Three members of the WWE roster have been slapped with 30 day suspensions for violations of the wellness policy(as Brock Lesnar continues his march towards Summerslam). Alberto Del Rio, Paige, and in her latest attempt at pushing her debut back, Eva Marie are the latest Superstars to be hit with the penalty.

Not necessarily as high profile as Roman Reigns, but still a pretty bad considering how thin the roster is spread already. Paige is the one I'm most bummed about. If you believe the rumors, the lady is said to be having some problems as of late, including back issues. It's too bad that she's been left by the wayside as the "diva's revolution" continues along.

ADR is said to be nearing the end of his contract, and reportedly hasn't been happy since returning. Not necessarily my favorite, but he's a solid hand and one of the last few true heels out there.

Eva Marie...damn it Paige, GET BETTER SOON!

Paige is or was going to be one of the next contenders for the Womens Championship, she's only not in contention now because of
A: her supposed injury and
B: because she had been a big part of every Womens championship feud since she won it against AJ Lee and up until they decided to let Charlotte feud with the other debutants.

They were just giving her a cooloff period before she was pushed again, so I am most dissapointed that she may be gathering some backstage heat these days.

Eva Marie is another dissapointment, I think she has alot to give to the show in spite of the hate she gets...infact, because of he hate she gets. Vince may be telling people to say she's working hard to train at the Performance Center, but if she really is working hard then I like her. The gimmick they have been giving her since her latest stint in NXT works perfectly with how the audience already seem to feel about her, its gold.

RDR? I don't really care, he's beein stale as shit since he returned without the Cars and Rodriguez, he's talented in the ring but I'm just not interested in anything he does....easily been bunnyhopped by many other talented people on the roster and not really fitting of any championships, hope he leaves.

The roster is now thinned yes...so who do you think the WWE should try and bring in to fill that roster? Joe and Nakamura are the current only two big stars in NXT, I don't want to see them leave for the main roster just yet, maybe a few months until Joe turns up I hope...once Itami, Roode or (Please please please) Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger become big enough stars to take on these top roles.
Bring back Johnny Nitro, Drew McCintyre and go back in time and not fire Sandow!

Great suggestions. Mending the broken bridge with Cody Rhodes would be another good start.

- Gallows & Anderson [Tag Champs]
- Enzo & Cass
- The Miz [Intercontinental Champ]
- Natalya, Alexa Bliss & TBA

Not a lot of confident picks. I dunno if it's the split, or just being busy, but my buzz is killed!

I like seeing Roman Reigns in the US title picture, though. That should've been his first stop all along. Kinda wanna see Rusev win, but you can't keep beating Reigns forever.

He's got a lot of reason to be unhappy. Was really hoping the brand split might recharge his position, possibly get him back into a hotter title picture. Disappointing.

Harry Fujiwara, known to the wrestling world as, "Mr Fuji", died today at the age of 82. The hall of famer managed some of the best heel acts of the 80's and early 90's including Demolition and Yokozuna.

Rest in Peace.

Only Triple H has the awesome cosmic power to swerve the entire universe! Triple H > Fate!

I kinda like that they ploughed right through to having a title match on RAW. That had a nice peak era feel to it. As eyerolling as it was to have Triple H determine the result, at least we can see them back building toward something. Hopefully Owens finds himself somewhere interesting, too.

RIP Mr. Fuji. sad

Kind of amazing to be looking at AJ Styles as WWE Champion, but it only happened when there was half a promotion, and that's always going to take the sting out of it.

He's on a brand where Heath Slater has a title now, too. Heinous!

He won the WWE Championship on a split brand yeah, but the champions on the other brand have been Fergal Devitt and Kevin Steen. So to me, there is nothing taken from this title win. The WWE is truly getting behind talent that proved themselves in the indies as top stars, so if Owens and Balor can win the title, AJ would've done so as well.
Hell he's beaten John Cena clean on PPV. That's just as big a deal, really.

The Cena matches definitely felt significantly more important. It's all a net positive for Styles at the end of the day. It's even a little extra special that he gets to be part of the WWE title lineage, too.

