Would Mileenas childish personality fit Skarlet?
Mileena wasn't always a woman-child. She appeared pretty mature in both her and Kitana's MKG endings, as well as her first-person MKD bios.
Skarlet as of now has pretty much no potential as a character beyond being an enforcer (which, in the MK universe, equates to being a jobber), so why not give her Mileena's childish personality? Mileena herself could return with a more mature personality, or eventually develop one.
I have this idea of Skarlet becoming lost and confused without Shao Kahn to give her orders, and being forced to think for herself for the first time in her existence. Unlike the cyborgs, she wouldn't have any "humanity" to regain. She'd be like a child, albeit a blood-thirsty one.
She shouldn't even be someone's lackey, but just wander around aimlessly killing everyone she comes across just for the fun of it. She'd be a threat to both the heroes and the villains.
Now, I realize this would get stale if that was always her storyline from now on, but just for a second appearance, it'd be a start in giving her an actual character, imo.

I would much rather have skarlet go nitara's route. Have her find out about her origin maybe have something that wrote her destiny. It'd be dumb if she was a flesh pits creation from the use of Kitana's blood to create mileena. But I doubt it.

Scarlet doesn't need Mileena's personality.
That would actually make her more of a less-likable character since a lot of people hate Mileena's child-like behavior now.

Well you see, I wonder if it isn't because Mileena wasn't like that prior to MK9. Whereas Skarlet is pretty much a blank, personality-wise. Are fans as attached to Skarlet's non-personality as they were to Mileena's character prior to MK9?

I like what you're talking about with Mileena, and I really like the idea of Skarlett wandering aimlessley, being a threat to both heroes and villains, but I don't like the childish personality from Mileena or the idea of it being transferred to any other character.
To me, it's just off-putting seeing a fully developed woman that clearly looks like she's past 20 acting like a 4 year old. It's not sexy, it's not strange in a good way. I think with Mileena, if anything, it was NRS trying to convey that she'd just been "born" and trying to quickly segway in to her being this sexualized assassin and it all just kinda came out weird and jumbled together and I personally didn't think it worked very well.

Great call here. This is the kind of story I'd like to see Skarlett have and I think that NRS could pull this off and make her more compelling and give her more to do.
Maybe she's wandering Outworld, searching for a new master or for her purpose and as Shao Khan's hold on her vanishes over time, she starts to lose her bloodlust and maybe some event, like a village she's wandering through, gets attacked, and she feels compelled to defend the helpless people and it gets her involved in a larger story.
Bo Rai Cho sees her battling and sees that she's no longer just a creation of evil, but something that somehow has a soul. Maybe he takes her as his new pupil and helps give her a purpose. Maybe she becomes the hero that Outworld's never really had.
Perhaps in her darkest hour, when her instincts overwhelm her newfound reason and she does something horrible, Bo Rai Cho shows her a tablet that fortells the coming of living blood and the destiny that awaits this being, and the hardships it must overcome, etc.
I dunno, I'm just spitballing here. I think that there's plenty of ways to fit this in to a larger plot, and I said a while back that a Skarlett not controlled by Khan could make for a very interesting character. Wish Boon agreed. Hasn't she already been deconfirmed?

I would prefer to pass on that one. I do hope Mileena grows out of the childish personality a bit, but I don't know how well it would fit Skarlet. I just picture he as a silent killer who probably doesn't giggle or dance around too much.

Nope. I see her acting a bit more like Scorpion

Well to be fair, she was DLC and did not really have a chance to become anything. Id like her to return and be a bloodthirsty psycho. But not childish.
Nothing to do with Skarlet's personality, but I had this idea of Skarlet being redesigned as a literally bloody character. She should be like a bloody version of the Water Elemental.
If not her primary or alt, she could look like that for one of her variants, and she'd gain Meat's bloodport and bloody slide for her moveset.
It's amazing how promising the character actually seems, now. I used to think she didn't have much potential, but not anymore.

Skarlet must stay with distinctive apparel. There is no point having her with a blood elemental look because she is literally, not a god (like the one's from MKSZM). Nothing at all visually enticing about that water god either.

Why give someone like Skarlet a childish personality, when we already have Cassie whom has one of her own.

No. We don't need someone else's personality on an already uninspired fan-service character.
(On a side note, why do punctuation marks not work in thread titles?)

Just because she's not a god doesn't she can't look like she's literally made of blood (which is the case). The idea is that she can both liquidize and solidify herself, LIKE the water elemental, not that she's a blood elemental.
Anyway, as a literally bloody being, I think that when moving, she should liquidize herself into a bloody puddle a la T-1000 or Glacius. She shouldn't be hittable in that state, but she also shouldn't be able to attack until she stops moving and solidifies.

You mean like Blaze (the only known MK elemental), just different abilities. That's nothing new, Skarlet kind of changes her physical form like that already. She did something similar, before her matches in MK2011.
Her mission was to keep an eye on Quan Chi, as Shao Kahn believed that he would eventually betray him.
So...could Skarlet eventually join the good guys in order to get closer to her target? Also, I could maybe see her joining Kotal Kahn since he's a blood god and all...

Nah.
Hell, Mileena's childish personality doesn't even fit Mileena. I much prefer a more eccentric personality. Kinda like 1 part Poison Ivy, 1 part Harley Quinn. She is her own BFF.
I dont think we saw enough of Mileena in MK9 to truly judge though, I mean the "shes going away..." to Jade in story mode was perfect though.
As for Skarlet the way she yells and screams makes me think she is just naturally aggressive. The sort of girl who would be stabbing your eyes out as you were ripping out her heart.
Mortal Kombat doesn't affect minds. NOT AT ALL.

I prefer Skarlet to be her own character like they tried to do on MK9. If she returns I hope she is a mature mannered woman made of blood who wants revenge on her creators for manipulating her.
