When they announced an event called Great Balls of Fire I thought they should really find a place on the card for Goldust. I didn't dare think it would be a return to the 'Dust of old! Hope this can catapult into a great run! Overdue!

Absolutely! Goldust's resurgence over the last few years has been one of the low key best stories out there. I'd love to see him go from tag team bit player back to the IC title scene. Hell, if things go really well, he could be a fresh threat to a Roman Reigns title reign(s) down the line. Presumptuous? Sure. But a man can dream.

In other glorious news: Jinder Mahal is going to defend the title in a Punjabi Prison match.

I never imagined I could enjoy Jinder Mahal as champ as much as I am. Great look, great presentation. I love the rug in the ring! The entrance is cool (maybe skip the darkness at the start). The turban and suits look great. I thought I liked him when he looked pissed off non-stop for a few weeks, and now I'm liking him yucking it up being a complete arse. Super solid heel champ!
A lot of good stuff going on the last month.
Then, now, forever?

Seriously. Every time you think relief is coming, it just keeps going. Ughhhh.

Well, due to a viral infection that seems to be ravaging the raw locker room, the TLC ppv has taken on a MUCH different face. Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns have both been pulled from TLC. Sadly I can’t help but to breath a slight sigh of relief when it comes to Bray being taken off the card. Hopefully he’ll be out a couple weeks and we can avoid jumping the fucking shark a little longer.
With those two big pieces of the puzzle out, WWE has made a couple, dare I say, awesome steps to make this ppv not suck. First, AJ Styles is set to replace Bray Wyatt when he faces Finn Balor in a battle of the ex Bullet Club generals. Next...and this one is pretty damn huge, Kurt Angle will team up with two thirds of the shield to face “The big red monster among miz walks into a bar”...ahem, Miz, Kane, Strowman, Cesaro, and Sheamus.
Well...yesterday this card was a firm pass for me. Tomorrow, I may re-up my network subscription.

Talk about a blessing in disguise!
I'm of two-minds about hotshotting AJ Styles into an inter-brand match, but anything is better than Balor/Wyatt again! I'm guessing hocus pocus will result in a non-finish. Keeps balls in the air and smooths things over without beating anybody.
I don't love Kurt Angle coming out of retirement this abruptly, but I'm wondering if it's back-end logic. Would make sense for The Shield to lose to build to a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match. Maybe Angle was always part of that end game? Makes sense to bring one of those guys forward, if it is.
Should be interesting to see how it goes.

Angle in the Shield gear is almost worth it.

I was so mad we didn't get to see him come out in his Team Angle singlet with theme and pyro. Instead we got make-a-wish Roman

Probably saving it for a proper, bona fide appearance at Survivor Series.

- Chris Jericho to face Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12
For as wild of a year as 2017 has been for pro wrestling, next year already appears to be following suit.
In a shocker, Chris Jericho will be wrestling Kenny Omega at the Tokyo Dome for New Japan Pro Wrestling on January 4th, 2018. Omega retained his IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against Trent Barreta at today's Power Struggle show and called out his next challenger after. It was teased that no one was left to challenge him, but Jericho then appeared in a video.
In case you somehow missed it. Nice YouTube version here!

Just a heads up for any MKOers in Ottawa, TNA will straight-up pay you to attend their shows.

Must make the talent/production team that barely get paid on time SUPER happy to hear.

To be fair, I wouldn't knock myself out paying TNA's talent and crew either.

Man, 2017 in general is a weird year, but in wrestling this is absolutely bonkers.
The continual downfall of TNA is sad, and i really do wish the company was doing better. I heard Bound for Glory was kind of awful, which is a shame.
On WWE's side, I'm looking forward to seeing Survivor Series and War Games this month, and I'm also ready to watch SmackDown again after what happened Tuesday
The Dome show is looking like it's gonna be insane too. Did NOT see Jericho actually showing up. No idea who this Switchblade guy is either, but I'm excited to see if he can hang with Tanahashi.
Lucha Underground also got renewed for another season, and that is my jam so I'm super excited for that.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Y'know, with AJ getting the title off of Jinder

Nah, what happened to Jinder was a travesty and Smackdown is officially [removed] until he reclaims the throne. Edit: C'mon Mick, you know better.
Mick: Next stop Bansville.
Snarkier edit: I'm sure the half-dozen people who drop in every three months will miss me.

Hard to dispute, but it's not many people out there willing to put their best foot forward for a check that they know may not be there.

A decade ago (or hell, even 5-6 years ago) I would have agreed completely. But now? In 2017, anyone, in any capacity, signing on the dotted line with a company that changes names and stations almost as frequently as it does management, should know what they're in for.

Haha, once again, hard to dispute.
