What the hell does the One Night Stand ppv has to do with being one night stand? WWE TItle on the line, Cena vs Khali. World title, Edge vs Batista. Lashley has a title shot agaisnt...Vince McMahon. None of them are ECW originals. It has NOTHING to do with being the ECW One Night Stand. It should just be called Bad Blood or something.

The only similarity is all matches are contested under "Extreme Rules", even though that's bullshit! God I miss the old ECW.

I dont give a shit about the old ECW but this is a travesty none the less. Where are the reunion matches? Where's the match where ECW fans can go berserk on the WWE babyfaces and support the ECW heels? Where's TAKA, Tajiri, Benoit vs Malenko? ANY ECW STARS AT ALL? The three main events are made and not one of them feature a TRUE ECW star. One Night Stand indeed.

As for Batista, I like him. I think he suits his role perfectly and is an excellent big man lead babyface. I have no problems with him being a top dog or champion, and truth be told I cant see too many people fit to challenge Edge right now. Seeing Benoit feud with Edge over the world title would be fantastic, but I dont want to see that so soon because it would be too obvious that Benoit would lose. Kane and Matt Hardy are the only two guys who can feud Edge, and they've already done that recently so there's not that much interest in seeing those too soon. I'm sure Kennedy will feud Edge as soon as he comes back though.

His last run as a legit contender was agaisnt... Benoit? 2004? Kane deserves a decent world title run, I dont get why they wont give it to him. He's over, he's made in WWE, he's a walking gimmick, he's merchandise, he's a big guy, he had his movie... it just dont add up.

well, looks like edge may have more competition coming his way. the next three hour raw special which takes place in the early half of june, will be a special draft edition. shaking up the rosters at this point is very smart due to all the injuries as of late.

and i'm in agreement with the rest of the crowd. one night stand is turning into a sham pure and simple. i knew as soon as i saw the wwe logo over the one night stand poster that there was trouble brewing. i guess the whole idea of bringing in originals for reuninion matches has been scrapped. this just re-enforces the fact that ecw is dead and mcmahon at this point is just pissing on the grave.
