yeah i know saturn is broken like hell, scorpion can add HK, JK, Air throw after his 4 hit combo in corner right?

KLS, you should make an entire Saturn UMK3 video highlighting all the things you can do in the Saturn version you can't in the arcade. Even if it was short, I think it would still be cool, kinda like Ninja Grinder's N64 MKT vids. Just a thought, cus some of the UMK3 footage you posted in the past was cool...

Saturn UMK3 is the like the Peanut Brittle of MK. You can do standing HKs in the corner multiple times, enough times to activate some feature that pushes you away.

That is one of the most astonishing things I've seen. Traditionally bad versions of MK games are lacking in things. In this case, they realized they did something wrong and just decided to start putting in new things as they went to try and patch it up.

How about autocombo-spear-autocombo-spear...? I was able to get spear, hp, hp, lp, spear... in UMK3 so it looks like the only thing preventing it in that game was the hit limit. So is it inf with out the hit limit in mk3?

Okay, I tried it again today and I could have sworn I got two unblockable RHs in a row. Is anybody willing to test it out and see if MK2 on MAT2 is accurate?

EDIT: Woaw, my bad. I searched for these topics seperately and didn't realize they were both actualy the same. My apologies for the double post and bump (at least it isn't three months). I just got my computer fixed and I no longer need to use a frickin' PSP!! YES!... I overendulged...

I captured three 5-hit auto combo + spear's in a row for MK3 once, and put it in a former video (one I think I never released). I had a Kick starter to start and Standing HK to finish as well, and I think it came to something like 17 hits - 74%. Of course, I can't find the clip or the video I put it in (seem to have deleted both), but I'm pretty sure it would be possible if you had the patience to try.
I don't think it would be unblockable though, Matt (and I think dreemer and ded_) has seen the clip, maybe he / they can shed more light on whether it is possible unblockable. (I did it on Sheeva btw)

I'd be suprised as hell if it was blockable. If you could connect them once, you should be able to do it over and over.

I am quite sure that in MK3, autocombo, spear, is only possible on Sheeva, the spear is different in MK3 in terms of physics and limits, so the timing is critical, she can be completely laying on the ground and it'll still connect unblockable due to autocombo "must land" properties. I did this in about 5 minutes worth of trying, and I almost went for another spear but I saw danger happen and decided to just get the full hits.

Is it still considered an Infinite if you have the Quick Uppercut Recover cheat on?

In the most technical sense, QUR does creates lots of infinites. However, none of these infinites officially count when it is used as a game code. The only time a legit QUR type of combo is possible is after finish him. This is done to enable you more time to get in position to do a fatality, so it is part of the game system at that point.

Ex: Uppercut (Finish Him), Spin, Uppercut, Uppercut, JK AFB would be technically a nice 100% combo. I also use this property for Reptile combo enhancement, and a lot of times people don't understand at first how I'm recovering so quickly off an uppercut.

Yeah, lol with that QUR code you can do sooooo many partials, infinites and newer ones it's ridiculous.

But here are a few I know:

MK:D-Dairou infinite, jump in and throw, jump in and throw, repeat.You have to do this fast and immediately after a previous throw.It's a throwing infinite.

Here's another Rain partial for MKT:Orb ball, Orb ball, Orb ball, Orb ball, Hp, Hp, RH, Hp, RH, uppercut.It works for the N64 version I have to try it on the PS version.

That one for MK 3 that's already been mentioned but there's one that do In the corner that will work on everyone just about:

Ice Shower Freeze, JK & buffer the clone, HP, Freeze, jump back, JK & buffer Ice clone.At least a partial if you can do it.

Another MK:D one with N/S is this:Jump kick, throw, side step, jump kick , throw repeat.You can use your breakers on this, however once you have run out of them, you're screwed.

BTW, was playing the PS version again the other day after the 64 version man the bosses in that game are soo freaking broken it's ridiculous.With the exception of UMK3 cast, it's just as bad.I'm glad that the Bosses aren't in the 64 version now that I think about it.Motaro and kahn are in it, but nobody uses them.

In every sense the PSX version is better actually. N64 breaks the characters that were in UMK3 by not reproducing UMK3 gameplay. Thats why ninja teleports and everybody's D+HK are so broken in N64 compared to UMK3 arcade or MKT PSX. Its truly sad.

The best version will be on the 360 I have no doubt once it finally does come out lol.

Midway Arcade is good too, only thing you have to deal with is the music messed up a bit and the flickering shadows at times, other then that the game plays great MK2 and MK3 I mean.Lots of fun, I play that version more then MKT because it's obviously more arcade like.grin

Ditto, for ps3 since Back-Compat is going down hill (mkt barely works on ps2 as it is)

You are correct, MKT was not released in the arcades. However, it wouldn't be difficult for them to make UMK3 into something bigger than it is, and still call UMK3. I also happen to have contacts outside of the information that is provided on this site, leading me to believe that if the game is delayed until December, this might just happen. I can't confirm, nor can I deny the possibilty of this, I can only hope, that they will release some kind of super Arcade MKT, which would be UMK3 as it is, plus more characters, and gameplay tweaks.
