I'll pass on the cyber demon.
Of course, it would depend on how realistic they could make a character like that, but I think it's a bit too techno for my taste.

I think having a playable Cyber-Demon character would be a waste of space that could easily be occupied by a better character...
Also he wouldn't contribute much to the story...he would just be...a cyber-demon, nothing more than one of Noob's minions... =/
But a better idea, i think, would be to have Smoke, in a way partially becoming part demon, because a simple robots who only follows orders and whose only purpose for appearing in the games now is because he was 're-programmed'...
He deserves much better

Smoke surely is already part demon, just look at his eyes. His mask look demonish as well. With the Etherreal design, red eyes and mask, Smoke really attributes as demon-like.

Now that would be awesome MK VS Doom Universe. We would defiantly have fatalities then

... A few questions. How the hell would you control the Cacodemon? Pain Elementall? Lost Souls? What the heck would all their special powers be? Majority of the characters only have one ability.
I don't want another cyber amongst us. It's going to be completely similar to the other three.

i don't see why everyone is so against new cyber characters. i wouldnt mind more cyber characters aslong as they brought something new to the game. a cyber cryomancer would be the next logical character but i could go for a cyber demon.
personally i would like to see a cyber dragon man.

Cyber Cryomancer? You mean like another Sub-Zero with only robotic moves.
That's just like asking for a Reptilian Cyber or a Specter Cyber or a Telekinetic Cyber, Shadow Cyber, Rain Cyber....
Need I go on? 3 is enough for Mortal Kombat. Cyrax and Sektor are basically alike only with the exception that Sektor throws out missles and Cyrax throws out Grenades, Cyrax has a net and Sektor has a flame thrower.
We don't need more cybers. Unless they ditch the ones they have and replace them with something totally different though in a Cyber form.

IceBaby....that is your opinion. My opinion stands. It is not pointless to make more cybernetic characters...for example the character does not even have to be playable or it could be an alternate outfit....maybe even implemented into Kreate A Fighter. If it were to be in the game all you have to do is not use it...that simple.

If your going to add a new cyborg character it better have a well written story and be unique from the other three. NO MORE COPIED CHARACTERS. The age of palette swaps died w/ MK3 and it should stay that way. I don't think a new cyborg would fit well in the storyline. The only real possibilities would be a cyber-demon or a tekunin. I would doubt a cyber-demon as he would just be an underling of Smoke, whose story is already growing stale as simply Noob's lackey.

I've always wanted to see what the Cyber Demons would look like in MK. Too bad there wasn't any visual endings of them.
But since the story never went deep into them, I always felt Smoke should've become/looked like one. Especially since he was in a darkened state and trapped in the Netherealm for quite some time. He would slowly be twisted and transformed into a pure Cyber Demon while still keeping his ethereal uniqueness. Even if this was to happen it wouldn't necessarily mean he'd have to be evil.
I never liked Smoke's face in MKD. He looked like a power ranger IMO; not intimidating at all. The red eyes made it worst....i kinda hoped he would've had a more ghostly cybernetic-skeleton-like mysterious look.

No duh it's your opinion... so I stated mine by talking about yours. I'm not saying it's pointless to make another cyborg, but having same abilities as other characters is pointless. That is where I was heading of.
And what the heck are you talking about as an alternate costume?

lol ok...for a second there i thought you were just attacking my thoughts...as for what i meant about alt costumes or whatever....
i meant like maybe some characters could have "what if" costumes or to put it in other terms "fantasy" costumes for original chars. like this cyber demon idea could work with a few original chars. its not the best idea but its an idea.
although the fantasy costume idea would be cool for unlockables for each char...like a cyber sub-zero or even cyrax as a human. the list could go on.

The only character I can imagine becoming a Cyber Demon (dumb concept in my opinion) would be Smoke. I'd imagine spending time in the Netherealm will cause Smoke to mutate a bit and whatever human part existed within him become twisted and demonic. I would envision Smoke to be a pretty scary opponent to go up against.
