TNA's got good talent yes, they just don't know how to utilize them. Their own homegrown talent gets pushed aside in favor of the WWE guys, which, are now, imo, getting old. I want to see Samoa Joe and AJ Styles shine, and I want TNA to succeed, they just need to stop bringing in guys from the WWE!
If you start watching ROH, you'll start learning where the REAL talent is. When I saw your pic for best wrestler ''Batista'' and best match the tag team ladder match, I just rolled my eyes, brother. Bryan Danielson is out there busting his ass on every single ROH show there is to put on the best match possible (and most best matches of the year were Danielson matches, no doupt about it) wether it's a more british style match with Nigel McGuiness or stiff japanese strong style with KENTA, Danielson gave his all and came out looking like the best champ ever. He was defenetely ROH's 2006 MVP and 2006's worker of the year. Batista sweats like a hog three minutes into a match, doing nothing but clotheslines, shoulder tackles and the occasional regular back bump. Danielson can go forty minutes, easy, taking dragon suplexes, superplexes, getting stretched and stiff kicked all over his body. He's the man.

i happened to like wcw the best (sorry to interupt whats going on now.) and whoever said that wrestling wouldnt have been the same without it, there right. look at what they brought to the table, great matches (thundercage, tri-cage, ect.) great wrestlers that werent up to WWE's "standerds" (KroniK, sting, Rick Steiner, Medusa, the list goes on and on) and way, WAY, WAAAAAYYYYY better story lines than WWE ever had. if it werent for the cruserweight division there would be no Rey Mysterio, if not for the NWO, there would be no DX. No Thundercage, No Hell in a cell.
thats why i am actually floating more twords TNA, cause their the last shard of WCW thats ever gonna be there. Its sad the way it ended but nobody can deny the succsess and unqueness that wcw brought to the wrestling world. the end of an era
RIP-1988-2001
P.S. will the new TNA game be out on the PS2

Woah wait, someone picked Batista for Wrestler of the year! When I watch a Batista match this is me (
). Its soo boring. I would normally say Danielson as the best of the year but I'm more of a McGuinness fan myself. He should have beaten Danielson in Liverpool back in August but thats a different story.

OK, OK, I'll do my best to see some ROH, once I do, then I'll let you know what I think. And I know about Danielson from magazines and from what I've read, I am impressed with him, so I can't wait to actually see some of his matches. It's just so damn hard to get anything like that in Canada, unless I get it imported from the States, and that costs more than I'm willing to pay, but, like I said, the Fight Network in Canada plays some ROH (old stuff), and also, some NOAH from Japan now.
gnrlies1992, no, unfortunately, the TNA game will only be Next Gen. Why, I have no idea, but it likely won't even be on the PSP, so there goes any chance of me ever playing it, cause I ain't puttin' $700 on a new machine I don't even want, for one game, no matter how cool it looks, and man it looks cool, from the 15 second trailor shown.

I dont get that. Is WWE better than ROH, or worse than ROH? Or is WWE turning into ROH or...something? I dunno, please explain again.
And brother, it would be even harder to get ROH and indies for PORTUGAL... but I get them all from pwt, the pro wrestling torrents. You should sign up once they make it available again.

I like WWE, TNA, RoH, CZW, EWE (
), etc... for me, no one is better than other, one complement other one. I know that I'm "special" because probably I'm the only RoH fan that is also a John Cena fan, but whatever... lol

Any of you ROH guys know some really good Delirious matches? I only saw his match against Seth Delay and it was really cool. I'm thinking about buying a Delirious shirt but I dont know if he's that good that i would want to wear it.

ROH is maybe a small budget wrestling promotion company but is certainly the best one......
what I meant with WWE ---> ROH ---> TNA is that I still prefer watching WWE over ROH and then TNA..............

Whoa, someone mentioned Kronik, lol. Pump handle masters!! Oh, and if you peeps ever get a chance to watch medusa drive her monster truck, do so. She's really good, I was like holly shit!! Hhaha. You can catch her in the US on speed vision.
Delirious has a great character, but I'm not the biggest fan of his in ring work, in terms of actual wrestling. Though I haven't seen a boat load of it. He does GREAT comedy matches. I know many peeps are against comedy matches, but meh. He did one with Jack Evans a while back, along with Cabana Was pretty entertaining. Just youtube it. Check ROH's website, too. They post delirious stuff often.
Damn, this thread got a bit heated, lol. Good thing I was moving. Oh, and 10000 is going to rock!
Long live Chikara!!!

