1) I can't shake the feeling of knowing that either Reptile, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, or even Erron Black if he makes it in will be the punching bag but what if they all actually serve important roles in the story?... As in have boss like statuses throughout the story.
2) The fight intros are what if situations so does that mean Sub Zero and Scorpion could put their differences to the side and create an alliance to take down Quan Chi together?
#1 would surprise me far more. I just don't see any of those four characters being the boss or sub-boss on the arcade ladder or story mode, even if they have very important roles. And after seeing Scorpion's ending in MK9, I could totally see Subby and Scorpion getting over their differences and teaming up. Not saying that will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
