We don't need a remake of Sonya/Kano, with Cassie/Kira. Sorry, but NO!

Sorry Kira is just a terrible bland forgettable character.

I think that Kira could work in the next Gen, but I just don't think this is her time. I think she's going to need a total image re-design. Her "thing" was that she was a red-head who fought with dual knives. It sounds an awful lot like Skarlet honestly.

I'd like to see her have a more androgynous image, since we know she likes to disguise herself as a man to do weapons deals. Something like Leo from Tekken. Her variations could show her as something of a weapons master. One variation could be her knives, one could be fire arms, and one could be explosives or something.

She has potential to be something more than "that red head," but I'd rather see A LOT of other characters before she gets her turn.

I kind of like the idea that Cassie Cage inherits the grudge her mother had against Kano. It's cool to actually see a second generation character grow up in this universe. I know for sure Kano is going to be amused knowing that Sonya's daughter is out there and what's the greatest revenge on his rival than to take out her daughter?

What if Kano was the one who took out both Sonya and Johnny Cage? This would leave Cassie pretty bitter and it would only deepen the wounds that Kano started since the start of MK1.

I don't see Kira really being a part of that. If anything her character is above holding grudges, it's all business to her. I think Kano himself is going to be Cassie Cage's Kano, his ego is too big for him to not be that way.

The worst thing that could happen is a Cassie/Kano storyline. Not only is it illogical (how old is Kano going to be after the 25-year jump?), this whole storyline has dragged on for 22 years and definitely hasn't improved with age.

Cassie needs a new, more important threat to deal with in the game and not just be here to serve as a Sonya clone.

You are the weakest link. She bests Kitana by far.

While Kira can easily be redeemed and I would like to see her again, I don't want her to be a rival to Cassie.

Don't hate me but I would like to see this happen it intrigues me.

I doubt that would help either character.

Nothing against Kira but I don't see any point in bringing her back. I would rather see an all new character over her.

I'd like to see Kira redone completely within this new timeline. Maybe make her Cassie's age and maybe at one time a close friend of hers. Maybe go as far as completing basic training together or something.

However maybe the Special Forces don't work out for her; while Cassie goes down the path of her mother, perhaps Kira didn't have a stable parent figure(Which would explain why she clung to Kabal so quickly) to guide her so she chooses her own path.

I do like her intellect and how she "disguised" herself as a man as she sold weapons to terrorists. I believe these elements should remain in her story. And even when she was discovered she was able to battle her way out. Maybe her talents could be seen by another in this timeline, perhaps Mavado? Since Hsu Hao has nearly been written out of cannon, he would be in need of some fresher talent.

But I would NOT want her to have a carbon copy version of Sonya and Kano's storyline.

I think it would be a interesting spin to see Kira conflicted when she's has to face Cassie, not wanting to really kill her former friend. While maybe Cassie is more hard-headed and wants to prove herself and take down the nasty Red/Black Dragon, no matter the costs. It'd be a different take on it, that's for sure.

Kira and Cassie should not be the same as kano and Sonya, but it would be cool for them to be rivals.

I'd like Kira back, but I do not want them to recreate the Sonya/Kano feud with her and Cassie.

Anyways ive seen a credible leak of a few story mode dialog they i guess secretly had printed at one of the past events. I dont recall word for word what it all was, not that it was much anyways, but yes Cassie and Kano appear to have the Sonya/Kano rivalry. And possible hint that yes Kano kills Sonya.

I hope you're ready to be disappointed.
