Well, the better reason is that MKT is virtually unplayable and UMK3 is the best 2D MK game.

I'm gonna guess that it will include MKDA, MKD and MKA. Just a guess because every other collection on PS2 like Resident Evil Essentials, Medal of Honor Collection and the GTA Collection all feature three of the PS2 titles in one package. The Metal Gear Collection does feature a PSOne title in it I believe.

ONLY arcade games...so i think they will put in MK1,MK2,UMK3,MK4 arcade version with online play.
however if stil in time i suggest Midway to put MK trilogy and Gold instead of UMK3 and MK 4,and improve slightly the gameplay making it faster and without broken/infinites combos.
it's a MUST have for me and the reason why i will buy the PS2 modem to play online

That would suck ass if it was MKDA, MKD, and MKA. Because all 3 are practically the SAME EXACT GAME and Armageddon is both of them combined with a little extra characters minus fatalities and a balanced fighting engine(not like the other 2 did either). If they did the classic MK's like MK1-MK4 that'd be cool, but I already have MK2, MK3, and UMK3 on PS2. If they had MKGold, and a graphically improved and more balanced MK Trilogy Id buy it just for that.

MK4 and MKG... a bit reptitive don't you think?

Well it'd be nice if they updated MKA with the missing backgrounds from MKDA and MKD as well as the alternate costumes. And of course give the characters their fatalities back....... and sure, some would get more than others, and the characters who were in MKA only I guess don't get their own fatalities and are stuck with kreate a fatality.

I personally hope that it collects MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, MKT, MK4 and MK Gold...but thats not too likely. It seems every time a "collection" is released, its nowhere near a decent collection. Actually the Sonic Mega Collection + was pretty damn good. Hopefully Midway will surprise us and it will be a massive collection of MK games. Maybe even include the less than stellar Mythologies and Special Forces games.

My Idea Of MKK:

Mortal Kombat Gold(but fixed with NO bugs)
Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance
Mortal Kombat Deception
Mortal Kombat Armageddon
Mortal Kombat VS. Dc Universe

Mortal Kombat 2
Mortal Kombat 3
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Wow, I had a feeling that once I had ordered a Dreamcast to play the closest version to an Arcade Perfect Mortal Kombat 4.. Anyway, I've been saying they should've done this SO LONG AGO when they came out with MK 1, 2, 3, and Ultimate 3 in their Arcade versions..

*prays it has Trilogy with online play and is at least slightly more HQ than the PS1 release*

i just want mk1-mk4 (i've never played gold, and really don't care to) and mkmsz. that would be cool. i hope the AI isn't so crappy in the arcade games though, that sucked hardcore

TELL ME ABOUT IT. I want Arcade graphics with MKT.
If this is indeed a compilation disc and not simply a repackaging of the past three core MK games, I'd like them to (for once) NOT take the lazy way out and give us some unlockable ports, or some other form of extras that would make this worth obtaining for those of us who already own every MK game.
Just throwing my two cents in as well, but I'm also predicting that it's just a 3-pack of the PS2 MK games, just like a lot of the 3-pack box sets PS2 has been having lately (Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, GTA, etc). It would be great if it was something else, but I guess we'll have to wait and see...

i am hoping it's the following: mk1, mk2, mk3, umk3, trilogy (be sweet if they included the ps1 and n64 versions) mk4 (the arcade version) and mk gold. i seriously hope it's not a da/deception/armageddon bundle. that would be weak.

I have a strong feeling it will be the last 3 games because A)only listed for PS2 B) it's $30, the same price as the gta, moh, nfs, and re compilation packs

I know how I'll be supporting the MK team this year. Now I have something else to hold me over until the next real MK game.

All I know is that they will be making the biggest mistake EVER if this turns out to be MKDA,MKD and MKA.
How to add up how much mk1-mk4 is worth,to me atleast.
MK1=$5
MK2$5
MK3-UMK3=$10
MK4-MKGOLD=$10
Thats the total of $30 if they werent going to include MKT,MKSF and MKMSZ.

Isn't that basically Armageddon?

no. it'd be all three games on separate discs in one big box.. Several Companies have released games collections like that for Metal Gear Sold, Call of Duty, and WWE SmackDown vs RAW.(to name a few off hand)

This game should be MK1-MK:DA if you ask me and ONLINE would be a freaking insanely, great bonus.
Or at least on some of them, the insanely popular and great MK's like MK, MK2, UMK3 and maybe MK4 definitely MK:DA. This game should have been online.
I'd rather have MK4 then MKG.

Its only going to be worth it if it has MKGOLD. or MKM and MKSF.
Hopefully its:
* MK 1
* MK 2
* MK 3 (this game has some awesome intro pics and character pics that MKT and MKU dont have), but I guess they wont put MKU and MKT as well, so, I dont know, maybe its just MKT.
* MK G (one can hope!)
* MK M (one can hope!)
* MK SF (one can hope!)

Ah. I read the newsbyte a little literally, assuming it was a 'new game,' meaning a collection would be a single disc.
Is $29.99 not a bit cheap for the three games?
