Though it's not because he is that good - it's more like Shujinko is that bad.

I'll go with Shujinko this time. Not that I don't like Scorpion, and they are both idiots. But Scorpion just isn't that interesting anymore Shujinko could still be something. Heck, when put beside Kratos’s angry little Yellow brother there Shujinko looks a hell of a lot better.
(Stop being stupid Onaga of course they won't do anything interesting with him or any character because this is a fighting game not an RPG)

Shujinko's voice actor(s) were SO bad in Deception I almost starting playing it on mute. He was SUCH an idiot too. I will never get over how stupid he was in story mode. Scorpion's turds would have been more bearable to play through story mode with.

it is true scorpion has had the same story since 1992. so its expected for people to get bored lol its been 20 years how can scorpion still be mad. i think he needs a new story line. i mean a new chapter for him.

shujinko on the other hand left mortal kombat and became a member of call of duty black ops 2. he begged for kenshi to follow him in the year 2025. and kenshi relized he had no choice so he left and joined bo2. shujinko is on the team death match kill card. and with kenshis great power in awareness, he was put on the awareness kill card. true story lol.

actually shujinko was never much of a character and he shape shifted in the story mode. overall he wasnt much of anything. but who knows the alteration of mk9 could change him. i vote scorpion

His story is not necessarily revolved around his hatred for Sub-Zero, but revenge in general.

Every so often, he finds someone to claim revenge against. First, it was sub-Zero, then it was Quan Chi, and then it was the Elder Gods. With the new timeline in place, he exacted his revenge against Sub-Zero and is now a mere lapdog for Quan Chi. Most likely, he will learn the truth of Quan Chi's actions in the next game, and his thirst for revenge will return.

For 20 years, Scorpion's story has been nothing but revenge plots. Yeah, he's gotten boring. lol

Yea, Scorpion's story since MK4 has basically been general vengeance (mostly against Quan Chi) but that doesn't make it any less boring.

Except in MK2.

And MK3.

And Deception.

I feel bad about it, but my vote goes to 'jinko. Though it says not to specifically vote against anybody, I'm going to go with my style during last year and just kill off the uninteresting palette swaps.

And, I actually like Shujinko a bit.

Tired of Scorpion, going with Shujinko on this one

I absolutely positively despise Shujinko. He was never interesting, good to play for me, all he was to me was just a character thought up at the last minute to replace Liu, and THAT DIDN'T EVEN LAST LONG! His fatalities were hardly memorable, I hated that he barely had a move set of his own original moves, his appearance was hardly worthy enough to remember. The only thing I enjoyed was getting this guy knocked out by some NPC.

With Scorpion... He's not my favorite either, but at least I enjoy him a lot more than Shujinko.

Scorpion. Some of these are really bad matchups lol I hope Kabal and Johnny Cage don't get shafted
