Did I miss something? I don't know if the characters were listed in the box on the lower screen or if this is a different video? I never heard anything about the characters? I will have to look at this again when I get home... running short on time. But I SWEAR THIS BETTER BE TRUE...

......wait, I havent looked at the vid yet, but from people's responces, is that list actually real??? If so, Im super happy for Poison Ivy being in the game, BUT, what the hell? no Sonya?!! no Rayden?! No Johnny Cage?! I understand Mileena over Kitana, but as much as I love+adore Sindel, she is just not as iconic (but Im sure she would look awesome though, and I would obviously jove-enjoy to use her! Though I honestly rather see the others because I think they disserve it more).

As for the DC, Catwoman is cool I guess, Im just happy Poison Ivy, probably the best DC character to suit MK and this game, is in there.

*Wait, I just saw the way they mentioned this "confirmed" characters. I honestly doubt thats a true list. Why would they put it in letters and not show/ask Boon if thats true or part of the list?

I like some of the list, I just hope they dont fuc* up the fans by ignoring the characters that actually disserve a spot.

Yeah. It was in the pop-up at the bottom of the screen early in the video. *** To Queve. I suppose it remains to be seen if it's truly confirmed. But Gamereactor is a respectable pub. I don't think they'd BS. But we'll see, I guess. Also, this is probably only half the list. And so far the choices make sense to me ( aside from Liu ).

If what Ed Boon says is correct in that thread link (Aquaman and Rain "possibly confirmed"), then this list can be put in question. If they really havent revealed any other known characters, then nothing is certain.

I just hope Mileena-or-Sindel (if there are only going to be 2 females, I only hope for one because I really want to see Sonya in the game) and Poison Ivy are in, from the list of this thread!

PS: I am happy for Sindel, Catwoman, and Ivy if they really are in the game :)

Yeah, I guess we will have to wait and see. Because, as much as I see how Catwoman suits the game better then Wonderwoman, Im not quite sure how they would leave her out, seeing she is super iconic. Of course, Im assuming only 2 females from both sides will be available.

If there are 3 females, which I'm not really sure about, then I guess there’s still a spot for Sonya and Wonderwoman to be in the game.

As for the males, they all sound OK, I'm just curious, is that “Manhunter” that iconic/popular?

I actually think this list is true as Boon did say the characters were going to be parrallels of each other eg. Sub-Zero and Batman. These characters can be considered parrallels as well: Mileena and Catwoman, Sindel and Poison Ivy, Shang Tsung and Martian Manhunter. I don't know about Liu Kang and Green Lantern but I guess we'll have 2 wait and see.

Manhunter is popular as a member of the Justice League, and that's about it. Personally, I'd have left him out, but almost all the main JL members are an obvious choice. And Wonder Woman is popular for JL AND alone, so I'm sure she'll be in it.

I don't really want to see Sonya. But Kitana should surely be in this. I don't even like playing with her, but there's no more iconic female in MK IMO. ***to Dean: I didn't even think of Manhunter vs. Tsung. Good one! That makes a lot of sense.

The D.C roster IS SOOOOOOO GAYYYYYY so is the Mk one. I mean WTF!!!!!!!! poision ivy AND cat woman their not iconic also martian manhunter this just keeps on getting worse.

No Kitana and no Wonder Woman? Hmm...I hope this list is true, then I'll have no reason to buy this game at all.

Who says this is the COMPLETE list? They just say these are the characters confirmed.... so far. If they're shooting for 22 characters, they have some wiggle room to add a few more.

Personally, I'm happy they're not going with OBVIOUS characters. I really prefer more of the "B-list" characters than the "A-list" overexposed ones. Martian Manhunter deserves more respect than nearly anyone gives him.

I think that, mainly, they're really diversifying the selection. Yes, Kitana is iconic, and so is Mileena, but would the two work together to expand the franchise more or less than Mileena with Sindel? I sort of prefer the latter.

Poison Ivy is an interesting choice. She's unexpected, relatively popular, but already I can see her having some very creative, original moves at her disposal. I wouldn't have picked her, which may make her inclusion inspired or insane.

Holy shatballs people... There are only 12 characters listed... that leaves 4 to 5 more characters for each MK and DC left... Why are you already freaking out? I think thats a good list so far! Im glad they are including Martian Manhunter. He has a different visual look than everyone else so atleast all the characters arent going to look the same!

Remember Boon has been quoted saying that there will be around 22 characters this time around... He also said he is picking the iconic good and bad guys... that being said there isnt room for every iconic good AND bad guy from the series, which would explain why Mileena might make the cut instead of Kitana... atleast one of them is there to represent that part of MK history.

Liu Kang's dead. But if they bring him back alive, he's absolutely "the" good guy on the MK side.

Scorpion's the neutral or evil character.

Sindel has been good and evil, so she'd have to be more wicked-looking than Sonya or Kitana to be considered a bigger "good-girl" icon. If she's the evil Sindel in this game, that'd almost cancel herself, or Mileena out.

Mileena's a "bad-girl" hands down.

This is too odd a list right off. And whether there are 4 or 5 more slots still open, there are more men that are bigger icons, than the women left to consider on either side.

For DC, there's no way in hell Wonder Woman doesn't make it. She's as big as it gets for women over there. All the men that are there are fine so far. They don't have any neutral or bad guys yet though

I realize that's not the full roster, but the odds they'll put Mileena, Sindel, AND Kitana in the game seems very unlikely. If another MK woman makes it in, it'll probably be Sonya.

My interest in this game was very thin from the start. No Kitana....NO INTEREST. Sorry.

Sindel and Mileena over Kitana? Nooooo waaaaay I know queve always puts Kitana down, but you can't deny she's among the most iconic and popular female characters! For example it's Kitana who's the only playable female in MKSM, not Sonya and Mileena, duuuh!

Kitana, Sonya and Mileena are the 3 most popular female characters in MK, all 3 will be in this game.

And all I know is REPTILE better make the cut, or I have no reason to buy the game. And im not alone, there is tons of Reptile fans.

And of course we will get Raiden and non-dead Liu Kang.