Delirious is da shit! His matches in IWA-MS against Matt Sydal are sick! Please TNA, Delirious and/or Matt Sydal to be one of the next X-Division Champs in 2007!!!
Actually I like Delirious' in ring work alot more than his actual character.
And oh brothers, last night was the TNA show here in Portugal. As I said before, I didn't participate in it since I turned down the APW contract, and man am I glad I did that! The portuguese match (a gauntlet) was an absolutely ridiculous display, and the rest of the show with the TNA guys was VERY entertaining, especially for us!
Basically, we were in the front row and interacted with the wrestlers in nearly every match. It was kickass.
The show opened up with Jerry Lynn taking on Brother Runt, and we got off on a good start, as when Brother Runt was coming in and high fiving everyone, Iceborg stuck out his hand to get the high five, and when Runt was going to give him his hand, Iceborg pushed his hand away. That got Runt so pissed off he actually took off his sun glasses and tossed them right at us.
Loads of ECW chants for Lynn, and a quick match took place with Spike picking up the win with the Dudley Dog.
I'm not sure about the order of the matches from this point on.
Johnny Storm, Spud, PAC and Jody Fleisch came out for a 1PW X Division fatal four way match, but before the match got underway, Chris Daniels came out and said that his name was no longer in the vote booth to wrestle Kurt Angle in the main event, and since Jeff Jarret didn't show up, he decided he would put his X division title on the line agaisnt the winner of the fatal four way. It was an entertaining spot fest, which saw my favorite Johnny Storm pick up the win.
Up next, the tag team match...
VKM versus Team 3D was totally awesome. Before the match, Jesse James cut a cheap anti-portugal promo, which he started by going ''Madrid, Spain...!'' then Billy Gunn went over to him and whispered in his ear that they were actually in Portugal, and Jesse corrected himself. Anyways...
Not that the match itself was good, but we interacted so much that the only way we could've interacted more was if we had stepped inside the ring. When all four guys were in the ring, before the match started, we started chanting ''STEROIDS'' at Billy Gunn. He looked at us, like ''who!? me?'' and then pointed at the Dudleyz as if to say ''they're the ones on steroids''.
A little bit more into the match we started chanting ''ROCKABILLY'' (Kip James' old gimmick) and he always looked at us. At one point, he actually got the microphone, looked at us and said ''stop calling me that or I'm getting my ass out of this arena''. Naturally we started chanting even louder, and Bubba Ray must've liked it because he actually got out of the ring, over the barriers, and standing right in front of us he put the microphone to our mouths and said ''call him rockabilly''. We called him rockabilly over the microphone, and he and Jesse James started walking away from the ring. Team 3D rushed to them and started brawling with them around the arena.
Eventually, D-Von was slamming Jesse James all over the place, basically making sure everyone in the crowd would get to see them up close. When he reached us, me and Iceborg picked up Cougar (a really small wrestler who was watching the show with us) and pointed his feet towards Jesse James. D-Von asked us ''right there?'' we said ''yeah'' and he slammed James' head agaisnt Cougar's feet. Now that's just awesome.
Towards the end, VKM tried to take a page out of the Dudleyz book by getting a ''table'' from under the ring. It was a really cheap one though, and we started an ''IKEA'' chant.
Eventually the Dudleyz won via botched 3D through the table, and after the match they gave Spud a 3D aswell, since he had come out to interfere on behalf of VKM.
In the end, Bubba Ray and D-Von decided to give the wood of the broken ''table'' to a fan. They asked ''who wants the table?'', got the various crowd reactions, and brought a tiny little kid with glasses into the ring. He asked him what his name was, the kid said ''Jorge'' and Bubba said ''Jorge?'' So we started loud JORGE chants, lol, and Bubba Ray got behind us and eventually the whole arena was cheering for this kid. As Bubba was about to give him the wood, he noticed the kid had John Cena chain gang collar. He took it off, gave him the table and sent him off, with the Cena toy remaining in the ring. The Dudleyz celebrated in the ring, and when they were about to leave they just tossed the John Cena toy randomly into the crowd, lol. The kid did get his toy back though, he went over to the people who picked it up and got it back. Cena still sucks, though.
