I don't think Reptile should really return. I'd rather just have him with a happy ending or something.

I do not.. dont get me wrong.. I like reptile.. I just dont think hes needed to advance the story.. if they are taking the game in a new direction I think they should keep him alive, but not in the game.. he should get some kinda happy ending. have him be with khameleon. possibly keep her in the game instead. I think it would be important to have one of their race in the game for a little nostalgia, but keeping up with wiping the slate clean, i think they should have Khameleon in the game instead of reptile

He should definitely come back. He's the best animal character.

I would go with a fresher approach with the return of Reptile. To reinvent the series I'd have the plot of the next Mortal Kombat take place in a new generation. So the characters we grew up with and loved while growing up are now legendary heroes of the past. Liu Kang becoming a great legend just like how Kung Lao was before him. In MK8 I would have another character from Reptile's race. Reptile would be remembered as being the savior to the survivor of his species. Like in the aftermath of Armageddon in the Epilouge of all the destruction Reptile survived and with Khameleon brought forth new life to his race by concieving children with Khameleon and the character you play as is a direct descendant of Reptile who exists 500 years after Reptile and Khamelon's time. This character could enter the new Mortal Kombat tournament to secure a safe haven for his fragile and recovering race and instead of being an evil character like Reptile was this new character could actually be noble and bear some resemblance to the Reptile we all love.

*Raises Hand* Reptile is one of the good characters, that can depend on their own moves and story line, some of the other characters are just too common, or dumb.

The only way I would want Reptile back is in his human form. The reason is because there might be a Female Zetterian coming in mk8. So Reptile being human, can be a good thing. Reptile could be her mentor and master. Reptile's story will go on for a long time!

He should come back as his MK2/MK3 form but have more of a leadership role instead as a servant.

Yeah, he should return! He should have his Shaolin Monks Costume, but his mask should be like Scorpion's or Sub-Zero's, with that thing that covers their mouths...and have spikes on his shoulder pads...He's a really cool character, and has great potentail!

And his story...Reptile's one of those characters who i feel has been treated like crap! In MK3, he gets his ass kicked by Jade and Kitana, in 4, he gets betrayed by Quan Chi and killed by Shinnok, and in DA, he is betrayed by Nitara, beaten up by Cyrax, and his body is used as a vessel for Onaga...and in MKD he gets impaled by a Kwan Dao...poor guy, give him a break!!!

He should start like his own clan or something, cause he's been mostly everyone's bit** thourhgout, it would be cool to see him stand uop for himself for once!
