Well when i wrote her ive always imagined the Elder Gods as those types of god characters that are so stubborn in their ways they will literally do NOTHING if anything veers from their intended "plan" (for example when raiden pleaded with them in story mode)

So even if it would lead to their destruction, they will follow through without hesitation.

They are so strict with rules they won't change it for anything..

So thats where the initial struggle lies within Serenity, she realizes that the Elder Gods think this way and shes stuck between following through with her orders or fighting to live.

I hope i explained myself a little bit.

You did. That is an interesting take on the gods I didn't think of.

This kind of thing makes me wish this competition had a question and answer element to it so the community could ask the creator questions like this and clear some things up. Maybe next time.

In MKA, Argus was tasked by the Elder Gods to prevent Armageddon from which he creates the Pyramid of Argus and sends Taven and Daegon on their quests.

Now, in the new timeline, who knows what the Elder Gods are up to. They seem to be neutral observers not wanting to get their hands dirty so they could be ultimately fatalistic, and want Armageddon to happen. However, in the original MK mythos, they do actively try and stop the realms from being destroyed.

Well yes i know but that's exactly why i wrote the gods like that, its like "cmon how can you let Shao Kahn win? Shouldn't you elder gods like do something?" The old timeline makes it seem like they sort of cared, but when i saw the intro to story mode in MK9 i really didn't know what they were doing. I'm sorry if Serenity's storyline is starting to suck in your guys eyes lol

And McHotcakes i agree it would make this competition so much more interesting. Hopefully Crow reads your suggestion.

Hmmm... Both of the first two rounds I am torn on whether to vote for the one I think is technically better, or the one that I just like better... Or perhaps voting against the one I just plain don't like.... Since I am no judge and am under no obligation to be practical, the path seems clear...

Akkro: Even tho Akkro seems alot like the doctor in Kabals arcade ending. I would like to see that guy at least in the next story for the game. I think Akkro would be a better fit then Ire. His connection with Shinnok seemed iffy to me, but idk. Liked Akkro slightly better.

Kayatsu: Might be one of the most unique characters left I think. A sumo wrestling hybrid raptor lady? Yes please. Lol...good moves and a story that isnt forced. Nice work

Marek: The big thing here was fitting in. Marek is a Shadow Priest, so theres his tie in, and I get that Annettes thing was kind of being out of the norm, but I think she was a little too farr out. I see her as more of an Assassins Creed type chick.

Thanks everybody who voted for my character in spite of his shortcomings. I realize most people are thrown off by the Second Costume, keep in mind I had to come up with it last minute or my character wouldn't have made it in (This was before the tournament got extended to allow more entrants but by the time I noticed it was too late.) To be honest I don't like the second kostume either but I think Akkro is unique since he gives a nice backstory to the Lin Kuei Robotics plan rather than the "Oh by the way, the Lin Kuei will turn into robots, just for the hell of it" used in the game. The way he loses his leg but gets revenge by stealing weapons from his captors give it a nice twist I think. And one thing I did that not many else did, I gave him weaknesses, by having to rely heavily on weapons but not being trained and skilled in martial arts. Overall, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for the support, you guys rockkk!!!

You know, if she's given the boot for being too different, I'm okay with that. It's the best possible way she could go.

Just to be clear, I wasnt knocking her at all. Annettes pretty kool, and I like that she is her own character, classy with a touch of brutal. These are things I look for in members of the opposite sex lol. Just in regards to MK I felt Marek was a better fit.
