got a question, was this tier list made with infinte combos in mind?
because a character like frost for instance doesnt have her infinte combo in the PAL version. so its probably worth noting the tier list is not suited for PAL version in mind.

Reptile is underestimated

Jax is stronger than Frost....

pretty good though.

Note that this tier list was made for the American version of the game. Those who have the pal version just have to make one adjustment..put frost in the low tier section instead of the top tier. Besides that, you guys can refer to this list, too.

frosts infinte is definately what makes her, and its simplicity.

i do not agree with that tier.


Top Tier = the top dogs. these guys either have complete safeness and great back dash cancel strats,power, priority, or all of the above.

Mid Tier = These guys can compete, but they're nothing too crazy.

Low Tier = hard work is needed to win with these guys. They lack that POW that would make them good.

imo, nitara is top tier. her power factor alone puts her on the top tier list. her and frost need to switch places.everything else seems to be in pretty good order.

Exactly what I thought, nitara is definately top tier, extremely fast neijin, devastating combos, KAMA!, and a nice mid low mixup game in her second stance...top tier imo
edit: another thing, raiden so high on the list??? Ok he's got staff but the rest of his styles...he's low mid man...

Frost is only top because of her infinite...otherwise she's low tier. Bo' Rai Cho doesn't need an infinite to be top. Nitara is low because she is extremely linear and easily sidestepped. Do you really think that if you are even halfway decent at MKDA that you're going to let a Powered up Nitara land a combo on you? I think not. That is why she is ranked where she is.

lol...you think it's hard to block something then hit u+2 in Tong Bei to start the infinite? I think not.

Guess I was wrong about Nitara...Without comp it's hard to judge u know My general strat for nitara is getting open for the neijin and going to kama to start a mid low mix up game, in which I succeed most of the time against my friends but as I said, no decent comp...

Btw, is it possible to powerup somewhere IN a combo? guess not judging by her tier...

you can do a set up where you knock the victim down in a combo, neijin ,and then go to the kama mix up.

That is what Neijin is all about...seting it up for mixups.

So the facts are...fast neijin, great Kama setup, again my question why no higher tier? A mix up is per definition not linear...

What I mean by linear is that she moves in a straight line and most of her attacks go straight forward, not sweeping from one side to the other which would hit a would-be sidestepper. All she really has going for her offensively is her Kama mixups. If she plans on landing any of her crazy damage combos, she had better have a really good defensive strategy.

I think Scorpion is overrated, I'm by no means the best @ MK:DA. I'd rank MoKap as either the 2nd or 3rd fighter because of his combo capacity, with Kano @ #1.

But that's just me.

I don't count infinites when I evaluate a character. If I'm sitting down playing with a friend, I don't do infinites. It's just common courtesy. If you take Frost's infinite away, she really isn't better than Jax. Bo Rai Cho without the infinite is still tier one.

yeah I sorta felt bad, but...I had to. I wanted that gamecube cuz I wanted Wind Waker. Just in time too!

Plus it was a tournament, with no rules...

I told the judge, "Next time, you should ban infinites..."

That tier list is about as accurate as it gets. We really worked hard to work out all the bugs of it.

Nitara is nowhere near top tier. She is the only character in the game that has a problem with the universal tracking method. The only way to really compete with her is to power up and attempt kama mix ups and hope to guess wrong, because if the opponent guesses right you are gonna lose a quarter of your bar or more.

Mokap is good, but not top tier. He has TKD, but he lacks the big time damage that Sonya has. His strongest juggle is like 2,1,1,d+3 in TKD if im correct, and it only does about 30%. He can hang with the big dogs, but he isn't one of them.

Raiden is good. He has a reversal and fairly fast jabs. With that hes already pretty much low mid tier. It's the staff stance that makes him shine.

Scorpion is overrated, but hes still the best in the game. He just gets too much guaranteed stuff. You guess wrong and you can watch your bar vanish. Hes the only person in the game who has no bad match ups. He can be beaten, but its always an uphill battle.

About an hour before I posted up this list, I thought long and hard over who should be 9 and 10 between Jax and Frost. Jax has the big damage, and frost only has the infinite, but then I realised, Frost could have abou 5% health left, once d,f+4 hits, unless you screw the infinite up the match is over. Jax is gonna have a bit of trouble getting in the zone where he needs to be to take out frost, and if jax screws up just once, game over.

No tier list is 100% accurate, but this one is very damn close to it. The strained it of all biasness and made a tier list thats 100% truth from experience. However, don't be pissed just because one of your favorites is in the low tier section or isn't top tier. Everyone can compete, its just harder for some.
