While I agree that they are a bit bland, creating dozens of slightly different animations would take a lot more time than a few dozen lines of audio.
In that case, the least they could have done is create better dialogue for the other characters. Like:
Erron Black: Blowing out your brains will be a challenge.
The Johnny one in my OP about bad slasher movies.
Jax: I won't be your first victim. Nor your last.
Jax: Are you related to that cannibal freak?
Unstoppable/relentless Jason Vs Sonya
Sonya: Run back to your mommy.
Jason pulls out that knife.
Sonya: Oh wait she's dead, isn't she?
But personally, I liked both of Shinnok's intros against Jason, Tanya's one about Torr killing Ferra, and Goro's "You!" one, so they didn't completely fuck up on Jason's intros, at least.
