told a bit about them, but tryed to focus on what were they doing, and why they were doing it.

I did pretty much the same. I already had my character's bio before, but tweaked it a bit to mash it up with the new storyline. Not a lot though, since her powers and story actually were a bit related to this new MK, and I did my character about 5 years ago, in the first tourny....

My bio is more of an introduction format. I did not go into history at all and I did it on purpose. I gave hints as to where she came from and who and what she is about. I wrote mine the way I saw it play out in my mind as if it was a part of an actual games story mode cinematic. I like characters with mysterious unknown pasts and futures so I wanted to reflect that in some way.

I had my charachters created in a tourney, but not for this forum. In fact it wasnt a tournament, it was just a contest in wich you created and alternate version of MK1. And i won. I just had to tweek the story a little bit too. And i had to create all the gameplay, because we didn't do that in the contest.

That's awesome. I do like mysterious characters. I tried doing that with mine, but I ended up going back story, her own realm, and her purpose of being in MK. But like you, I do like character with unknown pasts and futures. So right on for keeping Luna that way. Like everyone else, I'm a bit stoked to find out about Luna. Well, I want to know everyone's characters, and my competitors, lol....

Man, reading what everybody did for their bio is makeing me worry :P But I don't really mind. I'm just excited to see everybody else's creation. This is my first KAK tournament and I hope my character, Abyss, does well. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm more worried about the pictures, as i couldn't sumit one. That would be a hard point for De Kai & De Kiô

Well the pictures arent the main thing anyway, its jus so we can have a visual really as we want it able to fit in with the story, and for that i think the bio is important and the moves aswel. My i had my drawing from a while back to be honest jus never had a story for it and when i saw this i thought hey, ive got a few good drawings and my friend always develops them for me so i never felt too worried about the drawing as he is very talented but, saying that i know the drawing here isnt the main aspect i just used as a starting point

@miko2668 don't worry. Creating a character itself is EPIC. I'm sure Abyss is kickass, just like everyone else's characters. MORTAL KOMBAT!

I chose my character (Lorsid) to be mysterious...Her ending reveals more about her than her bio does, but I always find those characters more interesting...Like how Noob and Ermac were in the early games, and how Skarlet is in this game. Hope she doesn't disappoint :)
