- Shao Kahn gets killed off for good, soul taken by Ermac and that's it! He might have control of Ermac in some way, which would lead to Ermac allying himself with the likes of Reptile, Noob Saibot, Havik, Baraka, Kano and such to take down the Shinnok's, Raiden's, Fujin's and even Shang Tsung & Quan Chi. I rather Ermac stay a sneaky outside loner who might team up with someone for his own gain.
- This lead me to Quan Chi: he should be the big bad ass in the beginning. Shang has lost his touch with being the master of evil. I like a battle between Quan Chi and Shinnok to conquer all realms if Shinnok is in.
- Lui Kang should have some kind of God status so he can actually be meaningful in battling big bad guys. He should not become evil, but rather be indifferent to Raiden & his earthrealm warriors while keeping in touch with Kung Lao, Bo Rai Cho and still keep kind of an outsider status. Kind of like a Monk with a hood on, going quietly about his business where nobody really knows what he's doing.
- Kotal Kahn should swoop in early and take advantage of the battle between Quan Chi and Shinnok as well as evil vs. good.
- Sindel should be killed off early by Mileena and Baraka who will allign with Goro (who is not under Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung or whoever anymore), because he finally realizes he is strong enough by himself, will fight in the honour of Shokan and want power. He realizes just like Kahn that the Tartakan are a strong, vicious race that he can maybe at some point get rid or serve under him. Baraka & Mileena will control the niches of realms and use the portals to gain power.
- Kotal Kahn, the winner of Quan Chi vs. Shinnok, King Goro, King Baraka & Queen Mileena would then be the big 5 or controllers of the realms. The mission of Raiden is to appeal to Kotal Kahn's good graces and allow to have another tournament to challenge the other big bosses. While Goro would be his own boss, Baraka and Mileena have their own little empire and not be directly under Goro, just an agreement.
- Here is where Sonya, Johhny, Cassie, Jacqui and them are introduced and train for the upcoming tournament meanwhile fighting in the war.
- Lui Kang will fight for himself and attack Raiden as well as Goro, Quan Chi & the Tartakan for their evil and affiliation with Shang Tsung. Maybe he can allign with Ermac who will use his Shao Kahn influence to manipulate Lui into taking revenge.
- Havik should be in the story and be summoned by any of the big 5 or a smaller group of evil guys to create chaos at some point during the war or its aftermath.
- Shang Tsung should be on the outside looking in and alligned with some new characters like Ferra / Torr, D'vorah and maybe some old like Reptile, Kano and co. and Scorpion to fight for power and stop Raiden. Maybe allign with Fujin to gain advantage.