Chris Daniels vs Jody Fleisch was a pretty darn good match, but it really annoyed us that Daniels never interacted with us! We chanted everything, from fallen angel to Curry Man, and we showed him a CURRY MAN sign over and over again and he would never even acknowledge us. That got us pissed off because usually Daniels will do anything you chant him to do at ROH events! Daniels retained the X division title via BME in a balanced, babyface vs babyface match. In the end, it seemed Daniels was going to ignore us again, but he finally acknowledged the curry man sign and did a very quick curry man dance while on the apron.
Christian Cage vs Abyss ROCKED. The match wasn't all that great in itself, but it had amazing false finishes, and it was Christian, who I'm a total mark for. It was the only match in all the three wrestling events I've attended (two smackdown!s and this TNA one) that I was actually marking out for. It was for the NWA title, so I knew Christian wouldn't win, but damn they sure fooled me. The best part was the initial promo of course. Christian got a HUGE babyface reaction, lots of CHRISTIAN chants. So he knew he had to turn things around since he was supposed to work heel. He took the microphone and started off as a babyface ''LISBON PORTUGAL...! You know when I was told I'd be coming to Portugal for the VERY FIRST TIME EVER, I was very excited because I was told Portugal has alot of beautiful women and it's where all the beautiful people are...'' we could tell where he was going, so we did a small ''DONT TURN HEEL'' chant, but it didnt last long. ''But now I look around...and I see that the beautiful people cant be in Lisbon Portugal. Maybe in Madrid, Spain... but not here. So you can all stick your Cristiano Ronaldo and your Ole Oles up your ass!'' We kept chanting ''CHRISTIAN'' but the boos overwhelmed us.
Abyss is such crap. He never interacts with the crowd, he only does the most standard basic moves, and doesn't really have anything going for him. He's slow, he's not particularly powerful, he's not agile, he doesn't have incredible power moves... pretty shitty.
Bammer, one of the other wrestlers who was watching the show with us, was attending the show with a captain charisma t-shirt and had a ''#1 PEEP'' sign with him, pointing down so it would point to him when he would raise it. Christian saw it and asked him to give him the sign, during the match. Bammer shook Christian's hand first, which saw Christian break character for a second with a small grin, and then took his sign. He brought the sign into the ring, and lifted it, so it said ''#1 PEEP'' pointing at himself, haha. Pretty smart of him. But, that idiot Abyss came up behind him, took the sign, ripped it apart even though it was made by a fan, and took Christian down. What a moron. He should've just given the sign back, because that was pretty much a heel turn as far as wrestling psychology goes.
After loads of kickass false finishes, Abyss wins via black hole slam.
Intermission time, and then it was the Portuguese Gauntlet. What a fucking.... jesus christ this match was so retarded I dont even know where to begin. I wont describe all the b ad things about it because then my post would become twice as huge, but I'll tell you this: The last three men in the gauntlet were all HEELS. One of the most basic things in wrestling and they cant get it right. I'm so glad I turned down the contract. Mad Dog won the gauntlet, winning the Portuguese title from Arte Gore. WHO GIVES A SHIT? Even one of the ringside security guys who didn't seem to know much about wrestling completely trashed the portuguese match, saying it wouldn't even work as a display of clowns in a circus. He was so right.
Now... the knockouts match! Let me tell you guys something, Gail Kim is even hotter in real life than she is on tv. I marked out for her since she's my favorite female wrestler, and told her I loved her during her entrance. She looked at me and said something but I couldnt tell. It was ''tough'' or something, since she was working heel. Christy Hemme won the match with some stupid move. I dont even remember. But thankfully that wasn't the last I saw of Kim... Read on if you want to know the juicy details, link to a pic included
Then it was time for Rhino vs AJ. Not all that special, but it wasn't too bad really. I mean, it was AJ after all. AJ tried working heel but alot of people were loving him. Still, most of the crowd was siding with Rhino, who totally sucked on his promo. He just took the microphone, and said ''hey you want me to gore him?'' pointing at AJ. and we booed his ass. He just shut up and started the match, lol. Rhino won via Gore, I think. Stupid. During AJ's entrance though, we put up a ''PAY LAY'' sign and he saw it and nodded like ''yeah it's a nice move!'' hehe.
