More on Kurt Angle"

As everyone who reads this site knows by now, Kurt Angle was released from his WWE contract on Friday. Several people who worked in WWE closely with Angle have said the decision to let him go may have actually saved his life.

Kurt has been more and more dependent on prescription medication because of the numerous injuries he has suffered over the last few months and was "a shell of a man" according to one of his co-workers. "It was just sad to see him that way" said one source.

According to other sources, Kurt was suspended for 30 days recently and came back normal and like the old Kurt again. With the new injuries though, the pain killers once again got to him and he took another turn for the worse.

According to other sources within WWE, there is a major part to this story that is still missing. Kurt had a $1 million per year guaranteed contract that always pays wrestlers while healing up including drug rehab. So the major question is - why would he opt out of a contract that was guaranteed pay whether he had injuries or needed rehab. There are family issues right now, but there is more to this story and it will likely come out over the next week or so. Stay tuned.

The "king" Booker skits are probably some of the most embaressing moments in WWE/WWF history.

It made me question whether or not I should get "Summerslam".

What tag team did DX face on RAW last night? I didn't watch it all.

Yeah, Trish is settling down. She's getting married shortly after she leaves E. I find it funny how they're making it into an angle. That leaves them with Mickie and L:ita as the only Divas that actually belong in the ring, and Lita is leaving soon, too.

Hope TNA gets their womens division once they hit two hours. It can't hurt to give the ladies at least 10 or 15 minutes of ring time; they work their asses off, so it's appropriate. Gail can throw down just as good as any dude and they look to be bringing in some decent female talent. Be sweet if they liscensed the old NWA womens title. Lots of heritage with that.

Man, King Booker is like the ONLY thing worth watching on SD, lol. I'm glad he's got the strap and is milking it for all it's worth. Prolly his last run before he retires, as well.

Man, can't wait to order some DVD's I've been looking at. I just watch Thursdays TNA and Lucha/TNA on Saturdays, so I need a fix. Youtube lurking is getting old .

Who does TNA even have? Gail Kim, Christy (who was getting good right before her release), Cirelda, Trinity, and SoCal Val (who isn't even a wrestler)? That's... not much. Unless they're going to start bringing in some of the SHIMMER regulars like MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa, Daizee Haze, Sara Del Ray, Rebecca Knox, etc., and maybe somebody like Mariko Yoshida, they've got no division.

Speaking of Women's Divisions, with Trish and Lita leaving soon, the WWE would do well to transfer Jillian over to RAW. Likewise, keep Beth there when she comes back and call up Krissy Vaine and Shantelle Taylor. A women's division consisting of Mickie James, Victoria, Candice (who's getting better every week), Jillian Hall, Krissy Vaine, Shantelle Taylor, and Beth Phoenix (MAYBE throw Torrie in there, though she sucks) isn't too bad at all.

TNA also has Traci Brooks, but Trinity is with WWECW now. She was joined with the FBI, but she injured her knee and had to have surgery.
Sirelda's also gone I think.

Traci, that's it. Why I was mixing them up, I have no clue. Like I said, though, why have a women's division when you don't have enough active female wrestlers? RAW has that problem but that can easily be fixed so I guess the closest point would be the tag division on RAW.

Then again as far as tag team wrestling goes, I think the Highlanders, Spirit Squad, and Vis/Haas should be put on SD! so you wind up with a nice tag division consisting of: KC James/Idol Stevens, London/Kendrick, Pitbulls, Gymini (even if they suck), Cryme Time (who's probably getting called up soon), Spirit Squad, Highlanders, and Vis/Haas.

Speaking of James/Stevens, I like the fact that KC James looks exactly like a 1980s tag team wrestler. He has some pretty nice punches, too.

In terms of already established talent that people would actually want to watch:

Amber O'neil wrestled a UWF/TNA house show with Gail. I'm not a fan of amber, but her audience interaction is top notch. I watched an ROH show with her and some dude yelled out "why are your tits so smal?" The crawd had this awkward moan then Amber yelled back "why's your dick so small?" LOL, it was great, the crowd broke out into a "holly shit!!" chant , haha.

Also, Gail would like to see ODB come to TNA, from what I've read.

I'm really not THAT big of a female wrestling fan, even though I mark out for Gail. I view her as just a wrestler, though; no "female" prefix needed. Tthere are some chicks that can fucking go. I think it's only fair that they be showcased and TNA would be a great outlet. Not many people have seen GOOD female wrestling, which is a shame. When it comes to signing names, you can bet your ass many of these qaulity indy chicks would jump at the chance for TV time.

That end segment of Raw was pathetic, imo. The whole thing with DX and the McMahons is getting old, imo, and needs to end. I like that DX is back, but if this is all they're going to do, then they should do away with DX again.

I don't think TNA is going to start hiring more women and start a division for them as long as the only have a one-hour show. Once they have more available TV time, THEN they'll probably start hiring more talent for a women's division.

If TNA does, I hope they do go for quality lady wrestlers that can put on good matches. Because WWE barely does anything with the ones they have.
In fact, I read that WWE is going to hold a try-out soon, but told all indy women not to bother showing up because they just signed 5 of the diva search finalists.

Yeah, it's all dependant on the 2 hour timeslot coming in january. Also, I guess Killings isn't leaving TNA. I'm glad to see that, he's a good worker who's just suffering from the one hour show, as well.

Honestly, I just wish I had the means to get more into joshi wrestling. Once I have the funds (whenever I get a job, which is something I apparently suck at), I'll probably go on a bit of a buying spree. Likewise with picking up some SHIMMER DVDs since I've heard nothing but good things about the promotion.

There's also Youtube but I'm stuck on a bad connection for the forseeable future so yeah, that's out. Though thankfully, I DO have Akira Hokuto vs. Shinobu Kandori from 04/02/93 which is just mind blowingly awesome (and more or less a must see for people who say women can't wrestle, along with the LCO vs. Ayako Hamada/AKINO match from '99).

The guy's so screwed up, what with the torn groin and the bad knee and the bad neck (which has screwed up his nerves causing his arms to visibly atrophy some) and the addiction to pain killers, that I'm surprised he never actually died in the ring.

Ok, so since a topic was started on Divas, here's my take...lose them! There is no diva division in either WWE or TNA, or at least none that warrents there being a title to deffend, and since WWE insists om hiring these do-talent bimbos with big boobs, who just prance around looking like idiots, not to sound sexist, but women have no place in wrestling! At least in this day and age! Gone are the glory years/days when women in wrestling actually did something, there will never be a women's division like there was in the 80's and 90's, and these days, it's lucky if a women can actually wrestle, which like only four of WWE's actually can, and that's a low number considering it's out of like a dozen or more! So, I think that unless they're brought in for managerial/vallet purposes, no more women in wrestling, imo!

I was Shock that was leaving! I had met Kurt Angle before, He was one of the cooliest guy i ever met. I know he has problems but wrestling is what he really wants to do!
