Hornbuckle is the Name that the fans give to the character that is standig in front of blaze in the pit back in MKll.

He is a palete swap of Liu Kang. The fans named this way because Jade used to jump from time to time in matchs giving hints of what to do to fight the hidden characters, and one time she said just what you said.. Hornbuckle who??

What if Liu is the Dragon King, or ends up leading the Red Dragon as reference to his MKII hack, Red Dragon Fatality?