Main event time... Kurt Angle versus Samoa Joe. 90% of the crowd was pro Angle and anti Joe. I let Joe have it alot. We started chanting ''OVER RATED'' and ''JOE'S OVERRATED'' at him, but eventually I was just screaming ''YOU'RE OVER RATED, JOE. OVER FUCKIN RATED'' whenever the crowd was silent. At one point, I yelled it at him and he turned to me, grabbed his crotch and puckered his lips, like ''suck me''. Got him some heat and the match went on. It was actually a decent standard match up, nothing special though. But the finish surprised me! I didn't think they'd develop this feud on a silly little Portuguese show, but Angle got a clean submission victory over Joe. Multiple false finishes, but eventually Joe tapped out to the ankle lock.
At one point, Angle hit the belly to belly suplex on Joe and the crowd was boiling HOT, popped big for the move, and even bigger for his taunt after the move.
After the show, we went around the back to meet as many wrestlers as we could. Alot of them had already left, but we still got quite a few treats! First, Rhino came out, and we could tell he was pretty tired. I shook his hand, but didnt care for his autograph. He left, and then came Jerry Lynn, who is AWESOME. The guy is so nice and polite. I got his autograph on my show ticket, and I kept referring to him as the ''X Division pioneer''. I think he annoyed him at one point, lol, but he was always really cool, talking to us and telling us he's going to be on the next pay per view agaisnt Sabin and Daniels. He was great, and then left. Then I think it was the british guys who came out, we talked to them for a bit. Then Abyss came out, and he was pretty crappy. Didnt really respond to us or anything, I dont know if he was staying in character, but he was signing autographs anyway, so that's kinda weird.
Samoe Joe came out, and I didnt really care for his autograph either, but I asked him a couple of questions. He's the most over rated wrestler alive, but he's a pretty cool guy. I asked him if Scott Steiner is easy to work with, and he said ''Yeah if you tell him to the shut the fuck up he's fine.'' and laughed. Later I asked him ''Don't you think Scott Steiner is totally awesome?'' and he said ''Yeah he's a really nice guy.'' to which I replied ''Isn't he a dick though?'' and Joe went ''Oh he's a huge dick, but you gotta respect that''.
Joe was always kinda going in and out of the arena, and one of the times he was going back in, as he was aproaching us I said ''oh look guys, it's Joe! It's Joe, Joe!'' and he stopped, pointed at me looking scared and said ''oh! look! look! it's that guy!'', lol, pretty funny stuff.
Now, about Angle. The portuguese wrestlers had told us he was a huge prick, surrounded by painkillers in the locker room, all sorts of varieties and stuff, and when a kid was backstage asking for his autograph, he said ''no'', but he was actually pretty damn cool to us. We could tell he was tired, but he signed autographs, took pictures with us, and a nice guy, saying stuff like ''thanks guys'' etc, instead of just going ''yeah'' and leaving.
Chris Daniels and AJ came out, and they seemed kinda annoyed and tired and in a rush. AJ signed a few autographs, then said ''last one'' and left. He didn't seem in the mood to talk to anybody, which was kinda disapointing, but oh well. Chris Daniels kicked ass, though. He's such a great guy, he signed all autographs, took pictures, and he was just awesome talking to us. We asked him if he liked our Curry man sign, and he went ''oh yeah baby good stuff'' and he was always just talking like that, lol. Two other fans told him they loved his match with Paul London and he said ''Oh yeah that's on dvd baby, I won that''. He was really superb.
Finally, the main event... GAIL KIM CAME OUT. I got my ticket autographed by her, and asked her to marry me. She said ''hum...someday. '' we laughed and then she said ''I'm still single though.'' How can that woman be single? I tell you she's so fine, polite, cool, cute, adorable, yet so hot and sexy and beautiful and classy. Man, I totally marked out for her.
I took my picture with her.

And that's a kiss full of love, my friends. Needless to say it's my cellphone wallpaper, now.
Overall, had a hell of a good time, certainly alot better than Smackdown!.

Amazing night Zentile, I hope that the next time I can fly to Lisboa to see TNA... for now, I have to "conform" this year with RoH in Liverpool in March, King of Europe Cupe in Liverpool in April, and of course every event of EWE (I hope that be a few events this year!)

Dude, what does this have to do with wrestling?
Satyagraha, you're right, this thread is getting heated! Scorchingly hot! I love it! And 10,000 is going to be insane, a new landmark for this site! Tell me another thread that reached this pinacle, I dare ya!
Something I read just a few seconds before posting this:
**- Do not be surprised if Bret Hart doesn’t take part in any festivities for the 10th anniversary of the Survivor Series screw job.
No duh! does anyone think Bret would do anything?!
