There is no voting yet, that begins on Thursday. I'm basically saying who's fighting who, and who I'm picking to win. On Thursday, you'll all be able to vote on the fights that I post. Not too complicated, right?
Next set of fights: ZATERRA BRACKET
(4) Reptile (22-6)
(61) Mokap (0-13)
(29) Reiko (8-8)
(36) Sonya (6-9)
(13) Shao Kahn (16-8)
(52) Darrius (3-11)
(20) Goro (10-8)
(45) Drahmin (5-12)
First Round:
Reptile (22-6) vs. Mokap (0-13)
First Ever Meeting
Reptile gets a nice and easy ride into the second round here. However, mark my words: Mokap will win a fight sometime in this tournament.
Winner: Reptile
Reiko (8-8) vs. Sonya (6-9)
First Ever Meeting
Reiko seems to have new life in terms of his fanbase due to MKA. Sonya is well, still Sonya. Nothing new or special about her for the upcoming MKA (yet). Therefore, I think Reiko will win.
Winner: Reiko
Shao Kahn (16-8) vs. Darrius (3-11)
MKT4: Shao Kahn won 14-3
Shao Kahn's appearance in the first MKT championship match seems like so long ago given his recent performances. At any rate, he gets Darrius in the first round, which is a rematch from the last tournament's first round. Kahn should own him again.
Winner: Shao Kahn
Goro (10-8) vs. Drahmin (5-12)
First Ever Meeting
Goro has been the fighter where you can't really pick against him (and be right) in the first round but anything after that you aren't really sure. He'll probably truck Drahmin in this fight, that isn't the issue. I just wonder how well he matches up with Kahn in round two.
Winner: Goro
Second Round:
Reptile vs. Reiko
I think this is an intersting match-up. Reptile should win, but not without a fight; Reiko is more popular than most think, he'll get more than his fair share of votes here.
Winner: Reptile
Shao Kahn vs. Goro
Ah, yes. The bad boys of MKD on the Cube. Kahn vs. Goro. It's hard for me to pick a winner, so I'll flip a coin. And the winner is...
Winner: Shao Kahn
Third Round:
Reptile vs. Shao Kahn
Everyone's favorite henchman (sorry, Baraka) against his former whip-cracker. Reptile didn't quite make it to the quarterfinals last time, thanks to Smoke, but this cake bracket he's been given will see him through.
Winner: Reptile

(5) Scorpion (23-7)
(60) Moloch (1-13)
(28) Stryker (9-9)
(37) Frost (7-11)
(12) Jade (16-7)
(53) Bo' Rai Cho (3-12)
(21) Fujin (11-9)
(44) Cyrax (4-10-1)
First Round:
Scorpion (23-7) vs. Moloch (1-13)
MKT4: Scorpion won 15-1
Finally Scorpion gets some love in this tournament. This bracket sets up EXTREMELY nice for him and with a potential quarterfinal matchup with Reptile, is there any stopping Scorpion from a Final Four appearance? Besides, this guy is battle tested, as only Sub-Zero (31) and Ermac (32) have been in more fights than him. Scorpion takes this fight easily.
Winner: Scorpion
Stryker (9-9) vs. Frost (7-11)
First Ever Meeting
Well, I'll use Liu Kang as an example here. Frost upset him in the first round of the last tournament, and quite honestly I see the same happening here as well. Stryker gets a bad draw in the first round, once again.
Winner: Frost
Jade (16-7) vs. Bo' Rai Cho (3-11)
MKT4: Jade won 14-3
Jade finally receives her fair share of favors as well. She can cruise through this matchup and the following one into the third round. Bo' Rai Cho isn't going to stop her, and neither Fujin nor Cyrax should either.
Winner: Jade
Fujin (11-9) vs. Cyrax (4-10-1)
First Ever Meeting
This fight has upset potential. While you're still laughing, I'll say that Cyrax's wins have come against Tremor, Mileena, Meat, and Quan Chi. Well, 2 of those are quality wins, and who's to say Fujin won't be a third? Most of Fujin's 11 wins are against scrubs anyway.
Winner: Cyrax
Second Round:
Scorpion vs. Frost
This fight will be a good test for Scorpion for the third round. How big his margin of victory is here will give us an idea of how he should fare in the following battle. Although she'll lose this fight, Frost can and will cause hell in her subsequent fights.
Winner: Scorpion
Jade vs. Cyrax
The reason I picked Cyrax in the last fight is because I feel he is much better than that 4-10-1 record. I'll give you a list of his losses in the last tournament, when he went 1-6-1: Sub-Zero, Ermac (twice), Kenshi, Frost, Smoke. Yea, I did screw him by placing him in that murderer's row of a realm, but hey, at least I picked him to get to here, Jade will give him a good send-off.
Winner: Jade
Third Round:
Scorpion vs. Jade
As much as I want to pick Jade, I won't because I know she isn't going to win this fight. Scorpion marches on to the quarterfinals against Reptile.
Winner: Scorpion

