Kano is definitely in. If Khameleon is in, than Chameleon should be in too, and if Havik is in, than of course Hotaru would be in, too.

Damn. Mavado is my favorite 3D era character, but Kano has really impressed me in MKX. But, even with Mavado's potential, it doesn't match Kano's multiple appearances.

Kano is my main character and has been since the SNES days.

But I love Mavado. I love his look. I love his claws. There's so much potential for him to be something awesome. I'm sad we'll probably never see him again.

I like Kano a lot. I dig that he's an Earthrealm turncoat and I love his description from his MK1 bio. Something like "mercenary thug extortionist thief" or something along those lines. He's a great lowlife who's really good at getting out of trouble just as much as he causes it.

Honestly, I think his last two appearances have been among his best. His gameplay is fun as hell in both titles, his look is pretty awesome... I'd say he's a rather underrated character by simple virtue of how much we see him. He kinda gets lumped in to that group of "old characters we don't want to see anymore" by a lot of fans.

While I think that he could stand to take a game off, I still think he's a great character, a cool character, and one that should have a role in MK long term.

That said, I still went with Mavado. I'm sorry, but whatever you feel about your favorite character, they're not nearly as wronged by the dev team as this character's been.

Dude looks awesome in MKDA. He's got a cool background, and then they went and screwed him by 1. Giving him only two special moves, one of which is a freakin dodge move and 2. Giving him Kabal's hook swords, which immediately made 80% of the fanbase despise him.

So now, NRS seems to have interpreted all of that as "well, the fanbase hates him, so he wasn't a good idea/design." No. That's not it. He's a great design. Just give him some gameplay that doesn't suck and take away the hook swords.

Those pully rope... Things could make for a ridiculously fun character on a 2D plane. He could be the Omega Red of the MK universe, only he's also a bad ass looking "mercenary thug extortionist thief." The guy's potential is off the charts. He deserves much better than a few pages and getting axed in the comic.

Hopefully they'll see that one day, though I'm guessing they won't. It's a shame too. He could've been a really cool rival for a lot of characters in the MK universe.

I really like Mavado and want to see him return in a new MK game. Disappointed to hear of his fate in the comics.

I voted for Kano regardless, he's an overall better character and more relevant to MKX. But I like Mavado.

This! All of this! I wish NRS would see how amazing Mavado can be. I'm glad to see he's gaining traction with people on here. He's always been a favorite of mine.
