That last picture describes right about the era when I became a fan of MK. 1992-94 I was in about the 6th-8th grade. Late elementary, early Jr. high, and 12-14 yrs old like the kids in the image seem to be. I got to play at the arcade alot before the crowds came, but being a little guy at the time, when the crowds did come, not even my quarter on the screen was good enough to play the older guys alot of the time. It'd piss them off when I did actually get to play, and beat them in front of the crowds cuz I had already knew how to play. Ha!
They weren't unruly to me though, as they would just give me my coins back and tell me to go play something else in the arcade less violent. lol Yea, they would take my coins off the arcade console! err! The phrase:
"This game is not for kids"...that started waaay back then.
All that did was made the game more popular, and more desirable for my age group though. Thank goodness for the Sega Genesis, You old jerks!
lol

I was sure KingJolly would have posted this stuff earlier. He found it and posted on Twitter, but it's been more than a day or so. So I hope he doesn't mind that I post it here to share...
Everyone remember the MK artist Vincent Proce?
Check out his Scorpion, Raiden, Sonya, & Kano renditions. His work on MKvsDc's ending is also on that page if you scroll down.
There is of course other artists associated with the MkvsDc art that he was a part of making who are linked on his blog, but I found something really interesting after clicking on the filmpaint.com/ link on Vincent's page, and looked through their gallery.
At least pictures 3, 4, and 5 bare striking resemblance to MK arenas (duh). Was this art for a game that got canceled? Who knows, but it looks wonderful whatever the case. Then of course there's number 15, which is Raidens Palace from MKvsDC.
All kinds of other material is there for other games they've worked on as well. Awesome artwork. Thought I'd post them here too since I first got wind of them from KJ on Twitter.

Ed Boon has updated his twitter to link an animation on the Kombat Pavilion. (There's probably better ones on there he could've linked to, but still, awesome to get the plug!)

It's actually already on the first page of MKO. You just needs to scroll way down. That's where I first found the pics.

Updated to reveal a little bit of the source code from MK1 written in 34010 Assembly. It appears to be Sonya's Square Wave Flight.

Ed Boon talks like if he's a teenager.
He doesn't sound professional or sophisticated at all.
Talking like that to people in his personal life is one thing, but most of these twitter posters are his customers.

I don't see why he has to act "professional" on his own twitter page.Tweets are suppose to be casual in nature. He's simply just being himself and speaking out what's on his mind. Nothing wrong with that in my book. Plus...he doesn't really sound like a teen to me.
