i'm a little meh about akkro and kayatsu, but i liked them better.

Even though there's still a few hours to go, I must admit I'm surprised at the results so far, I thought it would have been much closer. Regardless of the outcome, congrats to Harle and Annette, you were worthy opponents.

Akkro would be in his 80s or 90's if he was shot down in WW2? Depends if he was in his 20' or 30's when he was shot down.

You have a point there buddy, but if you think about it:

A) We're not quite sure what year it even is in MK.
B) Most Characters are a Gazillion years old and don't even have a wrinkle to them.
C) Being 80 in MK is like being a toddler, overall. LoL.

I wanted to make him old so he would have this "old mad doctor genius" feel to it. If you must know, I got the inspiration for the whole "It-happened-in-WW2-yet-it's-2011-and-he's-still-young" thing in X-Men First Class (Kevin Bacon's role). Although I am aware Akkro needs more development, if he wins I'm planning on doing a complete bio on him along with a render for him and maybe I'll come up with a good explanation on how he stays healthy. Although in MK that doesn't really matter (Raiden, what's your secret?? LMAO) as long as the characters are present.

Thanks to everyone following Akkro, I can't wait for the results!

If you ask me, MK9 takes place in the 90's, after all, that's when MK1-MKT came out.

He's a brilliant 20 year old during WWII, and now he is in his late 60's.

Or you could just say the Lin Kuei kept him alive so he could keep working.

I can't wait to see the results, I'm trembling.

I really surprised by these results, especially the first match. I mean no offense to Akkro whatsoever, but I honestly thought Ire had a great shot at going all the way. I at least thought that match would be much closer.

Of course there's still the judge votes to be revealed, so anything's possible.

I'm just letting you know ahead of time, Annette will kill you. Win or lose, she will hunt you down and kill you. She means that lovingly.

First things first, congratulations to Ire, quite the competitor.

Just a thought, since this is a tournament BY the fans, and FOR the fans, I think judges' votes should be saved only for when there is a tie. Otherwise why do we even bother voting when in the community there's a CLEAR character the people liked the most, only to lose for "a vote that is worth more 'points '". Again, just a thought, maybe for the next tournament. But hey, happy to have competed.

If there was no judges, people could just get the most people to vote for them, and it wouldnt necessarily be the best fighter winning. EDIT: Kruor Malice.... Woah boy this is gonna get really rough. Bracket 1 all the way tho! Its gonna be near impossible to decide on votes pretty soon. Shiku vs. Deon Bordeaux is going to be a showdown...

@Projekt12: Dude, the judges are fans as well. Or else they wouldn't be moderators on this fansite. Also, keep voting. Don't be a Grumpy Gus.

Like I've said before, I agree that the community vote should be heavier but judges exist to make sure no one is artificially rigging the votes for themselves. That happened a little earlier, though it was obvious and I caught it, that person was attempting to power his way to victory in the Coliseum voting. There will probably be a larger amount of judges next time, and the community vote will be worth more, meaning that to upset the community vote you will need a larger portion of the judge votes than you need today. Anyhow, please put feedback in the official topic as I am interested in helping this contest be ran so all can be happy.

No system is perfect, but it's what we use right now. Keep in mind that using only community voting puts you out in round 1 against Lorsid, so even though you lost on it this instance, you did benefit from it in round 1.

As for my reviews, no idea on the ETA. I am going to try to start setting it up so I can do two per day, but don't hold me to that.