(2) Raiden (25-5, Defending Champion)
(63) TBD (*Masked Guard)
(31) Sektor (9-10-1)
(34) Sareena (6-8-1)
(15) Kenshi (15-8)
(50) Motaro (3-11-1)
(18) Mavado (9-6)
(47) Chameleon (5-13)
First Round:
Raiden (25-5) vs. *Masked Guard (my pick)
The Thunder God is done no favors in this bracket for his quest to repeat, and it's going to be real tough for him to even make it out of round two. Raiden will roll whoever fights him in the first round, after that is a crapshoot.
Winner: Raiden
Sektor (9-10-1) vs. Sareena (6-8-1)
First Ever Meeting
This fight will be close. Real close. Raiden will be better off if Sareena takes this fight, but I'll take Sektor here, and that second round matchup will be a hell of a fight.
Winner: Sektor
Kenshi (15-8) vs. Motaro (3-11-1)
MKT3: Kenshi won 11-3
Kenshi shouldn't have any trouble here, and his second round matchup will be much easier than people will predict. Motaro simply does not stand a chance or offer any challenge.
Winner: Kenshi
Mavado (9-6) vs. Chameleon (5-13)
MKT3: Mavado won 9-6
This match is sort of a role reversal. In the C bracket of the third tournament, a 13-seeded Mavado upset a 4-seeded Chameleon in the first round of the tournament. Since the second tournament, Chameleon has gone 1-9. Now the positions are switched. The result? The same.
Winner: Mavado
Second Round:
Raiden vs. Sektor
Like I said, this fight will be one of the best of the second round. The defending champ will get all he can handle from the Tekunin leader. I believe Raiden will advance, but the vote count will be close.
Winner: Raiden
Kenshi vs. Mavado
Mavado got fat off of a weak Seido realm in the last tournament and went 6-1 during the round-robin, and I fell for it in my picks for the playoff section (I still won the Bracket Challenge
Winner: Kenshi
Third Round:
Raiden vs. Kenshi
Another match that should be decided by a slim margin. The blind swordsman has always had decent showings, only failing to win multiple matches in the first tournament, when Sektor knocked him out in the second round. Raiden has been lackluster before a gift from Shang Tsung's defeat of Sub-Zero gave Raiden the title. It's time to prove it isn't a fluke. WIll he win this fight? Absolutely.
Winner: Raiden

SEIDO BRACKET:
(2) Raiden (25-5, Defending Champion)
(63) TBD (*Masked Guard)
(31) Sektor (9-10-1)
(34) Sareena (6-8-1)
(15) Kenshi (15-8)

Winner: Raiden
If raiden wasn't in this bracket i would really like to pull for kenshi to win this bracket because kenshi is my boy lol and the best character to be introduced in either da or D but unfortunely for kenshi raiden is here and here to stay i agree with everything about this bracket.

