The Stage doesn't seem like Mortal Kombat
Not a fan of Scorpions costume. IMO MK9 has his best two costumes ever
Nothing new really shown except Scorpions throw(Injustice Super Move)
Scorpion has the exact same X-Ray as MK9 just upgraded graphically

The 2015 release date. We all expected an April 2015 release date but dammit I want it this Fall

Overall not and I'm very excited but but I'm a little let down

It's probably talking about how the story is 'cinematic'. MK2011 is highly praised for its story presentation in a fighting game.

Mortal Kombat 9 used the word cinematic a lot too, and that game is great. I have high hopes for MKX.

Yea, I know it's not a stargate. I guess the reason I find it noteworthy is because. Well. Why put an arch in the background of the fighting? They could've just set it in the woods, no big arch. Makes me think that maybe this is an actual setting that will appear in the game. In which case, the arch can be explained.

Scorpions X-Ray is different! The only thing similar is the teleport part,

In MK9 he teleports into a head punch and then stomps on your chest while your laying on the ground

This one he teleports into a gut punch and then kicks your knee side on snapping it

AMAZING TRAILER! X-ray looks much better and the visual of the fight is darker and more interative. I hope the gameplay get closer to it...

I'm fine with that. MK/NRS needs to build on what they have and take things further, rather than starting from scratch each time.

See SF4 > USF4. Each edition tweaked and updated it till they've got the final version USF4. It's still one of the best and most played games.

If they can use the strong base they had with MK9, update the gameplay as people have noted over the years, spruce up the GFX. They can create a really good fighter that not only MK fans will like, but also possibly everyone else in the FGC.

I think it looks awesome. If those are going to be the graphics then I'm sold. It looks like your going to be able to use the environment to your advantage just like in Injustice:Gods Among Us. I read some post on here and some ppl are sry as Hell. It's just the launce trailer, so I don't understand Y some ppl are cussing at Ed Boon when there will be more to come eventually. I mean, damn, the man is giving us a new MK when they don't have to give us a damn thing. Be grateful that their making an MK that looks like it's going to surpass the MK2011. I'm just sad that it's not coming till the end of next yr but all good things come to those who wait even though I'll be 40 next year, "tear", LOL!!!!!

My personal theory as said in other threads:

- Quan Chi thinks Scorpion is having doubts about what happened to his family and considers he can be a threat if he discovers it.

- He gifts Sub-Zero with him human mortal body and asks him to defeat Scorpion, which he wants to do anyway so it's like 2 gifts.

- This is all part of a plan to taint Subby's soul to make him follow his brother's footsteps.

- Sareena knowing what happened with the first Sub-Zero tells the young Sub-Zero what's happening.

- Sub-Zero finally spares Scorpion's life and lets him know what happened with Quan Chi and ending their grudge like in the original timeline. Subby and Sareena scape from Netherealm and start kicking cyborgs to claim the Lin Kuei to prepare for the final fight against the netherealm forces.

I truly believe this is next gen only, I seriously seriously am convinced now. Also, those fuckin character designs! Oh my god! They're perfect! They finally got it right, no more of the campy designs. I loved the new looks in MK9 when it was out, now they look over complicated with too much detail for nothing. Now they're putting the details of the little things that actually look cool. I love it, too many good things to say about how Sub and Scorpion look in this game. I couldn't be happier with that whole trailer.

Hello my fellow Mortal Kombat die-hard fans. I see you guys are still as picky as the old days, I love it.

This trailer is amazing! Although we all hate the fact that Scorpion defeats Subzero AGAIN, it makes sense. I think this battle represents MK9 and "who's next" will reveal Scorpion's next threat, which will most likely be Quan Chi / Shinnok. I really hope they somehow change the storyline of MK9 or find a different way to bring KITANA back. Seriously she better be in this game.

Okay now time to rewatch the video 5 more times before work.

This. I think that was the problem mortal kombat had after UMK3. It was really trying to find itself (gameplay wise) and change mechanics/engines too much. Fans are happy it's back to it's 2d MK1-3 roots. They don't need to reinvent the mechanics again. Just expand on what exists, like injustice did..

I never really cared for the double dash mechanics of MK9, it felt too Street fighter-y. I could see them bringing back the run function as a replacement and it would be a functional mechanic upgrade to the game.

The source code for that youtube trailer has last gen consoles listed...I think it's safe to say it's cross-gen.

Edit: I do agree on the designs...Did not like how they kept evolving Scorpion's design into literal Scorpion armor. I'm liking the looks based on this!

It is really hard to enjoy a trailer when the choice in music is a fatality, in itself. Hope they did not pay millions to use that crap song. I kept waiting for either ninja to make it rain dolla billz, or Scorpion to tip a 40oz. on Sub-zero's decapitated head. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Other than that, looks promising; can't say much more until I watch the trailer on mute.

Btw, to anyone saying "he's still a cyborg on the inside" because of the eyes or the body moving strange, watch the X-Ray part to full confirmation of human body :D

The eyes are simply a representation of his cryomancer's powers, and it turns down because he's dead so the power is going away.

I don't like that they always kill him in the trailers (knowing that Subby kills Scorpion during armageddon in the original timeline compensates that :P), but seeing him in human form this soon (I though they woul keep it a secret) is great for me.

So it seems there will be weapons to pick up during fights like MK4, notice the sword Sub-Zero picks up towards the end, it was in the ground during the whole fight.

E3 can't come soon enough!

As long as we get an explanation as to why Sub-zero is human again, I will be content.

Just because more people are giving their initial impression on the music, and disliking it, doesn't mean you need to keep re-iterating yours and mocking others. That's a bit silly and uncalled for.
