Her fatality was an utter disappointment, the first vampire brought to the series and we get this... I have to go with Cyrax, despite that he's not that great either towards me, but at least there are some decent things about him that I like.
Nitara is also trapped within outworld but it's different. Her world is one with outworld, not separated. Plus I hate how she and Reptile sort of have the same goal but she only used Reptile for her own interest. He should kick her ass.

Hollywood will always remember him as a powerhouse player of the late eighties/early nineties action movie box office. In his heyday, Johnny Cage could sell tickets by name alone -- elevated from the cult status that established him in classics like; Every Dog Has Its Day and the hard-hitting Dragon Fist series. A string of formulaic appearances (Massive Strike, Cage Match) earned Cage the ire of almost every critic in town. As the pressure mounted, it seemed as if the infallible hero was about to crack.
As Cage entered his infamous unannounced sabbatical in 1992; the action star's reputation was ripe for assassination. With his star plummeting, many accused the actor of resorting to stunt doubles and movie magic to simulate the real-life feats he was (supposedly) no longer capable of. Gossip magazines reported rumors of massive weight gain, mental instability, substance abuse, and even open-heart surgery. Little did anyone know -- his time away from the spotlight would create a second act for the Venice icon, and a new height in his creative career.
Upon his return; Cage shocked and silenced critics with a reinvention courtesy of his own creation. Mortal Kombat was a different kind of action movie, filled with fantasy imagery and a modern take on classic Hong Kong cinema. Twenty years ago; the first in the series -- written and produced by Cage -- destroyed records for an opening weekend in the final week of Summer. Filmed in record time and with a low budget, it was the breakout hit of the year.
To this day -- the Mortal Kombat franchise is a household name, but in typical Johnny Cage style, over indulgence threatened to undermine his success. While many look to the original sequel - Mortal Kombat II - as the defining moment in the franchise; the rapid creation of a series led to eroding returns. MK3 received mixed reviews, described by many as a repetitive and uninspired sequel too far removed from 1 & 2. The introduction of early digital effects in MK4 only made matters worse as Hollywood action began to drastically transform. An infamous string of new cuts to MK3 built on the entrenchment of the home video market, but the series was destined for hiatus.
The 10th anniversary of MK would see the series undergo a radical reinvention. Daring to continue the story, it was a watershed moment, built largely on the partnership of Cage and new collaborator, Mokap. The Chicago personality brought new life to the project in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, but as the call for more sequels continued, the Cage/Mokap relationship began to break down. Eventually, the two entered bitter legal proceedings as Cage and his production neared bankruptcy, and Mokap claimed ownership of the ideas that reinvented the brand. The winner of this gruelling battle would determine supremacy over the franchise, but the true decision and continued success of either Cage or Mokap would rest in the court of public opinion. But I do like Mokap too.
Do you guys know the history behind this guy? He's freaking Carlos Pesina in the "flesh" for crying out loud, the guy that practices over 20 martial arts fighting styles and motion captures most, if not all, of the characters movesets in the 3D era of MK. He also made Raiden look fucking awesome in the mk1-mkT days (THE HAT WAS DESTROYED....NOOOOOOOO).
And get this, his brother, Daniel Pesina, played Johnny Cage in MK1-2, but the idiot was fired for promoting a rival fighting game using his MK2 Johnny sprites. What a fucking moron lol.
So here's to Carlos Pesina, Mr. Old School Raiden, Mokap, the freaking future of MK. Love you Carlos...you stuck by MK unlike your evil brother
Mokap

Yeah, we all know this stuff...but that doesn't mean he needed to be a playable character in the games. (Or rather, he didn't need to be TWO playable characters. Carlos was already Raiden, he didn't need a second identity)
I mean, do you know what Mokap's storyline is? "I'm just a guy who works on Johnny Cage's movies." He doesn't have anything to do with realms or saving the world or any of that stuff. And he and Blaze didn't even have a Fatality or alt costume or weapon style. So he's not even complete.
He's just...like, if he had been created for MK9 instead of for Deadly Alliance, he'd just be an opponent you'd fight in one of the Challenge Tower's joke missions like The Director or Stuntman. And that'd be fine, nobody would be mad at that. But as a playable character, he's just using up a slot that could've gone to someone "real", like...I dunno, Sektor, Noob, or Sareena, who all got booted down to being in the Gameboy version of DA instead of on the consoles.
SN: Most actors did have multiple identities back in the day . To name a few:
Ho Sung Pak - Lui KangMK1; Shang SungMK1(DONT QUOTE ME)
Richard Divizio - KanoMK1&3; KabalMK3; Barack ObomaMK2; Shang SungMKM lol
Sal Divita - ScorpionMKM; MK2ninjas Cyber ninjas(I remember the sweaty face statement lol)
John Turk - Bi-HanMKM; MK3-MKTninjas
Need I keep going?
