Make better arcade endings, shit. They are all extremely bland so far. If the endings are all "what if" scenarios why not have fun with them or at least make them interesting visually.

I'd do away with these pointless fucking visual aids and give MK full blown customization. Something MK has needed for YEARS.

Some of the costumes in this game are lame. Customization could let us fix or at least make the costumes a little better. Please NRS, invest in customization!


I'm with you. Totally. Been saying this for years myself. MK borrows from a lot of existing games...borrowing a costume design tool would NOT be a bad thing. And I'm not counting the crappy character creator from Armageddon...ugh.



I absolutely agree. I want to keep Reptiles mask and go with the least cheap variation, but that variation removes it :/

Mine's simple; I would've just expanded the roster a bit. Not take anyone out, just add a little more flavor based on what we now know from the story.

Good list, but I'd like Sareena & Frost in the main roster so that they would have alternate costumes and well...dlc characters don't get alternates unless they come out on vita sad

Also MK9 dress code for the females wink...the toned down shit can be their alternates tongue

Challenge tower and mini games like Injustice would have been fun for me.

I also missed the slight rpg style Konquest mode from Deception where you roam around freely and interact with many characters...

and I'd get rid of this mockery known as easy fatalities which charges people money??? WTF is this?! They joy of MK was pulling off the fatalities now they want people to bribe them for it? not cool WB!

oh yeah, Netcode, netcode, netcode! it feels like MK9 all over again. NRS need to talk to those Namco bandai & SF people about this...

I don't get the love for Mk4 characters. I realize it's the story, but the story 's unimportant really.
The best thing to come out of Mk4 was Quan Chi and he's present, along with Shinnock who's better this time but I could live without. Shang Tsung he ain't.

I realize they need to move it on with new characters and this lot are okay.
The women aren't hot enough though, some appearing ugly!

Replace Kitana with Tanya
Replace Kung Lao with Rain
Replace Liu Kang with Fujin

DLC:
Liu Kang, Kung Lao (Shaolin Pack)

Kitana, Sindel (Royal Pack)
Havik, Reiko (Komic Pack)
Tremor, Sareena (Redemption Pack)

Story:

Dvorah and Tanya - I really didn't like how Dvorah was shown to be working with Shinnok. It was very uncharacteristic of her based on what we knew, and just seemed like a poorly written attempt at a shocking plot twist. Plus, her story was essentially Tanya's old story line. If I could re-write the story, I would have made Dvorah a Kotal loyalist, and had Tanya be the one who somehow takes the amulet and is revealed to be working for the Brotherhood all along.

Ferra Torr - I think that they could have been a little more prominent in the story...at least something more than another lackey. I would have given them a short chapter where it is revealed that beneath the childish gibberish, Ferra is actually a ruthless strategist. I would give them a short chapter after Tanya steals the amulet, in which Ferra and Torr pursue her to retrieve it. You'd fight against Rain, Tanya, and finally Quan Chi before they're beaten and return to Kotal.

I would make MK2011 play like MKX. Get rid of the variations, and edit the story a bit.

I'd be satisfied with that.

- Character customization
- Rain and Tanya on disc as playable characters, plus more MK3 and 3D era characters
- A better second fatality for Erron Black. his 2nd fatality is kinda cool, but it was kind of anticlimactic
- More stages
- Better alternates for Reptile, Erron, and D'Vorah
- Make Reptile's "Basilisk" move a little faster so you can actually use it without getting hit before you can even pull it off
- A longer story

- Longer and a bit better presented story (that last two chapters, while mostly good, felt extremely rushed)
- More stages
- Tanya, Rain and Fujin in game from the start

- Make Shinnok's Necromancer variation indicator to be his old green eyes, just glowing this time, so it can be seen better..

- Give Liu Kang WAY more time in the story and present him as great threat.
He is the greatest weapon that Shinnok has and they didn't used him properly at all.

And make HIM in revenant costume a sub-boss instead of Goro. No need for big character to be sub-boss, we had Noob-Smoke before and it was cool..

Eliminate or redo some character's variations because some just add one or two new moves that could've been 'regular' special moves. Like Mileena's ethereal variation should've been mashed together with the piercing variation because the only unique ability she gets is teleporting forward, back, or still. I still dont know how thats useful lol unless you're playing with a noob.

And the klassic tower endings....I get that most of them are non canon but some are plain dumb and make me feel like I wasted my 10-15 min. Kitana's ending come to mind, like she gets a vision about the old timeline and how shes Edenia's ruler then her vision is over and it shows how she is now a revenant lol. I felt that was kinda pointless since the audience knew that already.

I think they should just start making endings that actually have relevance to the game's story and stop with these cliff hanging "what if" endings.

I love the game but the variation system is extremely flawed IMO.

Like it's been already mentioned, it literally adds a move on two and the regular moveset in many cases has been reduced. So it literally comes down to ''Do I want this variation because of of the parry move or this other variation because of the extra projectile?''

