You know, if we were still on MK2 or so, i might debate with you, but it's cannon, and not something I'd want to change at this point.

Furthermore, I kinda like the fact that it's not part of him, it makes it a little darker and grittier because its SLIGHTLY more realistic that way, IMO.

I don't know if it should be the living creature spear, but I like how it was in the early MK's. I find the rope to big now..it can be much thinner.

Hell-lizard-snakey-hand probably makes a good deal of sense, but I always warmed more to the notion of the spectre powers enhancing Scorpion's pre-existing skills. I like the vaguely practical qualities moreso than the gimmicks.

That's official artwork from MKD, same with another similar MKDA artwork; It looks like he's shooting it out from his hand.

However his spear looks attached to his body on some of his designs...So i guess the designers aren't too sure themselves.

Real men throw spears; they don't shoot dildos out of their palms.


Seriously, how much more satisfying is it going to be when you use your strength and twist of the body to hurl a spear and skillfully enough to nail the opponent in the chest, compared to just going "mental command: hell snake extend!" right?

The snake thing is stupid. Its a lot cooler with a rope dart inside his body, and he shoots it out.

Snakes don't even have anything to friggin' do with scorpions. The spear is supposed to be a metaphor for a stinging tail. Plus the kunai is a classic ninja weapon.

okay I agree with what BaoShing said. I didn't exactly mean 'Snake' of course...I was just trying to describe it. I just think that he should havea spear or Somthing that shot from his hand. and not have to carry around the spear like some normal man would.

Really I'm not for the 'Snake'. I would just like to see the Kunai come from his hand like the movie. that's alot cooler.

Canonically, though he wears the kunai on his body, the ROPE that the kunai is tied to comes out of a hole in the palm of his hand supernaturally.

So everybody wins.

actually if it came out of his hand it would make it seem like his power was just that. but when you actually carry a real spear attatched to a chain/rope or w/e, it really is a weapon, and thats what the spear move for scorpion is, its not a power but more of a weapon, and if it came out of his hand traditionally, then itd kind of ruin it and not make it feel so cool. i mean like would it be cooler to have a bow and arrow and shoot it or have arrow things shoot out of your hand? so again, its cooler because its more of his personal weapon rather than a power he has. the firey hell thing is his power. im glad his spear is an actual weapon he wields and throws.

it could be like mortal kombat konquest where scorpion has the spear on the rope inside his sleeve and shoots out the entrance of his sleeve going right under wrist, kinda like spider man except the spear isnt coming out of his wrist but out of the sleeve through a hole.

Anyway, I agree that he should have that living demonic spear that came from his own body like in the Mortal Kombat movie.

Personally, I think the idea of Scorpion physically throwing a spear at his opponents...and being able to hit them because he's that damn good at it...is much cooler than some idiotic creature living in his hand chasing people down.

The living "spear" was just another useless idea from a mediocre film that should never be incorporated into the canon.

This is from MK:DA. This shows that they did not want for Scorpion to have a living spear within his arm. His preferred weapon as a ninja was his kunai tied to a rope, so why mess with it now.
