Orton's been doing the wacky shtick for a while now, pretty weird. Probably trying to be more of a Cena-style-babyface.

soooo has Punk been resigned? I can see why they would talk about the Comic-Con thing to make it seem more real but they are even giving him air-time. Even it is very little, he is still getting it.

ugh

Cena's not a bad wrestler, I'm just so sick of him being in the World title scene. I'm pretty sure that besides tonight's Mysterio/Miz title match, the Miz/King title feud and Sheamus/Ryder squash match last summer, Orton and Cena have been in every WWE title match in the last two or three years.

Seriously, fuck! Glad Mysterio got the short title reign.

If they want to keep Rey on the roster, I don't think this is the way to do it. Really disrespectful. Even if you don't like Mysterio, he deserves better than that.

Also, Punk has apparently been resigned to a contract. I'm still hesitant to believe it's a longterm one (my nightmare situation is that he loses to Cena and Summerslam to "unite" the titles and is gone). However, post-RAW he cut a promo to the live crowd saying he was back for good, and Smackdown spoilers
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Triple H says he has signed CM Punk to a contract

I don't think it's disrespectful of Rey. The guy can say he's a former WWE champion now. The only problem I have with this is that at the end of the day Cena is champion again. At least save it for next week or something

I just find it disrespectful to anyone to give them a title reign less than a week, let alone less than a full show. Sure Rey has had longer runs before, but I really think the entire tournament was pointless since at the end Cena was superman on top again.

Anyhow, it looks like Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero will soon be WWE employees, even bypassing FCW unlike Tyler Black. Now if WWE resigns Colt Cabana, they're really moving in the right direction while all other promotions are taking a step back. This is a pretty serious blow to ROH having a chance to compete with TNA for the #2 slot, though TNA never does anything to help themselves ROH is losing in my opinion two of it's biggest stars (I consider Hero the most notable/best guy in ROH).

It's not disrespectful, especially to someone who has already been world champion twice and has already done everything there is to do in the business.
I know it's really hard to understand, but wrestlers are not marks at all, especially veterans like Mysterio. At the end of the day it's just an angle like any other, and I'm sure Rey's just happy and honored that he held the belt for a while.

i was like yes rey is champion. then cena wins and i'm like this is garbage. it was colol to see the fans cheer for cm punk when he put up his belt when compared to cena raising his belt.

anyone enjoying tna's bound for glory point systom. i actually am enjoying it. hope rvd goes to bound for glory and becomes champion again.

If the Smackdown spoilers are correct, John Morrison lost to Christian which is surprising and ironic since Christian has been jobbing to the same guy like four times already.

So much for the youth movement, WWE. You're doing a helluva lot of work on pushing established veterans, though.

Morrison is missing an element.... sort of like Colourful Sting before he returned as a dark enemy to the NWO.
He needs to loose his babyface image and become Heel....if he was given the storyline R-truth just attempted and faild I think he could have made it work alot better.

Agreed. Maybe I'd feel a little different if he were a heel(he works better as a heel), but as of right now, his mic work is bad, his in ring work(outside of spot fests which he excels) varies...I just don't think he's consistently good enough to be main eventing right now.

Morrison doesn't rely on spots to have a good match. He has had a big amount of above average to match of the year potential matches that didn't have any of 'em. Sure, he puts on the ocassional spot in high profile matches but even there he does a minimal amount anyways.

What a brutally ignorant thing to say.

First of all, Christian is the World heavyweight Champion. If he'd lose to John fucking Morrison, a pure midcarder (at this moment), things would be very wrong. The World Champion is the best of his brand, therefore he should be able to defeat a guy who's biggest achievement so far is the Intercontinental title.

The WWE has been doing a fantastic job with the Youth Movement. What ''veterans'' are they pushing? Look at WWE's champions and contenders right now: John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Ezekiel Jackson, David Otunga, Joe Hennig, Miz, Christian. Even Christian isn't that old, and he's the only veteran getting pushed right now anyway.
Triple H is an authority figure, Undertaker is almost always off-screen, Booker T's on commentary...

Shows like NXT and Tough Enough have been all about creating young new stars.
Look at this year's Wrestlemania main events: Cena vs. Miz, Edge vs. Alberto del Rio. Is that "pushing the veterans"?

You could be describing TNA though, since they're constantly putting the World title on Sting, a 52 year old veteran, and focus their shows on Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

What?!

That's the sole purpose of the youth movement! To build up young midcarders and make them seen like a viable threat to main eventers regardless of their position in the company!

The World Champion is the best of his brand, therefore he should be able to defeat a guy who's biggest achievement so far is the Intercontinental title.

Having a kayfabe championship on your waist doesn't make you better or more talented that anyone by any means. You're basically telling me that Orton, while holding the belt, was better than Daniel Bryan?

John Cena, CM Punk and Randy Orton are established main eventers FYI.
Daniel Bryan winning MITB doesn't equal a push for him. His chances of actually cashing in are slim because WWE haven't done any kind of effort to build him up in the first place and that's the same shit that happened to Swagger. Dolph Ziggler already got his push. He's a former World Heavyweight Champion( ten minutes, yay!) and has been downgraded to the midcard since. McGillitunga are champions solely because WWE doesn't care about the the Tag Team Division as it's pretty much dead and show no signs of getting pushed any further. Ezekiel Jackson got pushed for flexing his arms and doing basic moves like bodyslams that require little to no wrestling ability whatsoever, which is what McMahon seeks in a wrestler. Christian has been with the company for 17 years so I don't know why the fuck would he be part of The Youth Movement. The only one I can agree with is The Miz. Just because they're putting the belts on untalented hacks like Jackson and Otunga or giving half-assed pushes doesn't mean it's a fantastic job.
