This game has more characters that I'm interested in than any MK ever, and I've been a fan since MK2. So hyped to play this game!

You may be right about this. I think i will have more mains in this game than any other mk ever.

I'm a roster slut, I'll main them all. But if Sonya's in the game, she'll be top dog.

Definitely Kano, since he's been my favorite for a while now, but since Stryker, Cyrax, Noob Saibot and Rain are nowhere to be found, it seems like I'll have to find new blood.

As for who I won't touch... well it'll all depend on how they play. Never been a big fan of large characters so Ferra/Tor is probably the last one on my list, but I'llstill give them a try. The beauty of variations is that I might end up rocking Ferra/Tor with a variation and like them much more than Kano.

Like others have said, I'll try everyone at least once...but I'll most likely be maining Ermac, Kenshi, and Mileena assuming she's playable.

I wanted to main Ermac again but the floating is just too lame. I'll probably stick with Reptile or see what Kano and Kotal have to work with.

Never going to touch Cassie. Absolutely awful character.

1. Jax - I liked him in MK2 and MK3, but the charm slowly faded away starting with MK4.

2. Shinnok - hated his unoriginal moves in MK4, and his MKA appearance was even more uninspired. Still hoping for his total reimagining (is this a word?) in MKX.

3. Ferra/Torr - I'm interested only in the Vicious variation. The other two, hell NO!

4. Quan Chi - I loved him in every installment of the franchise, except for MK9. And he's gonna alienate me even more in MKX, but I'd be glad to be proven wrong.

5. Jacqui - oh, girl, why did you have to be Jax's daughter and why did they give you daddy's backup arm enhancements? So unoriginal and dead on arrival. But once again I'll be the happiest girl, if the game proves me wrong.

Raiden is my main and SZ is the only character that I will be ignoring.

Hard to say without playing the game, really dont like the look of ermac, his best combinations seem to start with that move where he suspends people in mid air looks hard to use.
Really dont like reptile either bet hes low tier, Kitana looks really really good she seems to have a great move set, also really liking the look of kano in this game.

Gameplay wise the characters who have impressed me the most so far are Raiden and Kano.

I've never really had a main in a fighting game. I like playing as everyone.

One does not simply name themselves Ferratorr and not use ferra/torr as their main.

Well, I've mained Subby from the beginning so I highly doubt that will change. I've been more curious of characters in this game than any prior mk. I'll play everyone first and whittle my way down to a group of mains.

Mk9 was Subby (yes even after the nerfs), Johnny, Kabal, and Ermac.

Aside from Sub-Zero, promising characters for me look to be:
D'Vorah, Ermac, Cassie, Kotal, Ferra/Torr, I'm hoping Fujin makes the cut though, or is at least dlc.

Who I'm not touching: Not applicable. I'm playing everyone. I have sort of a ritual when it comes to mk. Once I pass the start screen it's straight to options to tweak things if necessary. Then I'll run down each menu option, click it and see what's underneath. After I'm done exploring I'll go to the lab with Sub-Zero and begin working through each character to see who feels right for me. That's probably the first two days right there. Then maybe some story mode or some extended time with the characters I've whittled down to as I start working on some bnbs and marking them in my notebook.

Lots of players that I'm into right now. In order:

(1) Kitana (Top 3 all time)

(2) D'Vorah (Everything about her draws me to her. Her appearance, voice, catwomen-like gameplay... it just hooked me from day 1.)

(3) Cassie (She's just so damn kool)

(4) Sonya (Since she's looking highly likely, and she was my main in MK9).

(5) Ermac (Also a top 3 favorite. Just not sure about his gameplay this time around)

(6) Sub-Zero (His variations look really interesting)

Won't be touching:

(1) Ferra/Torr (Still my least favorite newcomer. Although their growing on me)

(2) Jax (Looks like he might be in. Never liked his playstyle)

(3) Kung Jin (Don't really know why, just know I won't ever play him).

Scorpion and ermac for me at this stage and am definately interested in Kotal, Erron black (if playable) and Goro.

I won't touch; Sonya, johnny cage, Jax and jacqui never liked any of those three to begin and jacqui doesn't interest me in the slightest!

As usual I will be maining Sonya and kicking people's asses online.

I usually play everyone at least once, like Daryui said to get the arcade endings. If I like them I'll continue to use them sometimes on the arcade ladder or online just bullshitting. I loved learning characters in MK9, mostly everyone was a lot of fun to play and learn. To this day I can random select and use everyone pretty well. The only characters I fucking hated to use honestly were probably only Cyber-Sub and Sindel. Both just felt so awkward in MK9 especially Cyber Sub. He just felt incomplete and his inputs were fucking annoying, like he had a string (3, 2) so when I would dash up and try to do this string I would get one of his bombs due to his shit commands. Pissed me off so much everytime lol

Looks like i'll be learning everyone this time around as well, but I will definitely put my focus into only about 3 characters for awhile. After I do feel like i've mastered those though I will definitely try out some of the others like Kano. He looks so fucking great honestly, his eye lazers look like a lot of fun and his grab variation looks like it's going to be frustrating as hell to fight. This has the best he's ever looked gameplay wise, he seriously looks like a fucking blast. Same with Quan Chi! He's never had that much variety in MK4 or MK9 but he has so much shit this time around, I love it. Can't wait to see all the set-ups and shit people come up with.
