I can't be the only one who found Shinnok scary after that scene.

"Now the pitious mortals of Earth will pay for my grievance"

"But it's too late Raiden! I win!"

"I can already feel my power, surging from within!"

And of course his diabolical laughter before he kills Raiden. I have such fond memories of his MK4 voice, and the way he said all the aforementioned quotes. Just what is it people didn't like about that voice, anyway?

Personally no because it won't fit him now. I personally want the person who voiced him at the end of the MK9 story mode to voice him again. If we get Fujin as a playable character I hope that Liam O'Brien who voices Gaara and Ukatake is his voice actor.

That line he says to Reptile is badass, but dear God please don't bring back MK4 voice acting!

If we can have someone do that voice while being a competent voice actor, than fuck yes.

I wish they had hired someone who could do the Steve Ritchie voice for Kahn, but deliver lines naturally.

That quiet, ominous, confident, booming, yet relaxed voice Kahn had in MK2/3 was infinitely better than the generic warlord voice in MK:A, MKvsDC, and MK2011.

Personally though, I always thought Shinnok's best aesthetic was being that creepy old motherfucker he appeared to be in Mythologies. Sareena falling over and Sub-Zero looking up to just see that old bastard smiling smugly was probably the creepiest thing in MK.

I agree about the Shao Kahn voice, in the original trilogy he has a very strong and intimidating voice, in MK 9 he sounds just like another brute.

Shinnok's voice in MK4 is the exact opposite of menacing. So unless NRS wants to transform Shinnok into a walking, talking joke, MK4-style, "No damns given about quality," voice acting should have no place in this MK game or future MK games.

In my opinion, no thanks with bringing back the hokey Shinnok MK4 voice. Sounded hokey back then and it definitely wouldn't work today with all the professional voice actors doing an outstanding job bringing all these characters to life. The voice he had at the end of MK9 was awesome and I hope they use the same voice actor for him in MKX.
