Rain may have been born before argus married his wife. If it was with sindel it could have been before she married jerrid.

It’s possible that the events in his life lead him to desiring power and he didn’t actually want power until armegedden. This is why he didn’t make a grab for it after khan’s defeat. It’s also possible he was killed and wasn’t resurrected until Armageddon.

I don’t believe anyone told rain that he is argus’s son, he doesn’t show any evidence that he is aware of it, assuming he even is his son.

Riko is actually an extention of the personality of shao khan’s helmet, which is why he is obsessed with it.
