Not sure if you guys are listening to Ed Boon on his interviews, if you are then you will be able to narrow down the last 2 MK charters fairly easliy. Ed said the MK players are the iconic one from MK 1 & MK 2. So with that comment in mind, that leaves only :

So I would say Cage and Baraka would make the cut or Cage and Reptile.

Kung Lao was always a boring player and was not that Iconic and same goes with Mileena. I would still think Reptile would be in there as a down loadable.

They are loading it up with the most popular players or fan favs.

Kung Lao is too close in roles to Liu Kang, so that role is already filled, so when he came on in MK2 it was like... ohhh yay.... big deal, Liu Kang 2. Story is boring and his moves are not exicitng. See and iconic fighter is someone from original looks to moves, storyline and so on. And Mileena is just a copy of Kitana and although I like her story line and her ground roll in MK2 I just think there are 10 others that are way before her.

I've actually preferred Lao over Liu Kang at times throughout the history of MK. Mind you, I like Liu Kang as well, but my interest in him dwindled from about MK3 on to Deception, when he returned as a zombie. That right there re-sparked my interest in his character. I thought it was a rather interesting turn for him.

But in terms of filling the final spaces, I would imagine both Kano and Johnny Cage are strong possibilities, but I really hope they omit Kano and go with Cage, then throw Lao in the roster. If I'm right, that would leave room for another...I'm not sure...but if so, I'd add in Fujin as well. I think his powers over wind would make an interesting game mechanic, and a good opposition to some of the DC characters.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

Cage, Reptile and Baraka all have good chances of making the cut. Out of the four remaining in MK2, I would prefer Kung Lao and Reptile. For my roster, I would take Shang Tsung out and add Ermac, Sindel, and Cyrax. Not very realistic but that's just me. I could totally care less about DC. Mortal Kombat ftw.