(7) Ermac (24-8)
(58) Onaga (2-13)
(26) Kintaro (10-9)
(39) Shinnok (5-10)
(10) Kitana (16-6)
(55) Jarek (2-10-1)
(23) Havik (8-7-2)
(42) Ashrah (4-10-1)
First Round:
Ermac (24-8) vs. Onaga (2-13)
First Ever Meeting
Ermac is the most battle-tested fighter in the tournament, with 32 fights, 24 wins, and 2 finals appearances. He starts off his next run with Onaga, who is a paltry 2-13. Ermac should have no trouble moving past the first round yet again.
Winner: Ermac
Kintaro (10-9) vs. Shinnok (5-10)
First Ever Meeting
I really want to pick Shinnok here, however I picked him over Baraka last time. We know how wrong I was on that one. Kintaro could be a sleeper pick here, who knows...
Winner: Kintaro
Kitana (16-6) vs. Jarek (2-10-1)
First Ever Meeting
Kitana just doesn't catch any breaks with the brackets. She's already lost to Ermac twice all-time, and she's set up for a third round match with him. Jarek always disappoints, and he will once again.
Winner: Kitana
Havik (8-7-2) vs. Ashrah (4-10-1)
First Ever Meeting
Havik is always hit or miss in these tournaments. Last time, he was a hit, going 5-2-2 and nearly making the round of 16 before going out 10-9 to Nitara. Ashrah is usually under the miss category, however she did win twice and picked up a tie (2-5-1) last time. In this fight, I think Havik will win, because he is a much more popular new character.
Winner: Havik
Second Round:
Ermac vs. Kintaro
I'd give Kintaro a chance but Ermac's fanbase is just too big. He'll get way more than enough votes to beat the Shokan. Kintaro will make hay in the loser's bracket.
Winner: Ermac
Kitana vs. Havik
Kitana has a history of getting upset, but Havik is not of the crappy quality that would make you think upset. Stryker is, however, as shown when he defeated Kitana 5-1. Kitana will roll Havik and move on.
Winner: Kitana
Third Round:
Ermac vs. Kitana
Ermac is 2-0 against Kitana. Is the third time the charm for the Edenian princess? Call me biased, but my answer is no. I feel that Ermac will defeat Kitana and push is overall record against her to 3-0. By how much, I cannot say, but Ermac will win this match.
Winner: Ermac

(3) Shang Tsung (23-6)
(62) TBD (*Hornbuckle)
(30) Hotaru (8-8)
(35) Blaze (6-9)
(14) Mileena (14-7)
(51) Dairou (3-10)
(19) Rain (13-9)
(46) Kira (3-9-2)
First Round:
Shang Tsung (23-6) vs. *Hornbuckle- My pick
Shang Tsung should have won the championship. After defeating Sub-Zero, it looked like it was finally his turn to shine after falling short each of the previous three appearances. Well hello there, Kung Lao. Kung Lao ended the sorcerer's bid for the title right after he had knocked out the one guy that nobody thought could be beaten. Well, let's just say that he would be out for vengeance.
Winner: Shang Tsung
Hotaru (8-8) vs. Blaze (6-9)
First Ever Meeting
I like Blaze in this fight because of the new popularity he has received with those speculating if he is the One Being (or not) and Hotaru is hated by many, liked by few.
Winner: Blaze
Mileena (14-7) vs. Dairou (3-10)
First Ever Meeting
Mileena is an anomaly in this tournament. She either picks up a few wins or falls flat on her face. She isn't even automatic in the first round. Since she won twice last time, it should be said that she will fail this time around. But when the first round opponent is Dairou, she can't fail. Yet.
Winner: Mileena
Rain (13-9) vs. Kira (3-9-2)
MKT4: Rain won 12-8
Rematch, anyone? This was a first-round matchup in the last tournament, which Rain won handily. Rain should be considered the favorite once again here, and he should be able to take down Kira again.
Winner: Rain
Second Round:
Shang Tsung vs. Blaze
Shang Tsung is automatic in the first two-three rounds of these tournaments, and he'll have one of the easiest second round fights of anyone in Blaze. Blaze is a formidable opponent, make no mistake, but Shang will not have any trouble putting him away.
Winner: Shang Tsung
Mileena vs. Rain
So much purple it's scary. Lots of questions about Rain contribute to his popularity, but it will not be enough to allow him to advance here. Rain will be another fighter who will cause hell in the loser's brackets.
Winner: Mileena
Third Round:
Shang Tsung vs. Mileena
Evil vs. Evil. Shang Tsung faces another Kung Lao-caliber character in Mileena, and that means another pitfall match. Shang SHOULD be able to win here. Whether or not he will remains to be seen.
Winner: Shang Tsung

