Exactly, MKDA and MKD were fun games and imo are some of the bright spots in the series, especially as far as story goes, MK lore was at its peak during that time(Well before Armageddon came along with it's choppy lazy "run up a pyramid" plot.) People are just throwing those games under the bus because now we're living on top of the world I guess you can say with Warner Bros! But we still owe a lot to Deadly Alliance and Deception as they definitely kept the MK name out there and successful during the 2000s.

Exactly. I'd love to see what DA and D would have been in a studio where they had time to develop things and not rush them out to support a dying company. If there was an MKG-MKU HD release or even just a re-release on either next gen or last gen, I'd pay through the nose for it

Keeping it real, the 3D era (MKDA-MKA) is where MK got stagnant, It was basically all the same not so great rushed out the door game.

Yeah, there were new characters, but they had zero individuality, their broken and clunky movesets were lifted straight from another character on the last game. It actually got progressively worse with each title...

To call MK9 and MKX rehashes? Where everything is built from the ground up and in actual quality? Come on.

OP I agree that some of the MKDA-MKA era characters need more love like Fujin, tanya, reiko, Bo rai cho Sereena and others. But I love the mk 1-3 fighters so if you can't appreciate both eras then give up cause I love MK all of it. Even characters I don't like deserve love cause someone likes them

I empathize with OP, these last reveals made me a little bitter about the wasted potential of a decent storyline. However, I received some great advice from some level-headed users in another thread about getting over the fact the story will never be MK's strong point, no matter its potential. In the end, it's a fighting game and it's better to not take the writing so seriously since it will only ruin your game experience.

Although that doesn't mean we shouldn't question nor discuss our views on NRS creative and writing direction. There's always room for improvement in every area., and blind fanboyism doesn't help at all.

I'm a Sektor fan but you don't see me bitching and acting like a babe because he hasn't been confirmed yet or hell he may get skipped over again. I'm just waiting for Sub-Zero to defeat him and regain the clan from him because let's face it, Sektor doesn't win against Cyrax or Sub-Zero. I've came to terms with that fact. Plus during Injustice, I hoped and prayed for Gorilla Grodd to be playable but he wasn't so I just started looking forward to him being playable in Injustice 2!

Personally, any discussion despite how asinine it may seem is still a discussion. People are allowed to not like a game, bitch or complain about something they don't like. If they feel moved to post it, why not reply to it and argue it?
