In MK9 it was Kitana and Sektor. Kitana looks like she's retained some of her MK9 moveset, with some fresh new stuff as well, so I'll definately be looking to practice with her again. As for others, I'm going to try everyone and just see who feels right for me.

In order my top 3 would be,
1. Kotal Kahn
2. Scorpion
3. Reptile
and Cassie Cage gets an honorable mention.

Reptile for sure, he looks amazing this time around, I can't wait to give him a try. Other than that I gotta say Sub-Zero, he looks much more aggressive then he was in MK9.

To add on to my other post, I could see myself playing as Torr, in the variation where Ferra is just chilling on the sideline.

Honest to god, I don't know. I suppose I'll need to play them first...
My mains actually aren't always my favorite characters. I love Mileena, for instance, but I find her kind of clunky to fight with. She's not my best.
I floated in MK1 between Sub-Zero and Liu Kang. I want to say I dabbled with Scorpion too, but honestly it's been so long I don't remember.
I used mostly Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and Mileena in MKII. I feel like I played them to different niches though. I found I played better in different situations with each one (depending on who I was fighting)
I used mostly Sub-Zero and Sektor in Vanilla MK3, and Noob in MKT or console versions of UMK3.
I didn't play 4 enough to ever develop a main. Just gave it the one go through for each character to see their ending, then didn't replay much.
In MKDA, I mained mostly Nitara, Li Mei and Frost. 3 new ladies, all of which I enjoyed lol...
In Deception and Armageddon I don't think I ever really found a niche with anyone. In MKD, I dabbled with Kira a lot, I remember. But again, I think I just gave everyone's story the one go and mostly stopped.
And in MK9 I mained Cyrax and occasionally Scorpion. I felt like I finally understood all those people who mained Cyrax in MK3. I was like, "Ohhh... I get it now." lol...
So yeah. I was never really fond of Sub-Zero or Scorpion, but used them a lot. And while I love Mileena, I don't often play her extensively.
Kinda just depends who I find my groove with each game... and I don't find that groove til I start playing it.
It doesn't help that the fighters in these games rarely have the same movesets, unless they're the very iconic characters. In Street Fighter, Ryu is Ryu is Ryu... in every game. Guys in SFIV played the same as SFII (at least to my casual understanding. I'm sure tournament level skill would disagree, but that's not me) ... wheras in this series... a guy like Noob plays absolutely nothing in one game like he did in the last.

Still not sure atm. Out of the characters we have seen gameplay from at this point, its between Scorpion, Ermac, Reptile, and Cassie. It's hard for me to pick since I haven't played the game yet.

Honestly so far it is subby.
I want to see more of reptile first, but cryomancer variation just looks so fun.
But I never main 1 person anyway so my mains so far will be
Reptile
subby
Ermac

My main was Scorpion right after the game was announced. Sounds lame but it's the truth, he's an automatic lol. I'll be using all 3 variations with Hellfire probably being the most.
As far as other potential mains hmmmm, I'm going with:
Kung Lao- he's supper quick so him for sure
Sub-Zero- those variations! Especially ice clone throw!? A must!
Rainden- that Displacement variation! Also a must!
Reptile- he looks leagues better than his MK9 self and is one of my favorite characters.
As you can see, I'm loving a lot of them so this list can definitely get longer.
