I like them all to an extent, much more than let us say 3D era characters.

I am going with Takeda just because he has strong connection to the two coolest characters in Mortal Kombat in my opinion.

Kotal Kahn is a close second though.

Definitely Cassie, by far. I also like the look of Kotal Kahn, Takeda, and Terra/Forr.

wont agree with that, the different is that all this newbies received especial treatment, more info about them and bigger budget and better visuals.

but im pretty sure that reiko, shinnok, fujin, tanya, frost, sareena, havik, drahmin,
and a few more, could compete with this newbies

a lot of them are not very original either.

most of them resemble their parents,

so i would say that the best looking ones and original are Kotal and D'vora.

Kotal Kahn and Erron Black do it for me. Plus, Kotal rode into battle on the back of a fucking T-Rex. It doesn't get anymore bad ass than that.

Loving Cassie's smart ass attitude, too.

My favorite newbie is Kotal Kahn for sure. I love his look and he's a badass to boot. Dude rides a t-rex into battle like a boss.

Kotal by a country mile. Cassie is a distant second.

From what I've seen, Kotal Kahn is my favorite by far followed by Takeda. I really dig the mask, the two whips or whatever they are, and the whole Solid Snake-ish look. D'Vorah and Ferra/Torr are also on my Epic List.

Kung Jin is kind of meh.. Seems like an OK character. I would have much prefered a samurai type character instead. Cassie has grown on me a little, but still an average character. At least she's dressed for combat.

Jacqui or however it's spelled is a waste of space. Don't like anything about her, at all. Same goes for Erron Black: overrated. At least design-wise.

Erron Black is my boy. I love that Cowboy Outlandish look. Takeda is 2nd love the Whiplash characteristics.

Newbies look pretty interesting.

Jacqui- looks like the tall skinny grove sister from Proud Family.
I hope she's not as agitated and angry as she looks, if she's a real sensitive sweet heart then I'll like her more. If she plays anything like Jax then Ed will make the mistake of adding him into the roster with him, double character types is a waste

Takeda- imo, looks pretty hot, lol, very strong looking too.

Erron Black- looks like the what if mavado, a Cowboy matador type character might be fun to play with.

Kun Jin - This one might be taking the mantle of Nightwolf, with his own twist of archery.

D'Vorah - Not that big on her, I might play a few rounds with her

Ferra Torr - Same as D'Vorah, just a tid bit more interesting, if I was a guy I'd might nail Ferra lol, I have some lesbian tendencies with shorter stocky women.

Kotal - Same as the last two, but I find that he's not as crooked as Shao Khan to be refreshing, if he's actually a good guy, or thinks he's a good guy and is very reasonable and merciful then he will be one of my tops, it's about time Outworld gets a "nice" ruler

Characters I hope make it in

Li Mei (yours truly) - My favorite out of all the females, most may call her bland but that goes for most of the other females, with better characterization she might win everyone's hearts, I just hope she keeps the trademark hat look, very stilish

Rain - The purple prince of water needs some canon screen time, DLC simply doesn't cut it, since it's not part of story directly, he barley got featured in many games and I'm sure most would agree that needs to change.

Mavado - If Erron isn't a Mavado replacement like I'm speculating here then I think he'd do well on here, is rope moves could prove intriguing and more varied than just swords.... plus at face value he's kinda hot

Hotaru - I really like this guy, his personality, his look, his everything, I think he's perfect the way he is, Maybe change his armor design a bit but nothing too drastic to change an already excellent character.

Shujinko - Since Arcade and VS obviously would take place at the 25 year mark Jinko might most likely be dead or too old to fight, but I'd like to see him at least in story mode in his 4/5 age look. Around the beginning of the story

Smoke - I hope to see his pretty hair in some shape and form, since Kitana and Kung Lao are alive and kicking I'm hoping smoke is from the otherside joining them in their new life party.

Fujin- He's a must have, let's be real here

Tanya - Same as fujin

Kai - Same as above

Reiko - He's just got to be in there as well.

If Any of these character's can't be playable, then I'll be happy with them being strictly for story.

1. Kung Jin (I hate the name. It should be just Jin or something. But I'm sure his lines and gameplay are awesome.)

2. D'Vorrah (A fast female character? How can I not like her?)

3. Cassie Cage (Girl's growing on me)

4. Erron Black (Just for the Boba Fett vibe I get from him)

5. Kotal Khan (Story wise he's perfect. Gameplay wise... not sure he fits me.)

6. Ferra/Torr (Thank you Vicious variation.)

7. Takeda (It's like I know nothing about this guy and his gameplay)

8. Jacqui Briggs (same as above)

When I like a character I take in consideration their look, specials, gameplay, alternative, personality and story.

Now, except for Kotal Kahn, we lack infos about many of the characters revealed so I am gonna judge only on the look:

I voted Erron Black because he looks so cool. Unfortunately the speaks, it is a wasted chance for a great mute character.

I left erron black out cause he aint really confirmed yet. But also not really excited about him.

Kotal by far he just oozes awesomeness. In character, moves and story he is miles above the rest. D'Vorah looks interesting and unique. I also like what I've seen of Takeda. The rest look pretty dull but I hope that I'm convinced otherwise once I get my hands on mkx

Cassie Cage would be my number 1. Her personality and playstyle are just so damn good. Plus her intros are hilarious. I can't wait to see how she develops as a character.

Erron Black is my number 2. I know, we don't know shit about him and he wasn't even technically confirmed. But his design though, so fucking badass. A gunslinging desperado type is so fresh in this series. And the gameplay possibilities...

Number 3 is Kotal Kahn. He looks awesome and actually seems to care about Outworld as opposed to just conquering things for the hell of it.

I'm reserving judgement for Takeda, Kung Jin, and Jacqui Briggs. I haven't seen enough of them to know if I like them or not. I will say I am definitely interested in Kung Jin though. Like how he's related to Kung Lao and how they will interact with each other.

I wish Forrest Fox would return, but it seems like VG companies love to have my race acting like loud mouth trash-talking thugs.