(6) Kung Lao (19-6)
(59) Shujinko (1-13)
(27) Quan Chi (9-9)
(38) Johnny Cage (5-9)
(11) Kabal (16-6-1)
(54) Meat (3-12)
(22) Nightwolf (12-10)
(43) Khameleon (4-10-1)
First Round:
Kung Lao (19-6) vs. Shujinko (1-13)
First Ever Meeting
Kung Lao lost the championship 14-11 just two weeks ago. This bracket is difficult but he should be able to get out of it and into the quarterfinals. Shujinko's lone win came against Khameleon and he will pose little threat to Mr. Sharp Hat in this match.
Winner: Kung Lao
Quan Chi (9-9) vs. Johnny Cage (5-9)
First Ever Meeting
Quan Chi should be fine in this match because Johnny Cage's fan base isn't large (although Pinemartin counts for like 6 Cage fans). Anyway it's hard to believe that Quan Chi is only 9-9 but he's been quite lackluster in his performances. He did go 6-4 in the last tournament with losses to Scorpion, Noob, Sareena and Kung Lao. Since that's a pretty good resume of losses, Quan Chi is my pick.
Winner: Quan Chi
Kabal (16-6-1) vs. Meat (3-12)
First Ever Meeting
Kabal can never seem to break through. After a 8-1-1 performance in the last tournament, Kabal appears primed to make a run at the top. He starts off with Meat in the first round, and that means easy victory.
Winner: Kabal
Nightwolf (12-10) vs. Khameleon (4-10-1)
First Ever Meeting
Nightwolf is the only fighter with both double-digit wins and losses. He has some potential in this bracket but another possible second-round matchup with Kabal does not bode well seeing as he lost 13-4 the last time around. Khameleon started off well in the Zaterra pool but faltered down the stretch and could not manage much in a 17-3 loss to Sareena in round one. Nightwolf advances.
Winner: Nightwolf
Second Round:
Kung Lao vs. Quan Chi
Last time these two fought, Kung Lao took the match by a score of 11-5. That margin alone is enough for me to say that the...
Winner: Kung Lao
Kabal vs. Nightwolf
See above. A 13-4 victory by Kabal is enough to declare the Kabal the winner here.
Winner: Kabal
Third Round:
Kung Lao vs. Kabal
This is going to be a very interesting match and one that Kung Lao fans need to vote on if they're going to get their guy to the finals again. A probable rematch with Shang Tsung will be handed to Kung Lao if he wins, but he's gotta get past Kabal first. Due to fan support, I think he'll get there.
Winner: Kung Lao
As for the rest of the bracket:
Quarterfinals:
Sub-Zero defeats Smoke
Scorpion defeats Reptile
Raiden defeats Ermac
Shang Tsung defeats Kung Lao
Semifinals:
Sub-Zero defeats Scorpion
Raiden defeats Shang Tsung
Final:
Sub-Zero defeats Raiden, 15-13.

Do you think these tournaments have gotten better over time? If so or if not, why, and if I decide to do another one in the far future how can I improve them?
Give me a sleeper pick (someone who you think will go far that nobody would expect)
Pick someone who everyone thinks will do well but will not go very far.
And, of course.... Who is your pick to win it all?
Since we are now under 17 hours until the start of the tournament, I'd like to pose a couple of questions:
Well I only really joined towards the end of the last tournament so i cant really say if it's getting any better or what to improve althought i am very impressed by this tournments size and vastness.
Based on the hype and speculation of E3, i'll say Khameleon will go quite far as the fans way of saying "Boon get your act together".
With all the fanboy-bashers out there, i gonna have to say Scorpion will fall short of everyones expectations
A little against my last point, but i think Sub-Zero will win this tournament, once E3 is done and finished MKO is gonna recieve and influx of new users, which will statistically consist of alot of Subby fans.

Hmm, I didn't answer my own questions. Well, I can't answer the first one (kind of silly if I did), but:
Sleeper pick: Jade
Disappointment: Well, I don't think Scorpion will fall short of expectations, but someone who I think will is Fujin.
Winner: Sub-Zero