I mean they marketed the whole thing as adding more versatility to characters when it actuality I find it's actually more restrictive than anything.
1. Def 30 kharacters
2.changed a few fatalities like reptiles head split n acid bath. I would rather him squash their head n the other spit acid on them n watch their skin melt
3.stage fatalities!!! Staple of the franchise left out is bs
4.more stages n even had mk9 stages to be unlocked
5.brought back test your sight
6.chess n puzzle kombat would of been amazing in this generation
7.Friendships gone wrong. Kitanas cake would blow up
8.Hara Kiris instead of quitalities
9.Had MK4 gold in the krypt for a very steep price
10. Released MKX mobile on Android on time. I still cant play it

Add more characters to the roster; Fujin, Tanya, Rain, Reiko, Smoke, hell even Li Mei. Bring back stage fatalities, more stages, make the story mode longer like 25 chapters and even give the bad guys chapters too. Have Liu Kang, Smoke, Kung Lao become human again so explain the reason why they are human in the roster. As much as I love the parents being playable in this game take Cage, Sonya, and Jax out the roster and just let them have a cameo in the story mode

1. Reduce variations from 3 to 2, but make them very different.

2. Leave Liu Kang and Kitana out entirely (off of roster and story) until the very end, where its revealed where they are and what they are now.

3. Leave Jax and Lung Lao off the roster but keep them as story NPCs and have Jaqui and Kung Jin trying to save them as part of their stories.

4. Leave Goro out and have King Gorbak be relevant in story mode and on the roster and as sub boss.

5. Replace Liu Kang, Kitana, Jax and Kung Lao with Reiko, Noob, Sareena and Fujin and would also add Tanya, Bo Rai Cho, Li Mei and Havik to the main roster, but these four would be hidden character unlockables. Jax, Kung Lao, Tasia, Tremor, Rain and Predator would be DLC.

6. One variation for human ninja Reptile and one for animal Reptile. How is that not obvious?

7. Make Ermac look WAY less like an Injustice character.

8. Add at least one stage fatality.

9. Add about eight more backgrounds.

10. Unless you can get actual worthwhile stuff, there's zero point to Faction Wars. It feels pointless. Ditch it or create some worthwhile rewards.

11. No more what-if endings PLEASE. What is the point of them? Why not use that time to further flesh out what the character did or might do or whatever?

12. Netcode is awful. Doing combos is more or less impossible.

Completelly agreed on those 4, especially on 1.

I have a feeling that for lot of characters 3rd variation is really tacked on , lackluster, and wont be used that often. (Shotgun Jacquie, Shaolin Kung Jin...)

I hope that for next MK they will stick with only 2 variations per character and make them very distinct.

That would, also, bring hope for Frost's return, because 4 ice based variations are easier to make up instead of 6. grin

Add Sindel, Jade, Nightwolf, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Sektor, Stryker, Shang Tsung, Baraka, Kabal, Sheeva, Rain, Fujin, Sareena, Tanya, Goro, Motaro, Shao Kahn and other characters to the roster.

Add Tag Team Mode.

Add Challenge Mode.

Add a Store.

Add more Arenas.

Add Stage Fatalities.

Add more Character Interactions.

Add more Alternate Costumes.

Change the game’s name to Mortal Kombat.

Change the story to consist of a rebooted version of Shang Tsung’s tournament leading into Shao Kahn’s invasion of Earthrealm leading into Shinnok’s invasion of Earthrealm and Outworld.

Change Story Mode to consist of a ladder of fights for each character with vignettes at the beginning and end of the ladder and between each fight in the same style as Character Endings.

Change Shinnok to be taller.

Change Corrupted Shinnok to be harder.

Change some gameplay.

Change some visuals.

Change some audio.

Remove Takeda, Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Kung Jin, Erron Black, Kotal Kahn, Ferra/Torr, D’Vorah, Jason Voorhees and Predator from the roster.

Remove Character Variations.

Remove Character Endings.

Remove Factions Mode.

Remove Brutalities.

Remove Quitalities.

Remove Living Towers.

Remove the Krypt.

It's crazy how so many people are in agreement about the same things. It makes me say "what was NRS thinking?" In a lot of cases. I'll reiterate and some of my own.

I would: get rid of Shinnok's necremancer skeleton arms.
Fix Johnny Cage (fix his face, use MK9 voice actor, lose the sleeveless hoodie outfit).
Ninja alts for Ermac and Reptile.
Diversify the kombat kids, they all have the same background (descendants), are all in special forces, and all have the same personality.
The character intros imo get old fast, it's essentially remark- response- punchline. Don't follow the same formula everytime.
A better told story in storymode.
Stage fatalities.
No Corrupted Shinnok, it's a bad design with one spam move.
Drop Goro, Kano, and some of the parent characters or some of the kids frankly.
Add Fujin, Rain, Reiko, and any number of characters from story mode.
Variations only for characters that need it or two variations per character.
And lastly, drop guest characters. I don't honestly get the appeal of them and they take up roster space for characters that actually belong in the game.
