what arenas should be brought back, and how would you improve or change them.

the graveyard.

how it should return. i think the look of the graveyard should be insanely creepy, something out of a horror movie. the sky could be blackish purple with the full moon in the distance. the arena would be very windy. tombstones would be breakable if knocked into. in the distance you'd hear a howl.

have characters that dont appear in the game on the tombstones. for example r.i.p liu kang defender of earthrealm. possible tiers could be a crypt that leads to a deathtrap where the opponnet gets eaten and ripped apart by zombies. the other tier could be a mosalium or morgue depending where you get struck.

living forest

how it should return. bring back the twisted deranged looks of the trees that moan and groan during the battle. have a platform up in the trees to start out with until knocked off the platform. if knocked off you hit a bunch of branches until you hit the ground. while fighting in the forest have snakes try to bite you and ravens try to peck you.

have 2 deathtraps, 1 being quicksand and the other being the tree's eat you. have characters that don't appear in the game pop up behind the trees similar to mk2 but make it faster.

reptiles lair

how it should return. have it look exactly like it did in mk4 but still have the exploadable eggs from mka. in the background have various sorts of reptilan's attack you if get to close. have reptile hiss before the fight. the eye in the arena should wink at you every 10-12 sec. the death trap should be you get bitten by various venomous snakes.

scorpions lair

how it should return. before the fight you hear scorpion say get over here!! have the look very similar to the 1st mk film. the death trap you get atacked by hundreds of scorpions. the music could have the i stand alone by godsmack for background music in this arena. have there be torches to dim the arena. have various skulls and bones you can throw at your opponnet.

bell tower

how it should return. have every 10 sec the bell ring causing vibrations to temporarily stun both opponnets if they dont block. keep the spikes as a death trap but also add a cement landing similar to mk3 pit. have bats try to attack you when you knock your opponnet into the bell. deep in the background there should be a clocktower that tells you the time.

The only ones I've been dying to see return are The Church, The Subway and The Street from MK3.

The Subway came back in Armageddon, but it was poorly done and the music was insultingly bad. I liked how the fighters hit the ceiling when juggled a few times though; if this arena is brought back this feature should also return, but on the third ceiling smack, there should be a transition into The Street level.

All 3 of those backgrounds had amazing music in MK3, and I don't see any need to update it. If they must, they shouldn't stray too far from the original mood... No nu-metal, please.

the netthership

i'd like to see start taking place on the main deck then work your way down to the lower levels to fight, then the dungeon. death traps i could see. 1 being if knocked over the edge of the ship you'd get attacked by a shark. the 2nd being mauled to death by people in there cells. i'd like to see the swinging body's improve to.

soul chamber

i was so bummed how mka made the arena. i feel that the face you see in the backgrond should burn or take your soul similar to shang stung or marvels ghost rider for a deathtrap. maybe have it where sometimes you fight in heaven until you get knocked up in the air and then fall down into the soul chamber. darken the colors but make them visible enough to see your shadows in this enviorment. maybe have sorcers and undead characters recieve a small boost of speed and power, but if in heaven gods and mortals recieve a small boost in speed and power. have the effect be different if good guys are in soul chamber and bad guys are in heaven.

Besides the living forest I want the bottom of the pit to be fully realized in 3d.
Fighting Reptile and then later fighting in that level in mkt was one of my top 3 favorites.

I loved fighting on the floor with it covered with spikes and all the skulls and skeletons and defeated fighters down there. It would be nice if they set that level up in 3d where you are really down there surrounded by spikes and you are fighting down among the rows of them.

They could have a death trap impale down there that could only be activated in certain areas or they could just implement an old school stage fatality which would probably be my preference.

Maybe they could have some rats or snakes crawling around down there among the corpses as well.

That is one level that really symbolizes mk to me. Exotic locales, death, and the most insane environment anybody could think of to have a fight.

i'd like to see it return. here's how. keep the piharana death trap but also add a snake death trap where the tree turns into the snake and rips your opponnet's upper body appart. this can only happen if your able to do a pop up move on your oppnnet that lands them up above the snakes head.
keep the statue but at night come alive for 1 attack on you or your opponnet whichever is closer to the statue. have the sand be able to interact with the player as sand moves when you do sweeps and etc.

also be able to kick the sand into your opponnets eyes for a free hit but have a limit like 2 per battle. similar to sonyas kiss that blinds you. i'll post more this week.