The audience has no reason to ignore the harsh reality of the situation, though. The wind is out of the sails. It was during the last brand split, and right now it feels like we're on par with some of the leanest of those years!

Here's hoping they can build a stronger title with Styles.

agreed on all fronts
So, a month or so removed from the draft, what are you guys thinking about it?

I think it made the product more interesting, honestly. I like that it gives you a "team" to root for and that they are (at least for now) treating it like this is real competition. Personally, i think Smackdown has been the stronger show since the draft, with AJ being on fire since SummerSlam and the Smackdown tag team division being able to stand on it's own without the most charismatic teams like New Day and Enzo & Cass. I'm also digging the women's division over there, with Naomi and Alexa Bliss standing out the most for me.

I haven't watched as much of RAW because, quite honestly, Stephanie McMahon just bothers me too much to watch, and a lot of the people on RAW (save Owens and Rusev) have just gotten stale for me. They keep breathing life into it to make me want to watch, like Bayley moving up there and the addition of my boys TJP and THE Brian Kendrick. But the three hours just drain me and it's hard to be optimistic about it.

well i've never been a pro-extension guy, so it's been kinda meh to me. the roster size just didn't warrant it to me at least, and since the draft, with the losses of a few superstars it's kinda hurting for fresh feuds now, at least imo. let's see how it goes over a year from now, if it keeps up that long, and see. some faces are coming back from suspensions, inuries, etc. and some are slated to debut soon like Curt Hawkins and Shelton Benjamin, so maybe that'll liven things up a bit.

and i'm sure everyone's aware of TNA's problems, what's ya'll's take on this? Me thinks ole Vinnie Mac will buy em and put em out of their misery, or maybe Billy Corgan pulls off a coup and saves the day
It's a sad day for me, because looking back i was one of the biggest defenders of TNA up until Hogan showed up in 2010.

I'm subscribed to Wrestling Observer, and it's basically a done deal that WWE has bought TNA's library. Weather or not that spells the end of the company is anyone's guess. But, i think them going under is a real blow to the industry, just like any company going under. It definitely won't have the same effect as WCW going out of business, but it will definitely hurt the industry.

The only bright side is that, if they did just get the library, there's still a chance that Billy Corrigan could potentially buy the company and re-brand. It's not like WWE acknowledges TNA as competition anyway, so i don't see them absorbing the company as a whole.

All the rumors so far suggest that is indeed the case. Best thing that could happen honestly. WWE gets more content for the network, more complete stories of Sting, Nash, Aj Styles, Samoa Joe, etc. can be told(though I think Sting's legacy would probably be better off without it), and the TNA brand can go die in a fire.

All that, and Corgan's new vision for the company can be realized.

apparently the latest is that they could file for Chapter 11 and then WWE could scoop in and get what's left, or it TNA could just cease

Shout out to the amazing episode of Smackdown Live last night. Alexa Bliss is a damned savage and I love how that feud is progressing.

My absolute favorite part, was the ending to the Styles/Ambrose match. Damn near Shakespearian in it's execution. Styles torments Ellsworth the whole match. Ellsworth finally has enough, the crowd gets behind him, the kick...and the amazing reactions by everyone after it all went down. Ellsworth's remorse, Dean's anger, Chioda's "wtf did you just do?", and Styles patented shit eating grin. Ahhhh. That was the first time in a long time I watched an angle go down and thought to myself " wow, that was really well done". Kudos to all involved.

James Ellsworth needs to be signed to a full-time deal.

Imagine if he got over enough and eventually won a title. Imagine the pop the crowd would give.
It might ruin a title, but it would be fucking worth it.

Once this high level storyline has run its course, they could probably get some serious mileage out of him by resurrecting the Light Heavyweight title on Smackdown. Have him bumble his way toward Gillberg's record. Maybe even bring Gill back for a "big" match. Hell, if it starts to get on the nose just do what they did with Gill and pad the reign out with a prolonged absence! They could even introduce a 24/7 rule at some point, to freshen it up.

Could be a lot of fun, and it wouldn't have to dilute the more credible face of the Cruiserweight title.
